Very un-serious Jeeves and Wooster crossover where Niall is one of Bertie's bohemian friends who does a lot of drugs and gets into trouble. All of his novels were written while he was fucking flying on some combo of absinthe and amphetamines while in Paris.
The entire time they're friends, Bertie is oblivious to the fact that Niall and Ruben are stepbrothers. He thinks Ruben is Niall's best friend who is really dedicated to beating people up for him. (He's threatened Bertie twice, he knows better than to mess with Jeeves.) It's not until the Niall and Ruben joint funeral that Bertie finds out and he asks Jeeves if he knew the whole time and didn't tell him. Yes, Jeeves knew the whole time. No, he did not tell him.
Killing Eve AU where Ruben is Villanelle, Niall is Eve-ish. Niall's marriage falls apart, he loses his job, his best friend is stabbed in a nightclub, and then he finds out that his long-lost step-brother is an international assassin. Sure, Ruben killed his best friend and caused him a lot of grief but also Ruben beats him up and then says "I think about you when I masturbate" and Niall is like "oh...huh...I didn't expect that". Then Niall stabs him. <3
Turn: Washington's Spies crack!AU where Niall is Abe (Jamie Bell's character) and Ruben is (extremely fictional) Simcoe. Niall has a wife, kid, and a cabbage patch. Ruben is burning the countryside and terrorizing innocent civilians. Unlike Abe, Niall kinda digs being on edge 24/7 and waiting for some batshit redcoat to kick down his door and put a bayonet to his throat. (I think Niall fits more with Arnold's mindset of being a little shit and going nuclear.)
The dynamic in Turn already includes:
Abe and Simcoe both cause so many problems. So many.
Abe leads a double life and fails miserably. Everyone knows. Abe has a crummy parent. Abe also has a wife he doesn't deserve.
Simcoe harassing Abe's love interest (note: this is not his wife!), possibly because Abe is interested in her?
Simcoe gets angry and bloody a lot. Also screams.
They try to kill each other at least three times
Abe and Simcoe DUELING. Simcoe fucking winks at him.
Abe is sometimes the worst spy, an actual idiot.
Pretty sure Simcoe tries to kill his boss but kills his horse instead. He pisses off another colleague by killing a spy at his dinner table.

Simcoe breaks into Abe's father's house, bounces Abe's kid on his knee, then threatens someone
Abe could single-handedly traumatize his own family but Simcoe is nice enough to help
Read the finished drabble set of Faithful Image! There's a sequel of drabble sets in the works but I'm focused on another Half Man fic at the moment
I'm someone who flits from idea to idea, never to settle down with one for too long and my WIPs folder is overrun with things that never got off the ground. That being said, I'm really proud at having completed this and really proud that I'm satisfied with it too. Is it perfect? No, but fics aren't meant to be perfect.
In any case, here's to all the other writers like me who have trouble finishing things and sitting with the imperfections in their writing!
