Hi, Im not a radqueer but I had a question about the community, I don't really know any radqueers since Im not one myself so I didn't really know who to reach out to, so sorry if you guys don't feel equipped to answer this lol. But what exactly is the "point" of radqueer? Is it a movement, or just niche community that enjoys doing its own thing away from others? Ive seen a decent few "the future is radqueer" statements from members of the community, which implies to me there's some sort of goal for larger societal impact, but I don't see a lot of network building or activism happening beyond coining/rant posts here on Tumblr or small Discord servers, most of what Ive observed is flag/label/digital art creation and occasional community in-fighting posts which makes it seem more similar to a fandom-like community structure. Is there any irl radqueer activity, or is that not the point? Sorry if any of that is confusing lol Im happy to elaborate if needed!
No worries! I'll answer the best I can as a relatively new radqueer. I actually flipped from anti-rq to rq only last year.
From my perspective, I believe it can be all of the above. Radqueer activism outside of the internet is little to none. However, there is advocacy outside of the internet for many things that would typically fall under the radqueer umbrella.
Most are familiar with the BDSM and Kink Community. The community has made some actual real-life protests. This includes Kink at Pride movements, advocacy to include atypical kink, atypical fetish and paraphilia under the general queer label, Pro-BDSM protests in the UK for the UK banning such topics in adult media, and even parts of the Bulldog Bath movement.
While few and far between, Transabled advocacy also exists. This primarily stems from individuals with atypical dysphoria and BIID speaking publicly about their experiences and how important it is that medical procedures or treatment exist for people to obtain disabilities rather than "curing" them. Some examples are Chloe Jennings-White, Jewel Shuping, John Stuart Mill, Nick O'Halloran and Footless Jo.
Mad pride, anti-asylum and disability justice movements also exist, which can fall under radqueer stances that focus on destigmatizing behavior caused by the brain that is "disordered" compared to the social norm. I recommend this website to learn more!

There are plenty of others that I recommend researching like Youth Liberation movements, Cripplepunk, Riot Grrrl, The A Project, Diaracialism, and Transpecies (which is really interesting to research because the people known for advocacy are really cool!)
Over all, I think the radqueer community could be a lot of different things depending on which part of the community someone is in! The online community, especially on Tumblr can seem more fandom based, but there are also a lot of movements that focus on normalization of things that are seen as odd or rejectable in society. In simplicity, radqueers advocate for a future where there's freedom of labels, bodily autonomy, individualism, and accepting those who are looked down upon or harassed in the present.
