Supervised swim time.

Alastor loves taking a swim in my koi pond. His eyes get super wide, and tongue goes nuts when i take him outside. Little dude knows by smell what time it is. Note- it's a thousand gallon pond, contained within a screened porch. The fountains are turned off when hes in there so I can also better see him. The koi pretty much ignore him, and he them.

After about a 15-30 minute swim i take him out and this dude has the zoomies. All looney goosey in my hand and wont stay still.

My animals make me so happy. They at least make me feel like im not being abandoned. And id like to at least hope they enjoy my presence.

Also I promise this isnt alastors permanent enclosure. He just loves cat trees so it's an easy piece of enrichment. But currently planning out a layout before I start drilling mounts n stuff onto the walls

Athena came with me to the antique mall this week. She was so behaved. Nervous with the new smells, but wrapped around my neck and just stayed there the whole time. When her face went into my jacket it was like the world stopped existing for her 😆😆

My boy Alastor is now about 7ft to almost 8ft long. 3yrs old now, and in a full sized enclosure. It got really warm out a few nights ago, and he absolutely got the zoomies when I let him swim in my koi pond, and then helped get some spots of old shed off him. What a sweet baby he's become... still has a couple spicy moments, but after a few minutes holding him he settles down. I've picked up too if he's in a playful mood when you take him out of his enclosure he'll play chase. Alastor makes himself hard to get when you try to get him out. Lol

Diana is fat and happy after her rat. Took her foliage out so she wouldn't snag anything or bonk her face on stuff... can hardly fit in her hide 😭 😭

Shes gonna be a mama at some point next year!

Update: hes on day 4 of medicine. Oral given for 30 days... it's such a hassle trying to hold him down. Vet over here telling me I could do this by myself DAWG jkjk I love my vet. We have a mandatory revisit on the 22nd I think?

This is actually more of a small informational post about aminals like this.

Alastor is a reticulated python. Approximately 1yr old give or take a couple months. Do your research with any... ANY AND ALL animals. I cant emphasize it enough. Reticulated pythons are not to be had for funsies. They're a life long commitment (any animal), and will eventually be a large animal that will easily overpower you. With consistent handling and understanding his ques as to how he's feeding he's began to calm down and open up. Slowly getting to where you can pet his head too. The only time he ever becomes nasty is when he's about to start his shedding process or he's hungy (which, big same little guy).

But this picture here is to show just how strong he is at his small size. My hand is purple. You dont want these animals around your neck until you 100% feel confident enough about them. And even still, you should have another person with you.

Anyway, typing all this up on mobile really doesn't help my adhd brain so I hope I got some points across. Rereading it just gives me anxiety for some unknown reason. But if not for the informational part, look how much his colors have changed so far. 😭
