If Hollywood was a fair place (it isn’t), in a movie adaptation, Rhysand would be played by a middle eastern man. If you know about Riz Ahmed’s carreer, you know he would be the best as Rhysand. Hard to empathize with, at first, before you realize he’s filled with kindness. That’s basically all characters Riz Ahmed has played since the start of his career. As for the physical aspect, don’t forget that nobody on this planet could ever fit perfectly Rhysand’s physical description. (Let’s also not forget the message it would send.)

OLIVIA DEJONGE as AELIN/CELAENA SARDOTHIEN The tv series has been announced. I'm not sure that all the action the book series will be correctly portrayed in a series produced by HULU. But whatever, if the casting is fine, I'll be fine. Which is why I really want this actress to play Aelin. She is the right age, and fits the physical description. She also plays very well a character who's fierce but still vulnerable (like she did in the movie The Visit).

The only actress I would accept as a successor to Sarah Michelle Gellar, in a Buffy the vampire slayer remake/adaptation (which would be an abomination, but might still happen in the future) is CARLSON YOUNG. Just her and nobody else.
