Regarding the Odyssey, if you don't mind: favorite and least favorite bits about it?

please note that i am not a greek scholar nor a film buff, and i’m working with an 8 year old reading of the text!

**spoilers for the odyssey below (i understand it’s a story from thousands of years ago, but not everyone has studied the western canon)**

favorite parts:

circe’s transformation of the men into pigs. i have never been so disgusted yet so enthralled.

himesh patel was excellent and out acted some of the A-listers

the scene in hades

the butchering of athena’s character into nothing more than a figment of odysseus’s guilt

the oversimplication of xenia or zeus’s law

the sound was an unbearably muddy wash of noise

the simultaneous girlbossification and reducing to a love interest of penelope

It’s actually really funny how Harry was so gagged at Snape disarming Lockhart in the dueling class that it fundamentally changed his life. Expelliarmus is his #1 go to spell in fights and he used it against Voldemort twice and it literally ended up killing him.

generally you shouldn't write run-on sentences because they get confusing and it doesn't give the reader a break. that doesn't apply to me though my run-on sentences are fun and understandable and they have a rhythm to it that makes you want to keep reading
