The moment you are waiting for! The inside of my matcha chocolate layered cake! I'm pretty happy with how it looks. Could have used more buttercream on the top layer but this is probably where I began to get worried that I didn't have enough buttercream to cover the entire cake. Still pretty good I think for my first go at baking and icing the cake. Oh and there is a strawberry on it as @therealdanprime's Mom thought it would look good with some colour. Slicing the layers for a chocolate layered cake for upcoming post. First time doing this! It is a bit more difficult than thought as you need to stay even and make sure that the layer doesn't crumble! Whew! What a night! Taught my young #macaron protege how to make macarons (we did earl grey shells) and here she is piping buttercream for the first time as I coach her through (for passionfruit macarons).
