I had something entirely different planned for this theme, but nostalgia pulled me back to Star Wars and Kingdom Hearts. I’ve always been fascinated by the parallels between Luke and Ezra: two heroes walking similar paths, having never even met. That’s the nature of parallels: they run side by side, never crossing. Then again, in stories, as in life, you never truly know where the road leads

Theme 47 - Creation

One of my favorite things to do as a digital artist is creating original characters or OCs for short. Nothing is more satisfying than watching an OC come to life in your works. I’ve had these ones on my mind for a while and was very proud to bring them to life. Allow to introduce everyone to my original hedgehog trio: Burnout, Strike and Aero.

Theme 80 - Words

A buddy of mine was tryna use ChatGPT to generate an image of his favorite video game characters (iykyk 😉) but kept getting frustrated with the results because of the restrictions and having to constantly reword his prompt. Out of curiosity, I asked him for the prompt that he used and he sent me the following: “Twins locked in ritual combat, each armed with swords, wearing crystal amulets and personified by the colors red and blue”. I decided to use that prompt as the inspiration behind this image. When I showed it to my friend, he loved it and said that while it wasn’t what he expected, he couldn’t say it was inaccurate 😂

Theme 48 - Childhood

Originally I was gonna do something different for this theme. It was supposed to be a picture of my younger brother and I at the park on a hot summer day, eating ice cream and enjoying the day, as we had done often during our childhood. But the more I drew it, the less motivated I was to put in effort cause I kept thinking to myself, “This seems pretty basic”. I decided to scrap it and start over, once again delving into the memories of my childhood years, looking for an inspiration. As much fun stuff as I’ve done as a kid, nothing clicked and that’s when it hit me. Instead of drawing something I would normally do as a kid, why not draw something I’ve wanted to do, but never got the chance? And this is what came to mind 😅

Theme 1 - Introduction

At the start of the Fall 2018 semester, during my senior year of college, this random dude was assigned to work with my buddies and I on our class project. None of us really knew him and truthfully, I wasn’t too sure if we were gonna get along. He and I had our first one-on-one interaction about a week later and I asked him, possibly, the most random question ever: “You a fan of Pokémon?”. Never imagined that my weird and honestly poor attempt to make conversation would result in a friendship I’ve never been more blessed to have
