THIS IS LATE !!! but for the book asks, 7 11 and 19 !
Ehh dont apoligize for being late :)
7: is there a series/book that got you into reading?
i think my interest in reding comes and goes in waves… but i remember 8/9th grade books ehlping me, which included the 39 clues and murder on the orient express i believe
11: what non-fiction books did you like if any?
i got The River of Doubt by Candace Miliard for my birthday, that shit was so good. Im talking annotations on nearly every pge, very inteesting prose, just a real page turner. Some of the background was a bit long, i didnt really care for the scientific explanations, but i have to respect all the research that went into it.
also Marie Curie by Susan Quinn was good, i read it twice. A bit slow but very exact and bountiful in its detil. I enjoyed Edison’s Ghosts by Katie Spalding, but that was written by a mathemtician aand not a historian so im a little suspicious of it
19: most disliked popular books?
Well i dont read like. Trendy books, and pretty much all the classic novels i read are great. But i Do Not like Escaping Peril, peril’s inner dialogue is sooooo annoyying. Last time i read anyway. Which was like 2 years ago…

If I had a nickel for everytime I ended up shipping an artist displaced by the storm and a researcher together, I'd have two nickels. Which... isn't a lot! But odd that it has happened twice.
And both of the pairings have a person with white hair and blond hair. Coincidence? Most probably.
Tumblr added a bunch of tracking shit to share urls, so now ill teach you how to get rid of them
if you copy a url by sharing on the website, the link will look like this
getting rid of tracking in these is easy, just delete everything after the question mark and you are golden
in the case for the app, its slightly more complicated
first you have to delete at. that appears before tumblr(.)com the other tracking shit on this one has a lot more info, so please, clean app urls. after the first set of numbers, there's a / you have to delete everything after it
a clean Tumblr url should look like this
blog safely
Removing this garbage makes posts embed on discord btw

How I thought the continents were like as a kid
I just tend my garden (this tumblr) and mind my business.
Y'know, somewhere in the equator--I dunno where exactly--there's a city called Nousia.
Technically, its name is Tall Tower City, and they call it that because of the Tall Tower. Real creative, eh? Get used to it.
Anyway, only the most scientist-y of scientists live there. I'm saying those guys who just couldn't get enough of "discovering the truth of nature"--that's how they'd phrase it, believe me--that they keep doing it even after they die.
'Course, you got the big shots--Einstein and Newton and the like... probably myriad others I don't know the name of. But there's also regular-ass people, like, there goes Muhammad Nobody on his way to study actuation swords or whatever the fuck.
I mean, I hear it's a nice place to live. They make sure everyone respects nature, with like, a light curfew and shit. Hear they hate littering more than murder.
And even with such big names walking around, they've got a good government. Ethics committee keeps things up and running, and obviously if you don't like 'em, you can gather your buddies and stage a coup. What, ya thought it'd be just like Cosmo-fucking-politania with their code of laws bullshit? Nah, they actually split off from them. Few centuries ago a bunch of scientists asked to move to this bigass island... what was it back then, Dried Yellow Grass Island? I dunno. But anyway, they did that, got their results, and whaddya know, some more scientists wanna join up with 'em. And it eventually snowballs into a nice big bustling city. But though they're so far away from Cosmo-balls-itania, they still gotta listen to the big shots, with their Earth-ass rules and shit. 'Course, they get fed up and kick out the tyrants. Just 'cause they're all nerds doesn't mean they can't organize when they gotta, I guess.
Not all sunshine and rainbows, though. To protect the local wildlife, they built the Wall of Friendship... or was it the Wall of Harmony? And the city can't develop past the Wall. Plus, you have to worry about being murdered or kidnapped if you live there. Yeah, they've got even less qualms about that than most folks. And if someone forgets to put away their strand of ebola, whoops, outbreak. At least they're smart enough to just hunker down on the island if that happens. Not lookin' to recreate the Spanish flu or anything.
If you're interested, it's like a... year's walk away from here.
