“ Okay, so… Here’s a good start- please don’t shoot me. I mean not right now. ” He lifted his arms slightly, in an act of surrender.

“ And from there, I had no idea that anyone was here. ” Despite the clear evidence that multiple people resided in the area.

“How could you not know there were people here?” Lori kept her gun up but she did not have a lot of fear. There were plenty of her people nearby incase anything went wrong. “Where did you come from?”

How to create an effective lie.... “ I didn’t know because-because I wasn’t paying attention. To where I was going. ” That sounded true enough, right?

How peachy. She was onto him. He had only two options, at this point, none of which involved compliance. “ You’re right. But, would you look at my wrist, this meeting is more important. ”

As soon as he finished his sentence, he made a break for it, not keen on getting caught or fighting.

Billy's eyes darted toward the bat, and back at the man in front of him. This truly didn't bode well for him. Well, it was take it back and reveal the lie, or dig himself deeper.

“ Well-well, maybe it's almost exactly what it looked like. But I didn't know this car belonged to anyone. ” Dig deeper, it is.
