God hates women

As a kid I thought God gates women because I grew up in a strict house where the guys could do whatever they wanted and the girls had strict rules. So I thought wow girls’ lives suck cause there are all these beautiful women but only guys can touch them.

Some more advice

So my best friend of 10+ years just told me that they have depression and that they’ve known for a while. Apparently they’ve had suicidal thoughts since around the time we had met as kids. They told me that they have made attempts and that they now see a therapist and are on meds. I’m happy they’re on meds and that they’re finally getting proper help now, even after all this time.

I understand that having depression is hard and that it can’t be easy to tell someone else, but I’m still hurt that she didn’t tell her best friends after nearly 10 years. I don’t know what to do. I just want to be there for them and help them continue to get better.

But how do I get rid of this shitty feeling that they’ve been keeping a huge part of their lives from me until now. How do I stop being mad or angry at them.
