Fall Term 2020

The school year has started once again! It's almost the end of week 2, but I've been busy lately. I will be trying to post more and become more productive throughout the week. I'm excited to see what this term brings!

09.08.20 | trying out something new: journaling about films! i saw andrey zvyagintsev's the return and beat takeshi's hana-bi and they both shook me out of my mind. there is so much to unpack, explore, and interpret in both films that the next morning i had to sit down and get everything on my mind down on paper.

i saw both films on mubi, a fantastic international film streaming service!! their student accounts used to be free (and aren't anymore rip) but i still highly recommend -- totally worth it for film nerds like me.

I make my ramen the way a friend taught me in eleventh grade. Every fall, I listen to a playlist made for me by a boy I drove across a border to hook up with. I eat sushi because a girl who won’t talk to me anymore made me try it, and Indian food because my best friend’s parents ordered for me before I knew what I liked. There are movies I love because someone I loved loved them first. I am a mosaic of everyone I’ve ever loved, even for a heartbeat.

My boyfriend got me some salted caramel hot chocolate from Whittard and I’ve been trying to resist drinking it all, but like, it’s so damn good!! Hot chocolate really is my guilty pleasure drink. My boyfriend knows me so well <3

- watching ted-ed and crashcourse videos about literature and theatre on 2x speed

- knowing where to find the best free ebooks of literally any book

- judy poovey and/or francis abernathy being your favourite character(s) in tsh
