Jarvis has a fear of the outdoors (like, it's almost impossible to take him for walks, he starts shaking and becomes immovable) but we've learned he likes watching the outside, so we made him a little perch by the office window so he can get some sunshine and watch people. We're hoping that it's at least some enrichment for him, since his trauma leaves him cooped up a lot. It's become his favorite spot in the house.

Repost https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1H1Ljh2QQh/ Victorian photographer, Julia Margaret Cameron, was born on this day in 1815.
She chose this portrait as her favourite from all her works.
Having taken up photography at the age of forty-eight, Cameron became a pioneer of photography in the Victorian age. Her works were exclusively portraits and staged tableaux, and, over a 12-year period, she took over 1200 photographs. These included striking portraits of the scientist Sir John Herschel and poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
The subject of this particular photograph is Julia Jackson, Cameron’s niece and god-daughter. Jackson was the mother of writer Virginia Woolf and painter Vanessa Bell. She was photographed by Cameron almost fifty times, and was a model for many leading artists, including Edward Burne-Jones.

This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct

A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for false claims in its AI-generated search overviews. In this case, Google's AI had wrongly linked two publishers to scams and shady business practices. The court treated the AI overviews as Google's own content and rejected Google's argument that users were responsible for fact-checking the results themselves.

feeding her stuffie must live on....
Okay Im serously thinking of quitting art...
Because my frickin NIECE who JUST turned THIRTEEN-
-Is becoming some kind of renaissance wonder child in painting techniques!!
Im not saying that because im her aunt - she truly have soo much more talent than I had when I was thirteen!
And she paint everything! A lot of still life aquarelles and buildings - i thought she had printed out a picture from school or something but it was her own physical painting she had done on watercolor paper. And she understand the way of shadows and colors (and colors IN shadows) like a professional already and Im extremely impressed.
And then I saw one of her acrylic paintings on canvas in the style of frikin Alaiganuza!!
So, imma quit, she's the new artist of the family 😂
I refuse to stand and just be like "hello Im an adult that has been drawing and painting my whole life and have not evolved in my technique or style since high school - and this is my niece who is thirteen years old."
Im so proud of her ofcouse, and I wish that I could show you her work but I hate it when people are showing off their childrens art on the internet so im not going to do that. And aslo as you can guess I am quite jealous of her talent! 😂
Happy pride to those 5 seconds where Charlie Swan thought Jacob was coming out to him in the most insane way possible
