“I’m coping” girl you are watching It (1990)
if Eddie Kaspbrak from It (1990) has a thousand fans i am one of them, if he has a hundred i am one of them, if he has ten i am one of them, if he has none, if the world is against him then i am against the world
Can we all talk about the fact that Eddie Kaspbrak is 110% gay and he only married Myra because he felt like his love of men and specifically his love of Richie “Trashmouth” Tozier was filthy. We all know how much Eddie despises dirty filthy things like being gay and ,as of the new movie, AIDS. He grew up in the times when being gay was seen as a disease and a sickness, something to be afraid of. Eddie must have seen his crush on Richie as another sickness to add to his long long list of problems. When he forgot about Richie do you think he forgot about his “gay sickness”? Do you think he felt empty and incomplete? Do you think he was confused, wondering why he wasn’t happy? He had a wife, a successful business and was still so empty and lost but also inexplicably dirty. He felt like he had to wash his hands of something he couldn’t even remember doing. How do you think he felt when he walked into that diner and saw this man he had forgotten about completely? Do you think he felt some kind of relief in finally finding why he had felt filthy all those years? Did his heart float on air or did it plummet to the ground, plummet into those sewers that had haunted him so long ago? When he laughed and joked with Richie and the other Losers, do you think for a moment he felt more clean then he had felt in decades? How quickly do you think that illusion was shattered? Did he die still believing that maybe he could leave Derry after all this was over, leave with Richie, and finally be happy? Maybe just maybe he could be happy.
Can you believe it! Torn apart by dogs again!

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, written and directed by women, basically portrays marriage as a life-or-death curse, with an absolutely suffocating atmosphere from the very beginning. If women aren’t stuck in dysfunctional marriages, then they’re dealing with a terminal illness and dying on their wedding day or they’re Rachel, having anxiety attacks from the moment it becomes real that she’s getting married that weekend. Marriage and the expectations surrounding it, from a female perspective, as psychological horror. Dear God, it’s pure female gaze ecstasy. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this series.
