I don’t know tapuy personally but ive been following them for a while. From what I know it all started when Tapuy made that careless comment insinuating how clsb shippers are uncultured, but it seems that it wasnt meant to be serious. either way it still came off as very insensitive so iirc, tapuy quickly apologized about it. Tapuy has always been firm that they only like sbcl, but dont mean any disrespect to clsb. It’s just their personal preference. The situation quickly got out of hand anyways and people were understandably miffed. From what I can tell, neither side was truly harassing the other at first. It's just that the sbclsb community on twit seems tight knit, so the situation escalated and it stressed tapuy out that they had to take a break. After some time tapuy came back from their hiatus but they still havent fully recovered from the incident so I assume that might be the reason why they blocked a lot of accounts. I’m not following the situation as closely this time, because I really dont want to see it anymore but all I know is that they deactivated for a second time, after seeing another upsetting tweet about them not long after coming back.

from what i've heard, they were already blocking people from before their hiatus which led to a lot of people being rightfully sad because they were her fans and she blocked them simply for liking the same ship switched and claimed it was triggering for her.

anyway i'm gonna get a little unhinged at this point so if anything i say puts you off then you know i'm going out of my mind because this situation is so baffling it fried my brain

please explain to me how shota pussy isn't triggering but the same ship switched is. now there's a cult of people in her defence and genuinely? they probably are just afraid of being blocked. personally it will never be that deep. it is pathetic for someone so well-loved to cause a divide within this fandom when we are already so demonised in the other side of the kuro fandom. she has functioning fingers and a brain, she doesn't have to follow her cielseba followers back, nor does she have to be nosey enough to check the content they post and most importantly, if she can draw then she can scroll.

no sympathy from me towards tapuy on this matter. if they did leave the fandom (or maybe it's another 'deactivate and i'll be back feening for attention and everyone will praise me' 🙄), maybe it'd be better if they STAY GONE because the damage has already been done, their cult of followers already think sebaciel is better than cielseba (as if these are different ships) and they now also believe that people who like cielseba are harassers. if they quit, the polarisation will get worse unless they solve this matter but tapuy probably won't listen even though it's only going to extend the drama if they don't come and talk to this person and solve things. for me personally however? idgaf im chilling off twitter and never entering that shitsite

Ah, the way she’s aware she’s putting this person on blast to her 46k followers instead of using her other account to talk to the person in private, the way she guilt trips her followers into unfollowing the person, the way she washes her hands of it by saying not to attack them, but then again she says she can’t control her 46k followers (at most she might just be happy with a mass unfollowing), the way she divided the community with her fans outright wishing people to choose Tapuy as if this was a fair fight, the way she deactivated, devastating her fans, possibly polarizing them against this person, and probably never even responded to the person reaching out to her despite her whole callout being her way of “reaching out” to the person to stop. Maybe not even reach out, maybe it’s a threat for the person to stop complaining about her in their second account because thousands of people are on standby. This is a social battlefield and I’m sick of it. And that’s just this week.

It’s definitely not a calculated manipulation, but it sure reads as manipulative. Maybe step away for a while and think about all this.

I’m not even surprised she would go after this one single person criticizing her or being sad about her in their second account, when the subtweets criticizing her actions from a month ago weren’t even insulting her, and I could count maybe less than 10 or so posts/people who said anything during that time. Subtweeting can be hurtful yes, but Jesus Christ. 46k people love her and even the subtweeters had nothing against her. But she made her followers believe that these subtweets were harassment. Now there are more people against her for her own actions. She dug her own ditch with this one.

It’s true that the person she’s going after has their own issues, they have opinions I don’t agree with, and translations make them sound rude. Tapuy was right about this person criticizing CW animation to the point that it’s hard to read, it’s an opinion I don’t really care much about. But my god, putting them on blast like that? God help this fandom have a spine and not bite into the drama. God help this fandom not blindly pander to someone just because they have good art and a huge following.

I’m guessing people would get mad over this, say that we’re bullying Tapuy while she’s down. But my god, is it bullying if we’re just calling out that her actions had consequences that are hurting real people? Are we just going to be sheep who stay quiet just because she’s a big artist that had a crash out? I dunno, I don’t want trouble, and I’m not evil for saying her actions were shitty.
