tarot readings

hi everyone ! so, ive really been wanting to practice tarot reading more and more,,,, but the motivation i have to read my own is practically non-existant for who knows why

thats why ive decided (quite impulsively but something’s telling me to do this) to offer FREE TAROT READINGS !

im being 100% serious, in the common new year (2021) ill be offering free tarot readings. they’ll be pretty basic, most likely 1,3 or 5 card spreads just to give you insight or maybe even answers ! please just be aware im certainly not the greatest by my standards and this is also a way for me to practice my craft. im doing this to help you as well as myself so please don’t be too harsh on my readings 🥺

Hey you! Stop scrolling for a moment, it’s time for your checkup. Take a moment to check each of these things and fix any problems you might find.

Wards and Shields

Are your special spaces still warded properly? Are the barriers still strong? Are there any holes or damages?

How are things with your familiar? Your companions? The local land wights? The spirit(s) of your house? Do they need anything from you to keep the relationship strong, if you have one?

Are there any unexpected entities hanging around/taking up anchors? (Give your knickknacks a good check for this, as well as any old toys and jewelry.)

Do you have any promises, dedications, or oaths you’ve taken up? Have you been maintaining your end of the deal/is there anything you can do to be progressive about it?

☀️💧Ideas for using sun water💧☀️

🌞 drink first thing in the morning, or whenever you’re low on spoons, for an energy boost

🌞consider charging locations, like: sun water charged by/in a courthouse for justice, a playground for energy, a beach for happiness. Etc.

🌞consider charging times, like: sun water charged by the summer solstice for abundance, happiness, and faery magic. Sun water charged by the autumnal equinox for warmth, clarity, prosperity, and peace etc.

🌞 drink when you’re feeling sad for a happiness boost

🌞wash your face with sun water for a confidence glamour, bravery/armor glamour, hapiness boost and to give your skin a glow

🌞drink it before a speech or presentation for confidence and leadership

🌞take your medicine, vitamins, etc, with it, or drink it when you feel sick for a health boost

🌞mix it with lemon juice for a potent cleansing spell

🌞drink before school or studying to help you remember what you learn, stay confident, and protect you

🌞use it as an offering to solar deities

🌞 put some sun water in a spray bottle with a little sunflower oil (or any carrier oil) and some sunny essential oils (citrus, cinnamon, frankincense, etc.) And use it as a room spray/perfume

You’ll still hear people in Ireland even nowadays describing someone as being “away with the fairies”; they’re still there but they’re not all there, if you get my drift.

Easy Things To Do For Protection

Hey there Skeptics, here are some simple things you can do to protect yourself when practicing your craft!

Use salt (only indoors or in containers, do not at all ever use salt outside it will hurt the soil)

Use ground up eggshells (I use this as a substitute for salt when I'm outside)

Use herbs like rosemary, bay leafs, lavendar, etc.

Cleanse your space with smoke from incense or smoke cleansing bundles (Do NOT use white sage, sweetgrass, or palo santo unless you are a part of that closed practice)

Use the Pentacle symbol (it's always a good symbol for protection imo)

Use your personal religious symbols (such as the Ankh in Kemetism, or the Triquetra in Celtic Paganism)

Call on your deities or spirits for protection.

Set your intention as one of protection (basically you make the space protected because you want it to be)

Give a piece of jewlery the intention of protection.

Use crystals that are associated with protection like Fluorite or Black Tourmaline.

Center yourself, ground yourself, and allow yourself to believe you are safe. (Similar to setting an intention)

Hey I saw your response to a different anon about tarot and I just wanted to say that many many many Romani who actually grew up with the traditions agree that white people shouldn't be using tarot. The history of tarot was indeed started as playing cards but Roma are the only ones who divined from it. There is still much descrimination today for doing traditional practices and seeing white girls living their dream doing tarot is extremely disrespectful. Alright, I'm breaking character for this one because it involves me personally.

Again, as far as I know, saying tarot is endemic to romani culture is akin to saying moneylending is endemic to jewish culture.

As far as I am aware, the roma are not the only people to divine with tarot cards, and they did not invent the practice.

And again, the author of this blog is ethnically Romani. Although I am fairly isolated from the culture, I have access to people who aren’t. When I asked my culturally romani family members about this, they said they had never heard of this concept.

Now, that doesn’t inherently mean I am correct. I am completely open to the fact that I may be wrong about this. However, it does mean that I am going to have to ask for proof beyond “I saw some people say this somewhere“ because as far as I know, the earliest citation for romani people using tarot for divination people is from Elphias Levi’s Key of Mysteries (1861), and the earliest citation for divinatory tarot as we know it was from by Jean-Baptiste Alliette in approximately 1780, when he and Antoine Court published a guide for performing cartomancy with the Tarot of Marseilles.

Additionally, philosopher and tarot historian Michael Dummett noted, in his book The Game of Tarot. "it was only in the 1780s, when the practice of fortune-telling with regular playing cards had been well established for at least two decades, that anyone began to use the tarot pack for cartomancy.”

So, If you have a primary source on tarot being used for divination by romani people prior to 1780, I’ll have to reconsider.

A Simple Spell for Stress Relief

Description

Most of us have to cope with stress from time to time, and summer seems to increase the pressure for many. We feel like we should be relaxing, and because we’re not, that makes us feel even more stressed. Try this simple spell to help you deal with stress, now or at any time of the year. 

Ingredients

Fill a bowl with sand or salt (beach sand is great if you can get it but plain old salt will do). 

A white candle

An empty bowl

Method

Fill a bowl with sand or salt

Light a white candle and place an empty bowl in front of you. 

Let the sand/salt trickle through your fingers into the empty bowl and visualize your stress trickling away with it. 

As you do it say:
