jujutsu kaisen has been announced to finish in 2023. the end of battle between gojo satoru and ryomen sukuna, kenjaku's destined showoff with yuuta and restoring geto to peace should mark the end of the series. im not sure if the series will end in the annihilation of cursed energy from the world, or stabilizing cursed energy and restoration of preservative measures and a coping system for the people. anyhow i want to see a glimpse, if not all of what lies for the people of jujutsu high in the future. anyhow this arc seems to be the last one, majority of the plot will end here, anything else would be wrapping up of the series, sweeping off the last bits of their lives, and putting them in the bucket.
i can't believe jujutsu kaisen is a collection of events that occur within seven months. the day yuji itadori consumed ryomen sukuna's curse relic, the lives of all these people catapulted into the most incomprehensively jarring seven months of their lives. perhaps none of them could conjure what their lives would look like in a matter of a few days. all their lives reduced to crumbles in the blink of an eye.
At least give me a year? maybe two or if I beg a little more, give me ten. let my sister see the world I'm trying to create for her, give me a few more days to tell her I love her. at least let me have an anniversary with my students, give me that much. let me look back and not have half of them dead. let me see all their birthdays, we're turning seventeen this year, all of us, right? i didn't spend one trip of Earth around the Sun and back with them yet. at least let me spend Christmas with them, one tree wouldn't hurt, would it? let me have them for a bit more time, maybe then it will be okay to be this hurt.
seven months, our memories arent old enough yet.
promise
excuse me, i'll just let anyone who hasnt seen the other side have a look at this. just letting you know this exists. it seems like a vital information for society to see the zen'in twins together. personally it is the backbone of my existence

they’re so freaking cute I’m dying
Important question: no matter how embarrassing the answer is, tag or comment with the first song you can remember really liking as a little kid. The one you tried to listen to as much as possible and thought was really profound. Bonus points if you say how old you were.
i’ll start. the song “i talk to the wind” by king crimson was my favourite song when i was 7 years old … I thought it was so Moving. and it still slaps
dark paradise- lana del rey was the first song which i genuinely liked. the first time I thought music is something amazing and it’s this song. I was eleven yrs old.
asa mitaka please the costume had me shitting tears- it’s so pretty T T im in love with the og artist’s style. I loved it so much I wanted to make it with the girls

All of the 'former gifted kids' yelling at me that I don't even understand how bad they have it on my post about how 'gifted kid' actually means basically nothing re: how Unique™ you are are so funny. while I understand and respect the fact that being put under a lot of academic pressure is not great I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that being told that you're the specialest person on the planet earth by everyone for years and being effortlessly good at everything (until things get a bit more difficult) and being given a better education than your peers is not the most traumatising thing that can happen to a child lol
people don’t realise the loneliness abled people create for themselves by not giving into their talents and abilities. it makes us go crazy- honestly one of the most suffocating and painful feelings. the pain of not being what you could have been.
I understand some people are smarter than others, some people catch concepts quicker, some people have a naturally high aptitude in certain areas.
it might come across as a shock to you, but if you performed better than others in elementary and middle school, you’re not special. education is easy and most people don’t give a shit about their grades at that age. if you measure your intelligence based on your academic performance before high school, you’re deluding yourself. i failed nearly every subject up until 7th grade because I didn’t study at all- like every other kid. I decided I will pay attention in class, and that was enough to put me in the top 5 students in my school. I kept that up, and made the achiever’s list every damn year. I stood first in multiple subjects and continued to do so till 12th grade.
that’s when I suffered the most severe burn out of my entire life. I was put in a special education program in 11th- 12th grade. I coped up and was one of the top students well into first semester of 12 grade even tho it required a lot out of me. I failed to catch up with my studies and finally gave up on 12th grade. my grade plummeted down and I am currently one the lowest scorers.
burn outs are real. they are the real deal and can destroy everything you worked for your entire life. I will accept you were somehow capable of achieving great things and your exhaustion led you to lesser places if you show that you dealt with actual academic pressure in 10th, 11th and 12th grade because that’s when real changes come across.
everyone telling you, you are made for success, and you actually putting effort into yourself and realising that you truly are capable of success and not being able to achieve said success because of burn outs and exhaustion at critical points in your career is something I truly sympathize with, but please don’t simply it by saying you’re a “former gifted kid” cause you won a few medals in middle school.
if you scored well in 8th grade and couldn’t in 10th grade, you’re not special. you are like any other child and need to work hard to achieve things. even to burnt out people, if they are genuine, they don’t blame it on others, their parents, school or teachers because not everyone is made for carrying the expectations put on your shoulders because of the potential you show. expectations inevitably follow potential: be it of others around you, or your own.
why is wanting and needing things so humiliating like yes i do need a hug so what whatever die kys dont look at me i hope you blow up youre nothing leave me alone
Mad how many people on this site swear up & down that they're a burnt out former gifted kid child prodigy and yet don't even have like primary school level reading comprehension
mad truth- finally someone said it. if ur a “burnt out former gifted kid” please continue your life by indefinitely ignoring my existence. don’t come near me, don’t talk to me. pretend you didn’t see me. thank you, with your amazing talent
someone finally fucking wrote it.
