Dear DC Writers… It’s Time To Bring Back Bruce Wayne.

Dear DC Writers,

Please bring back Bruce Wayne.

Don’t get me wrong I love Batman.

Always have.

But Bruce Wayne was the character that pulled me into comics.

The Bruce Wayne that ran a victims advocacy charity and used his Yale LAW degree to fight for victims rights. The character that took on slum lords and big business loan sharks.

Who volunteered at soup kitchens. Or gathered evidence for the FBI regarding prescription drug price fixing by Gotham’s elite. The character that fought for libraries on every street corner in Gotham. The character that helped Leslie run and fund medical clinics.

I want to see Bruce being called the Justice League’s “mob lawyer” by Lex Luthor or a Steve Bannon character.

I want to Bruce Wayne go head to head with a Alex Jones character. Because Bruce Wayne knows what it’s like to lose a loved to violence and have people try to exploit that tragedy. I want him adding his voice to the growing of people that’s lost loved ones to gun violence.

I want to see him standing up to people in power targeting minorities for violence. Because fuck that. The Bruce Wayne I grew up reading HATES bullies.

I want to see him react with other characters like Hal Jordan knowing that there’s people in this country that want him dead because his mother was Jewish. I want him to do a family project with Damian and realize that his mother’s branch of the family tree was the only one that survived Shoah.

I love Batman.

But Bruce Wayne is more relevant than ever.

It’s time to bring him back.

adlerstrio - special interest

okay so in my head the alders trio (kageyama, ushijima & hoshiumi) are, in a way, neurodivergent. And it's sort of known that their main interest is volleyball but i do imagine them having other interest and this is the post for that, whynot

ushijima : music, not particularly playing music but he is a big fan of listening to music. Vinyl, CD, on online applications, he likes to listen to music, analyze it, understand why this song is a masterpiece and feel the message of the pieces. I like to imagine him listening to various music like The Smiths, La Femme, Destiny's Child, Kendrick Lamar, T.Rex and Selena.

kageyama : clothing, i feel like he started to get an interest in clothing after high school but he always was around the world of styling because of his older sister Miwa (she's a hairdresser and makeup artist, but i've always kinda saw her like a stylist tbh). I see him wearing stuff that are still simple, not to much, but he does do some layering, and mix different pattern with different colours. He like to look good because then he feels good. I want to see him with acessories, bags, nice shoes, necklace, bracelets, etc. No rings or only a few because he doesn't like the feeling of his fingers being "trapped".

hoshiumi : photography and videography, i do not know why, but i see him taking sort of a digital journal of his life and his carreer being a volleyball player. He have a few cameras, some that he brings everywhere, others that are special occassions. He really like to shoot on film, and he gives the pictures to friends, teammates, and family. I think that he would have a little camera bag, the one who are the leather, i think it was a birthday gift from himself. He's also the one who captures nearly all of the cursed moment from the trio, because he sets his camera in a corner to "document".

I hate that planned obsolescence is starting to reach fandoms. I hate that fandoms are starting to die after two, three years, I hate that whenever you stop getting content that means the fandom will die and be gone.

I need people to stop trying to brush off old interests as being 'cringe' as soon as you lose interest, or worse: make it seem like it's imoral to like something that they themselves held so dear before.

Fandoms are meant to last for years and years, the moment content stops being created is the moment we truly thrive because we keep creating the content ourselves the way we love it and expand on the things that are already there for us.

I don't care if you lost interest on something, it's fine and normal even, but stop trying to blame and make fun of people who still do love the fandom and the content and the things we can create.
