Less than a week after releasing his debut single “Pillowtalk,” Zayn Malik has reworked the soaring track into an acoustic number that’s way simpler but every bit as sexy. The new version — or as he’s dubbed it, the “living room session” — strips away the original’s heavy beat and highlights Zayn’s strong vocals against an acoustic guitar backing. It also trims the song down by about a minute by skipping the second verse entirely, but you won’t miss it too much once you hear Z’s hair-raising vocal runs on the final chorus.

I can’t believe that during TMH tour I never once truly thought about what it meant that there was a segment entirely dedicated to zayn and his voice. Several actually. It never seemed like an out of place thing within a boy band with no lead singer but it’s so fucking special! The other four boys made the audience clap for zayn and zayn alone which they never did for any of the others and told him how amazing he is. Not to mention the countless times they gave him appreciative looks or nods after certain bits in songs. Zayn was personally singled out by the other four every night and it was such a natural thing to develop too. I don’t know whether it was because they knew how important it was to him to have people tell him that he can sing or because they were so grateful to have him with them or simply because they’re a massively supportive bunch. Fact is that it was a unique and stand alone occasion simply for zayn and it never felt like it was something that by definition put him above the others or anything. Not at all. Strangely enough it was more something that put him in the limelight along with them. I’m utterly moved by the entire thing in retrospect. It’s things like that that made people really believe in their friendship, I think.

Honestly I don’t think this has been talked about enough. Like I know it’s been talked about but guys….read this like REALLY read this.

Think about all the reasons 1DHQ has said why Zayn left, just think about it….do you see how every single lie is debunked with this short quote and remark? Well maybe not all, but definitely debunks OT4 V.S Zayn and that Zayn doesn’t fuck with the music because he’s too cool for school….

You know what this quote says to me?? It says, “even though shit was fucked up I still rocked out with a smile on my face” meaning, he was fine, the boys were fine and biding their time until freedom rings.

And the, “And then he does smile, flashing a small, not an entirely un-boy-band-like grin” ………………….

Keep in mind that the official narrative wants you to believe that Zayn hated being in 1d. As we know, Zaynie isn't completely free yet, so of course he would say something along those lines in his first interview. But try to be observant and notice how his focus is ALWAYS on the music and the limits the band's image gave him in terms of artistic expression. You'll NEVER hear him saying "I didn't like being/working with the boys". So don't start with the "Zayn is ungrateful, Zayn talks bs about the band that brought him to success, Zayn hates the boys" bullshit, PLEASE. BE WOKE.

In the back of my mind I was wondering why things were going so smoothly for Zayn. In this fandom I’m always waiting for the other shoe to drop. I thought the new team had negotiated a smooth launch for him. No such luck. But if you needed confirmation that 1DHQ wants Zayn to fail, here you go.
