For people who don’t have time to bathe or access to fresh water, a South African college student has a solution: a shower gel users simply rub onto their skin. One small packet replaces one bath, and users never need any water. Ludwick Marishane’s inspiration was a lazy friend, but his invention will be a boon to people who live in areas where clean water is in short supply. 

The gel, called Drybath, kills germs, moisturizes the skin and exudes a pleasant, light smell, unlike hand sanitizers, according to Marishane’s website, Headboy Industries.  [Continue reading.]

"Muslims across the globe bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan and welcomes Eid al-Fitr, a three-day holiday (in some countries) that marks the end of the month of fasting. Family and friends spend time together to celebrate. Exchanging good wishes and sometimes gifts to one another. An important part of Eid Al-Fitr is performing acts of charity. Charity, often in money and food, are donated to help the needy. Eid al-Fitr is a time to celebrate the good things in life, give thanks for all the blessings you have ,and try to show a common goal of unity .Observant Muslims  start the day of festivities by praying a special Eid prayer often performed in a mosque or communal grounds. Usually people put on their best clothes often purchased just for the occasion. They visit loved ones, have a feast, and pay their respects to the deceased in cemeteries. Homes are decorated and filled with sweets. Children receive gifts, candy, or money from their elders. Meals during the festivities and traditions of celebration vary by country.”

REALLY FUN FACT for big cats cheetahs are fucking docile as shit

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs. So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying. So what’d they do? They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs! The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!
