“Explode?! And just how have you been entering them in the first place?”

———————Penny had already been scolded about wandering off approximately five times since the festival began. That didn’t change anything for the girl. She wandered into the pillar of light into the world with several of its clones. Trying to decide where she wanted to explore today. It wasn’t an easy decision with so many options.
It wasn’t long till another girl and her companion entered through the general hub of the Star Gate. It amazed Chise how many different worlds were spread through the general area, which led her to wonder how many more worlds left that she hadn’t traveled through. Elias had gone through one, leaving her and Ruth to themselves mostly to do what they pleased. Spotting the other girl not too far away and raised a brow. Another traveler ? Huh, she never got a chance to meet anyone while wandering toward the transitioning between worlds prior.
“Oh, hello!” She calls toward the other, legs moving straight toward the person in question. While Ruth was trailing behind her, allowing himself to be seen. She wasn’t sure if she was traveling or lost among most of the Star Gates. “....It’s rare to catch someone in between worlds....”

Mettaton was getting the hang of this world hopping now and had quickly learned not to be surprised by anything he came across when he stepped out of one portal into another.
And yet that didn’t stop him from being shocked when he appeared on a dirt road in the middle of the countryside.
Well it was still better than some of the places he’d been. A quick look around told him that at least he wasn’t in the middle of the wilderness. While, yes, there appeared to be a forest here, there was also some sort of establishment at the end of the road. Buildings, fields, walls. Not only that, but the place looked refined enough that perhaps this time he wouldn’t run into the kind of riff-raff he’d been (unfortunately) prone to stumbling across in these world-hops.
Mettaton dusted himself off (not that he really needed to) and gave the grounds another quick scan, this time looking for any signs of life actually nearby. No one on the road, no one in the fields. They must be inside then. He frowned as he looked down the length of the dirt path and glanced down at his boots, cringing immediately at the thought of them getting dusty from the walk.
Well it was a good thing he could transform then, wasn’t it?
The pieces of his body shifted and moved with ease, compacting into his simpler, rectangular form. As soon as everything locked into place, his jet sparked to life and he took off, flying just high enough off the road to avoid kicking up dust.
Jet propulsion made quick work of the path and he soon found himself in the front yard, just short of the house. He landed and shifted back quickly before anyone had a chance to notice (hopefully.) If there was one thing he’d noticed on his journeys, it was that a) a lot more people than he expected had very little experience with robots, and b) they seemed to react better to said robots when they looked… mostly like other people. (And, of course, there was the simple fact that he just liked this form more.)
Mettaton plucked a few wrinkles from his bodysuit as he looked around, getting a better idea of the grounds now that he was actually in them. He still couldn’t tell if anyone was here… His eyes drifted to the front door, lingering there as he contemplated his next move. Should he knock and see if anyone was home? Perhaps just… wander the property and get a better idea of where he was. Maybe someone would be in those fields across the wall.
The robot rested his hands on his hips, tapping his foot as his gaze began to drift between the door and the wall. Decisions, decisions…
“They really should have a door man at a place this size…”
Her study materials were left in favor of something far more interesting. Chise heard a strange, mechanical sound coming from outside her home. It didn’t take a Sleigh Beggy or a mage to figure this out. It sounded like the running engines from one of the trains that drove throughout the underground in the city of London.
The landlady, otherwise known as silky gestured toward the garden because Ruth had gone through that direction to investigate. Before she had a chance to follow after him, the Church Grimm padded up to her side. Apparently Ruth had witnessed something really strange – the only scent he picked up was the metallic kind along with gas and fire. It was definitely concerning, thus leads both of them to investigate the matter. With Elias out once again, it left his apprentice to look into this one. She leads Ruth toward the front door, deciding to directly confront the issue be best. She opens the door up, just enough for her to poke her head out of the door frame. The other person seemed a bit far away still, so she wasn’t able to figure out what the other looked like. She squints, while she tries to get a better look at the person.
She couldn’t really see the other’s face all too well – but the pink attire worn is definitely eye catching. The question was whether or not she should approach the other now that the door was somewhat open.
While she contemplates, Ruth gives her a nudge, causing for her to glance down toward him. He wiggles his way out onto the porch, deciding to appear to those not familiar with fae folk. Chise then wonders if the other noticed them at the door ? Because all her attention happened to be focused on Ruth trying to get outside once again. She sighs, again with protecting her from a possible threat once again.

@blessedbyfaee liked for a starter !
this one has seen their fair share of hardship. that much was certain. at the moment, however, it appeared that they had a different sort of problem.
“You appear to be lost. Do you require some assistance? ”
Stumbling through the Star Gate, and she was already at loss of where she was. without her teacher, She felt akin to a loss child once again. seeing the woman however, startles Chise, but she keeps a level tone when responding back. Ruth looms in her shadow, and it may seem that its slightly swaying; appearing a bit abnormal.
“That I am, and it would be appreciated. “ she blinks. “....can you inform me where i am, miss?”
❝ ⁷⁷⁴ ▬ As things were now back home, his special sight was already widely known by everyone, so there was no need to be secretive about it as before. (Exercising caution about misuse, however, was an entire matter.) Though now that he was frequently visiting different places, it was probably wiser to keep a tight lid on that information lest something bad were to happen.
“This will sound strange, but I was born with the ability to see the world in numbers.” But, he never was one to keep secrets. At least, not for long anyways. And anyways, he saw no harm in indulging her in the truth. If he just happened to land himself into a possible dog related axe murder mystery in the making…
… Well, he’ll cross that bridge if he gets there. “It’s kind of like looking at number stats in a video game or a bunch of coding everywhere all the time? There’s just this unusual mass of them around here, and bits and pieces of it look similar to dogs.”
Now that sounded interesting, it was much different from her own ability that allowed her to see different kinds of creatures, that may or not look humanoid. There is a twinkle of curiosity seen in her green eyes, as they widen slightly with this new information presented.
A smile graces her lips, while she looks toward him. “ Huh, that does sound strange, but it’s kind of like me without the numbers.” Her gaze drifts down to her side, where Ruth sits by her side. She returns her gaze toward their guest once again. “I’m surprised you’re able to see him, even though its with with coded numbers. He’s larger than most dogs, actually.”
She moves some of her red strands of hair behind her ear, “Were you born with it? This ability of yours? ”
‘neath chocolate tresses and fine porcelain resides an invaluable storehouse that pridefully contains innumerable riches. though its perceived size would undoubtedly be considered normal when compared to that of the one naturally belonging to the average individual, its spacious interior effortlessly defies the supposedly unshatterable limitations that have long since been established by imperishable forces. whenever foreign treasures are collected, extra room is automatically created in order to enable the beneficial gathering of undiscovered details to continue.
though idle particulars that have not proven themselves to be of substantial worth for quite some time are inevitably shelved and eventually become noticeably distorted by the massive heaps of dust that inconveniently prevent them from being recalled in their original state, they are still stored within. a voracious vortex that vociferously refuses to be smothered, the peculiar mind of a mortal embodiment of everlasting inquisitiveness is forever destined to be left temporarily satisfied each time it is properly acknowledged.
its unyielding thirst is truly insatiable, and no miraculous elixir can successfully remedy this. fortunately, this complex design is not to be perceived as a loathsome hindrance, but a wondrous blessing and for multiple reasons. one being its appreciable ability to lengthen enjoyable conversations that might otherwise conclude prematurely due to an incurable shortage of fascinating topics. even if concise explanations were to briskly be paired with her direct queries, the venturesome intellectual would be able to latch on to even more sources of intrigue with impeccable ease.
❝ Can the ability be LEARNED? Or is it something that a person must be born with? ❞
absolutely unmarred is the feminine chin that discreetly dips into an observable nod in response to the most generous offer.
❝ I would. I imagine you’ll be more comfortable if we talk while seated. I prefer TEA, but I don’t mean to impose. This is YOUR home, after all. If one is more convenient for you, I’ll be fine with that. ❞
though oceanic optics instinctively widen ever so slightly when attentive ears are made to absorb a memorable detail, a pale extremity is casually raised so that it can wave in a most dismissive manner. good manners are undeniably valuable and the simple demonstration of them is genuinely appreciated, but formalities are quickly deemed to be unnecessary.
❝ Elizabeth. Just call me Elizabeth. It’s nice to meet you as well, Chise. I wasn’t expecting to travel to London. I’ve read about it, but I never considered seeing it for myself. ❞
To Elizabeth’s query, Chise nods slowly. “In order to see them, you must be born with this ability.” It felt like a hindrance while growing up, but she slowly was able to appreciate her abilities a bit more now that she was in a place where she was accepted.
Another nod, and she turns toward the direction of the kitchen. She thumbs through her red locks, to keep them out of her eyes. “It’s fine and of course; do you prefer it black or with milk and sugar?”
When she has her answer, she was going to see if she could make it herself. Or if the ever busy landlady would mind pitching in to give an extra surprise for their guest. But the Silver lady was quite the shy type, so it would probably be better if she made it for them instead.
“Elizabeth?” She repeats the name aloud, which causes Chise to cringe. She hoped she didn’t butcher the other’s name too much with her Japanese accent, it was one of her fears when meeting with all of these new people.
“I didn’t expect to be living in London myself,” she confesses, it happened to be truth after all. “but it’s quite comfortable here.” The climate was definitely different from Japan, but there was something about it that was certainly nice.

[ ↺ } Being dropped into a forest wasn’t a particularly new thing for Morgan, in fact, it was one of the tamer things that could happen to him. But what happened after dropping in was him being curious as to why he could’ve sworn he heard something along the lines of light giggling. As if someone was watching him and mocking him. Rather than being worried about potentially being stalked, he was a bit more annoyed he was being made a fool out of.
“ Hey, whoever’s laughing at me you better quit it! Or else I’ll.. just have to laugh even harder at you! “
To the pesky faeries, there seemed to be a new visitor that fell from the abnormal gate that lead beyond this world, which immediately sparked their interest. They flutter through the trees, revealing themselves just enough for the boy to catch maybe a glance to maybe tempt him to follow deeper into the forest. However, much to their dismay – Chise happened to be traveling through and they were able to sense her immediately. They’ve hidden themselves for now, to avoid the confrontation with the Sleigh Beggy.
Hearing the stranger’s voice, Chise slows her gait, to catch a abnormal sight in these woods. A human? Here? Oh boy. She emerges from behind one of the trees, and frowns. Ruth lays hidden in her shadow for a time. She came a moment too late to catch fae causing mischief, she was at a loss of who it was at the moment.
“....laugh harder? you might make a fool out of yourself.” She glances toward the trees, seeing the faint sparkle of a trail. Seemed like someone happened to be playing around with him.
INSTANTLY, she turns her back at the sound of the a branching snapping close to her. She has company – ominous ones too. Yet, she does not fear what might linger among her surroundings. Perhaps, it is due to the uncanny similarities the forest shares with the forests she had been to before – regardless, her eyes draw towards where the sound comes from. However, instead of moving to approach the other she merely scoffs a little, pursing her lips once, her shoulders roll once as her back straightens in response. There is nothing she would be afraid of – so long as she had her magic, she would be invincible.
‘ It would appear to be that I have company, ’ she muses out loud as her verdant hues glances upwards, looking at the azure sky as well as the lush green leaves of the trees. Perhaps it is due to her potency with magic that allows her to become extra sensitive to magical entities. Regardless, the witch merely stands her ground whilst walking around, observing the plants that grow along the grass. ‘ Feeling shy are we? Well, no need for that – I already know you’re here. ’
Zelena wastes no time to taunt. After all, it is within her nature to do so. She could, sense the presence of others. Though, that does not shock her. It was, a familial property that she had stepped upon —- or so, that is what it appears to be.
Through her mishap, she was able to see the woman’s face. She doesn’t linger too long behind the tree, and she emerges from the thicket rather boldly. She looks up toward the taller woman, expressionless; there was nothing to be afraid of, so the sleigh beggy remained confident within herself. Ruth was only being an overbearing elder brother, once again, anyway– so she had nothing to fear.
“Not quite shy, miss. I didn’t mean to attract your attention, that soon.” Chise moves some of the strands of her red hair behind her ears. “...I wanted to gather my thoughts a lil’ while longer before approaching you. Looks like I messed up, huh?”
It isn’t long till a humongous black dog joins the apprentice’s side, with long wavy tail curling defensively around the teen. He chides her in a low tone, about her wandering off. It isn’t long till the fae’s attention directs toward the witch. Chise wonders briefly whether the stranger can see her familiar, if she possessed the sight to see the supernatural. If she did, she hoped Ruth’s appearance didn’t startle the other too much.
“Hey there – watch your step!”
Her familiar Ruth happened to be sunbathing in the garden, sleeping too, if she might add. Spotting the newcomer, she saw the other girl was just about to step on him. She wasn’t sure if the other had the sight to see the fae or not, so wanted to make sure. She just came downstairs from her room, to do more fieldwork in the garden when she spotted the stranger. It was weird how people just popped up where ever they liked.
She makes a brisk walk over toward the blonde, not sure if the other heard her because she was a bit far away.
@hogaraka
Her thoughts seemed to be lingering toward her family, once again. It wasn’t often, but she did think about them and remembers how she missed them all dearly. With Elias out of the house for something, it just left her, Silky and Ruth home.
“––Hey, Ruth?”
“....if you don’t mind, could you... could you tell me what Isabel was like?” She frowns a bit, “...I know you told me some things about her when we first met, but...would it be okay...to tell me more about her?”

A quaint scene greeted Akane when she stepped through the portal. No traffic or skyscrapers in sight, the grass beneath her feet felt real, too, and not the sort of holo illuminations that made up some areas of the metropolis she was raised in. Akane stepped forward, taking in the greenery when something flitted by, catching her eye. “Eh - Ehhh?” Before she could get a better look, the creature was gone. She trotted into the woods in pursuit, deeper and deeper until the trees swirled around her and she lost sense of direction.
“I thought I came this way…?”
She came on a small errand, coming to the forest surrounding their home. She needed to get something they didn’t have in the garden. It wasn’t like Chise minded, it was good to get out of the house once in awhile. With Elias out and about, looking into the new portal gossip, she busied herself with her studies. Someone needed medicine, so she trekked out with Ruth at her side.
While wandering through, however, she spots someone from afar. Now that was definitely concerning! No one had come this far before, unless .... oh dear! It hits her, and the realization makes her frown.
“Hello!” She calls, but the other is just too far away. Turning toward her familiar, there is a simple exchange between the two and she hopes ‘pon his back and they race after the other. Looked like some of the faeries were being mischievous with the humans once again.
Chise –– who looks like she’s riding on air(unless the woman possessed a strong sight to see fae and other folk), calls out toward the other once again. “Hey you! W.....wait up!”

Their neighbors were definitely a pesky bunch, even if they did help her out from time to time. Neighbors, or rather as they’re more known as – faeries typically liked to trick humans. This was the kind typically associated with common lore, and depicted differently in media. And like most of the fae community, they’d only appear before those who couldn’t see them by their own will.
What made things complicated, was that Chise knew this one in particular. Chise frowns, approaching the poor boy who the faerie was leading on– with empty promises. She watches as the faerie lead him deeper into the forest, which could be really bad. Before this got any worse, Chise raises her voice and calls out toward hoping he’d turn around.
“Oi...! Where do you think you’re goin’?”
@nagoyaka
I am putting this up here so that I faff with it any longer. Daaaaamn Chise looks tiiiiiinyyyy whoops.
