You're not wrong. I've been trying to speak up, I am a tiny indie creator. I was never the size of you or the bigs in the big league. To just start off... Harrie, Felix clutter cat, cow build, babytears, littlbowbub, pixel vibes.. those are the ones I've named in past posts.. talking about the same things you're talking about, mainly that they put 6 months or more on early access or never release them at all, people talking to and treating the community who use their CC, treating them like idiots and talking shit about them..there's other issues obviously, all the issues you've named..but I've tried and you can scroll through my profile and see that I've spoken up about this bullshit before.., and "we" just accept it. The horrible way we treat each other.. I can't even remember all the things I've made long rant posts about. And I don't understand why many people don't reblog or agree..maybe It's like they want to agree with me but they don't want to be seen agreeing with me? And it's disgusting. The minute I saw this I jumped on the chance to reply to you because it's wild..crazy behavior. And a lot of the creators that had treated the community better instead of taking advantage of them, like you, Saurus, Renorasims, Sondescent, Grimcookies, Ridgeport, Viiavi, AladdintheSimmer, Luumia...to name just a few, that enjoyed the community had integrity..they don't even make content anymore. Sondescent just came back after years... I've been making content since 2018. And every chance I get I shout out the people that I believe are actual phenomenal creators that abide by the 3-week policy written by EA, that constantly put out quality CC, that don't put their shit behind paywalls, and that's probably why there some of the biggest names - Austin AH00B, Joliebean, Serenity, Senate,Trillyke, Arethabee, Peacemaker, Sybollette, Rusty, Icecreamforbreakfast, Ravasheen, TwistedMexi, SurelySims, Madlen, Myshunosun, Powluna, Daylife..Newcomer Valiasims, IONA.., I have a whole slew of creators that are phenomenal and that do things properly ..I'm know I've missed so many. I'm not trying to name them all I'm just trying to name a few. (I never have a problem naming the creators that I feel are phenomenal and have ethics and treat the community in a positive manner, I name the people I believe act in that way because I want people to know that if they're discouraged by some of the creators they see out there, at least they know there's a few of them that have values and morals and are fun and still contribute so much to the community without taking advantage of it) I've even made adjusted CC of yours in the past. Especially when you kind of dropped off the face of the Earth ☺️. But I hope you come back... I know I've kind of just dropped a whole bomb and did it in a reblog to your original post. But it just sparks something in me because I've talked about these issues before and quite a few people seem to care but nothing ever happens.
Even another issue that I've been wanting to talk about but I don't have concrete evidence (I just see creators like Pixel vibes, cow build, daaengsims etc), not only are creators using AI to generate 3D meshes and then lazily creating textures with AI and putting those behind paywalls and copying other creators, they are taking objects that 3D designers create that are up on blender or other 3D websites, they take those and literally just put some slots or tags on them, and port them into the game. I can't stand that shit because 1) those items are always too high poly for the game, and then our games are so bogged down by people thinking they need to have the most high poly, HQ item, for screenshots most of the time, and then they don't realize the games are not meant to handle such high poly items. And that's because a lot of them aren't even creators they don't know what they're doing..that they're just stealing 3D content, or from websites and porting it into the game because they think it's quick cash in easy. I don't have evidence for this because it's more of a speculation, but the fact that all these items like the ones pixel makes and a few others, they're so high poly and so compatible with the HQ mod, that leaves me to think that these were not specifically made for low poly games like The Sims 4. They were just stolen off these websites or people buy them off these blender websites and use them and claim they created it and put it behind paywalls. It's such a niche issue, but I feel like it's just growing and getting more out of hand. 2) with the creation of AI, it's easier now than ever to create bullshit preview photos and meshes and make everything with AI and put it out by volume, and since they can put stuff out by volume, they can make decent money, since they're not doing any of the real work they can constantly have stuff to put out to their audience, and the only way you get constant engagement and followers and subscribers to your patreon is if you are consistent. That's how people get successful on YouTube as well. You will always be rewarded for consistency, and it's not even the consistency and quality of items that will get you rewarded. It's the consistency of your upload schedule. The more content you put out, the more people will see it.. It's a never-ending cycle. And especially people who aren't content creators, they just see cute high quality stuff they see cute items to put in their game to make them look like their favorite anime or to make their favorite fantasy world, not realizing all of it is made with AI, all of it is low quality textures and diffuse maps and probably isn't good for your games since it's not optimized for the Sims 4. And they don't care and they don't understand either. They say ooh cute, and they click and buy it. I'm not saying all people but I'm saying this is what's happening in general.
