Something I never thought about before but am now. SPOILERS, I guess.
Bradley 100% knew that Tucker used a human to make the talking chimera the first time around. He'd've had to. He already knew what it took to make a chimera that could speak and comprehend human language. What Tucker did was just a step below human transmutation.
I wonder if Tucker was ever a true candidate due to the lengths he was willing to go, or if he just wasn't skilled enough to be taken seriously.
I really like to imagine Ymir and Eren collaboratively building his final titan body together like they're having fun at the beach. Give this guy another sister; he deserves it.
And he's technically not a war criminal. I mean, you can't be a war criminal if there's no concept of war crimes, right?
(Meanwhile, Zeke's just buried in sand, having a mild crisis.)
If the plot of AoT is a huge game of chess, then Eren is the WORST person to play it.
Like, I love the guy, but honestly, how did we expect things to go when you take the guy with anger issues that rival those of Edward Elric and Bakugou Katsuki and give him almost Godlike abilities?
It's also Eren JAEGER not whatever bs Yeager is supposed to be and this is a hill I will die on—
Found this on Pinterest and I can't—
Part of what makes the AoT ending so good, imo, is that it *isn't* really happy. It *isn't* really satisfying. But it is what it is, and the characters have to make do with it.
And honestly, isn't that kinda what life is? Life isn't necessarily happy. It's not satisfying. But we have to make do with our lot.
There's also the fact that there's so much room to wonder if things could've gone differently. Eren doesn't seem to think so, but he's a self-admitted "garden variety idiot". He openly admits that he's probably the wrong person to have all the power that he has, and what he did is the only option he could figure out to make things work — to the point he believes it's all determined. A slave to freedom.
And in the end, the cycle continues, as it always will. History may not repeat, but it certainly rhymes, and humans will make the same mistakes over, and over, and over again until the sun explodes and ends all our misery.
It's been thirteen years, and I maintain that the Evil (or at least Manipulative) Troll Frozen theory is way better than what Disney ended up doing in Frozen 2.
They could've had depth! Conversations about responsibility and fault and guilt and if the ends justify the means. Cool stuff!
I guess Frozen 2 is alright — idk, never watched it cause it looked boring, but the songs are okay at least.
Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox.
Look at thia amazing commission by the wonderful and talented @caesurables for chapter 7 of Grave Conversations.
He put his hand in his chest pocket. “The good thing is I have some pictures, buddy. Prepare to be Hughesed. That’s what we used to call it when you would show us pictures of Gracia and Elicia.” He pulled out a handful of pictures. “Ta-dah! I guess I am turning into you. Did you ever think you would see the day?”
He smirked and held it out as if Hughes could really see it. “I came home from work to find Riza dozing on the couch with Maes sleeping against her chest. I just had to take a picture.”
"And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken, all the multitude, with one accord, did go forth with their sick and their afflicted, and their lame, and with their blind, and with their dumb, and with all them that were afflicted in any manner; and he did heal them every one as they were brought forth unto him.
"And they did all, both they who had been healed and they who were whole, bow down at his feet, and did worship him; and as many as could come for the multitude did kiss his feet, insomuch that they did bathe his feet with their tears.
"And it came to pass that he commanded that their little children should be brought.
"So they brought their little children and set them down upon the ground round about him, and Jesus stood in the midst; and the multitude gave way till they had all been brought unto him." 3 Nephi 17:9-12
"But behold, it came to pass they had many sons, who had not entered into a covenant that they would not take their weapons of war to defend themselves against their enemies; therefore they did assemble themselves together at this time, as many as were able to take up arms, and they called themselves Nephites.
"And they entered into a covenant to fight for the liberty of the Nephites, yea, to protect the land unto the laying down of their lives; yea, even they covenanted that they never would give up their liberty, but they would fight in all cases to protect the Nephites and themselves from bondage.
"Now behold, there were two thousand of those young men, who entered into this covenant and took their weapons of war to defend their country.
"And now behold, as they never had hitherto been a disadvantage to the Nephites, they became now at this period of time also a great support; for they took their weapons of war, and they would that Helaman should be their leader.
"And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all—they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted.
"Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him.
"And now it came to pass that Helaman did march at the head of his two thousand stripling soldiers, to the support of the people in the borders of the land on the south by the west sea." — Alma 53:16-22
"And it came to pass that before the dawn of the morning, behold, the Lamanites were pursuing us. Now we were not sufficiently strong to contend with them; yea, I would not suffer that my little sons should fall into their hands; therefore we did continue our march, and we took our march into the wilderness.
"Now they durst not turn to the right nor to the left lest they should be surrounded; neither would I turn to the right nor to the left lest they should overtake me, and we could not stand against them, but be slain, and they would make their escape; and thus we did flee all that day into the wilderness, even until it was dark.
"And it came to pass that again, when the light of the morning came we saw the Lamanites upon us, and we did flee before them.
"But it came to pass that they did not pursue us far before they halted; and it was in the morning of the third day of the seventh month.
"And now, whether they were overtaken by Antipus we knew not, but I said unto my men: Behold, we know not but they have halted for the purpose that we should come against them, that they might catch us in their snare;
"Therefore what say ye, my sons, will ye go against them to battle?
"And now I say unto you, my beloved brother Moroni, that never had I seen so great courage, nay, not amongst all the Nephites.
"For as I had ever called them my sons (for they were all of them very young) even so they said unto me: Father, behold our God is with us, and he will not suffer that we should fall; then let us go forth; we would not slay our brethren if they would let us alone; therefore let us go, lest they should overpower the army of Antipus.
"Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
"And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.
"And it came to pass that I did return with my two thousand against these Lamanites who had pursued us. And now behold, the armies of Antipus had overtaken them, and a terrible battle had commenced.
"The army of Antipus being weary, because of their long march in so short a space of time, were about to fall into the hands of the Lamanites; and had I not returned with my two thousand they would have obtained their purpose.
"For Antipus had fallen by the sword, and many of his leaders, because of their weariness, which was occasioned by the speed of their march—therefore the men of Antipus, being confused because of the fall of their leaders, began to give way before the Lamanites.
"And it came to pass that the Lamanites took courage, and began to pursue them; and thus were the Lamanites pursuing them with great vigor when Helaman came upon their rear with his two thousand, and began to slay them exceedingly, insomuch that the whole army of the Lamanites halted and turned upon Helaman.
"Now when the people of Antipus saw that the Lamanites had turned them about, they gathered together their men and came again upon the rear of the Lamanites.
"And now it came to pass that we, the people of Nephi, the people of Antipus, and I with my two thousand, did surround the Lamanites, and did slay them; yea, insomuch that they were compelled to deliver up their weapons of war and also themselves as prisoners of war.
"And now it came to pass that when they had surrendered themselves up unto us, behold, I numbered those young men who had fought with me, fearing lest there were many of them slain.
"But behold, to my great joy, there had not one soul of them fallen to the earth; yea, and they had fought as if with the strength of God; yea, never were men known to have fought with such miraculous strength; and with such mighty power did they fall upon the Lamanites, that they did frighten them; and for this cause did the Lamanites deliver themselves up as prisoners of war." — Alma 56:39-56
This was always one of my favorite songs. A thousand years of history, lost to the world for fourteen hundred years. And there are so many more stories we don't even know.
It took two lifetimes for Mormon and Moroni to compile and protect the plates. I can spend ten minutes to read it.
Hey, could I request some prayers for the family of Elder W Mark Bassett?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released the following statement today on the passing of Elder W. Mark Bassett:
<p
This is ridiculously funny.
Actual footage from inside my skull:
I hesitated to start reading Frieren because of the hiatuses — I usually only read finished manga cause I don't want to get invested in something that doesn't have an ending — but I finally decided to just do it. Made me depressed in 60 pages — broke FMA's record, but not SNK's.
Anyway, me likey.

Hot take:
I don't think Edward and Winry have romantic chemistry. Maybe I just need to reread the manga, but I just don't see it. (Bopping someone with a wrench is something you'd do to a sibling, not a love interest. Though you technically shouldn't do it to anyone. Tbf to Winry, she does it a lot less after Hughes' death, when she first really notices Ed is kinda cute.)
Honestly? I think Winry and Al have more romantic chemistry.
(Again, though, maybe I just have to reread the thing. Oooooh, but I'm distracted, and I have so many things on my To Read list - SpyxFamily and Yomi no Tsugai, for example.)
That's not to say I hate EdWin, of course. I just don't see it myself. They're still cute, regardless.
