The funniest thing about the Jaegerists, imo, is that Eren isn't even really one of them. He thinks they're extreme and angry.

If even Eren Jaeger thinks you need to calm down, then maybe you should self reflect a little.

Sometimes I think about how Levi focused all his energy to killing Zeke at Shiganshina, to the point he completely exhausted himself and Mikasa was able to pin him. Though I doubt the fact she sneak attacked him helped. Why we he have expected an attack from an ally, a friend?

Those are the only reasons I can think of why she overpowered him, anyway. I'm pretty sure he'd still beat her in a normal fight even after Erwin's death.

Anyway, he did all that, and for what? For basically nothing.

I don't think we give Erwin enough credit for 1. learning how to use 3DMG with one arm (which would require retraining his body to shift in different ways for balance and to best position his body and weight), and 2. CUTTING THE ARMORED TITAN'S FINGER OFF WITH ONE ARM! Immediately after losing that arm, too.

Now, we either have to assume that there are spaces between the plates on the fingers, or the armor there is softer and more flexible, as the fingers wouldn't be moveable otherwise. So Erwin either managed to aim right between the plates, which is impressive enough as is, or he just powered through whatever the shell is made of, which is incredible for a guy using his non-dominant hand.

I love this guy, man.

(I also had the realization that, since the names are German/French, it would be said ɛʁvɪn.)

I do kinda wish that it was Levi who killed Eren. It's not like he didn't love Eren — platonic and familial love is no less strong and all-encompassing as romantic love.

Not to mention that he made a promise years ago that he would end the threat if Eren turned against humanity. That's Chekov's gun.

Plus, he was already robbed of a final conversation with Eren because Eren's a coward who can't bear to face his incredibly disappointed dad*. At least let him get some closure this way.

* This is only head canon, but I think that's definitely part of the reason for it.

What are the chances that, after everything, Levi never returned to Paradis? I mean, the Jaegerists essentially ended up as the rulers in the end. As one of the people who stopped the Rumbling, Levi would be an enemy. (He already was their enemy before the Rumbling even began.)

He never has a chance to find Hange's charred, broken body, to give her the respectful send off she deserve, forced to leave her at the mercy of the Jaegerists who would probably do little more than spit in her general direction.

He never has the chance to meet his little granddaughter, Historia's kid, or any other grandbabies that may follow. The queen is as good as his child, after all. Certainly more his than Rod's.

He never has the chance to visit Eren. The last image of his stupid, idiot, suicidal boy that he'll ever see is that of Mikasa cradling his severed head, a look of resignation frozen on those features. His last sight of Eren will look no different from the nameless bodies that choked the gutters of the Underground.

And yet, he'll keep moving forward because that's all he knows to do.

My brain went on the weirdest tangent the other day, and I realized that Kimblee would absolutely despise Eren Jaeger.

(ITS JAEGER NOT YEAGER! I WILL CAUSE A RUMBLING ON THIS HILL!)

I mean, Kimblee really has one consistent standard:

"Look straight at the people you kill; don't take your eyes off them for a second. And don't ever forget them because they won't forget you."

And whaddya see Eren doing? Not looking at them. Like, sure, maybe he couldn't see EVERYONE he's stepping on, but he owes the people he COULD see at least the decency of not acting like a toddler. "If I don't see it, it's not happening." C'mon, man. Riza Hawkeye was your age at Ishval.
