sometimes trying to be more social and talk to people u know are already in an established friend group feels like

the more i think about how Underverse treats trans characters, the more it makes me angry.

making Mad Mew Mew nonbinary instead of her canon identity as a trans woman is making her CIS. her ghost was born nonbinary, and the whole allegory is that she posesses the mew mew doll and starts identifying as a woman (much like Mettaton's trans man allegory). stripping that away and making Mew her assigned gender (or lack thereof) at birth is MAKING HER CIS.

so, Frisk and Chara are cis males instead of nonbinary. Mettaton never was a ghost before inhabiting the robot body, so he's also cis and never stated to be otherwise.

wow! thank you, Jakei, for erasing every canon trans identity that was originally in Undertale! the representation was ALREADY there. would it really have been so hard to keep it? the fandom is already used to these characters being trans, because it's canon in Undertale. the backlash wouldn't have been that bad (excluding the trans cross post), especially since Jakei is Spanish, one of the top LGBTQ+ progressive countries. are you... kidding me??

you can make the characters in Underverse bi, gay, or lesbian all you want, but that doesn't make up for stripping these other characters of their canon trans identities and making them cis.

Slander about Jakeis cross is transcoded posts finally

She only cares about likes and dislikes, people were hyping up the cross is transcoded thing so she showed it off once or twice for those in favour of it - but it wasn’t her intention, so those who didn’t like it complained about it and Jakei just deleted them all in favour of those people

She doesn’t actually care about representation she only likes to appease to people unfortunately

unfortunately, jakei's stance on trans people is kinda obvious. she erased frisk and chara's original nonbinary identities, took away mettaton's transness by removing the ghost backstory, and i don't even know if mew mew is shown much (or at all) in x-tale or underverse.

the fact that she was so quick to delete the cross trans-coded posts is really disheartening. it meant a lot to trans people out there (me included) to be recognized and shown support from a character a lot of trans people can easily see themselves in. and when put under some pressure from transphobes, jakei folded. it's pretty fucked up to show that support, then immediately take it back and proceed to say nothing else about it.
