Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. I’m talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.

I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.

i wanted to participate in Fiddleford Friday so here's this piece i just cant get looking the way i want but it's in the best state ive gotten it in so far. under cut alts and yap!

i wanted to do a monochrome palette but i also wanted it dark and spooky and i just think im not pulling off these concepts in tandem that well. i like the concept tho the image has been in my mind for some time now.

im just always kinda thinkin ab the horror of being mcgucket cir. 1982. bill is hardly subtle in all record we have of him possessing ford, and that one shot in The Last Mabelcorn of fidds looking askance at ford in the middle of his spooky meditation surrounded by candles and bill tapestries and a rug and prisms. oog. it gets my brain goin. bill just fully possesses him for a brief moment and nothing comes of it. does this happen frequently enough? is it possible it did and mcgucket never once noticed? i find it unlikely. im a rly big fan of the concept of this religious and superstitious tennessee man having to go thru his best friend and lab partner being causally possessed sometimes. makes "where are these ideas comin from!? who are you working with??" hit harder for me. i think he Knows a bit. i think he's a bit of a gothic horror protagonist who ends the tale by running away and hiding. so that's basically the essence i wanted to capture here. again i keep making it weird and bad but this is like my third pass and i like the composition a lot so im ignoring my weird colors/rendering. im trying to improve in that lately im trying to get better i dont color that often so im growing and learning. anywho reblog if ur a real fiddler or whatever i love u fiddleford hadron mcgucket<33333

i found the 2nd alt to be too non-committal, i wanted more contrast or for it to be spookily subtle. and i liked the overbearing high-contrast version better than the spooky subtle version, tho i appreciate the concept behind the subtle one in its own way. i wanted to bring a true black out of just the back wall there, even out the dispersion of the values a bit. idk tho im still being indecisive maybe i do like the second alternate more...... eh never make me decide anything ever. happy fiddleford friday!!!
