I understand janka as tsundere for tsundere, except Zanka is a level 1 beginner tsundere ("it’s not like if I liked you BAKA !") while Jabber is a level 36 advanced tsundere ("I looooooove you so much ! /sarcasm /irony /joking" -> it’s a way of deflecting any real feeling he could feel -> if it gets too real he will deflect even more -> it’s really hard to know what he truly feels and he could be deeply in love and still have everyone believe he is just cruelly making fun of and taunting his love interest)

Aww, thank you. I will certainly try, although I am learning that another barrier is that I simply don't like shutting up, LOL.

I find that when it comes to writing, I tend to indulge in preamble and build up. I find it very hard to just go straight into a scene because I always get caught in building it outwards. I like there to be something to chew on before the main event.

The day I actually write a drabble, bring out the confetti cannons.

I’m still interested in your writing. Are you still interested into Gachiakuta or are you moving away from it?

If not, what’s your view on Jabbers relationship with the other raiders. Like how Zodlyl and him parallel Enjins and Zankas relationship but worse. Or how Cithoni clearly cares about him to an extent but it feels like part of that is Zodlyl going, make sure this kid doesn’t kill himself or we’re going to need to find some other stab happy maniac.

Momoa and him also seem friendly which I head cannon stems from their shared love of rage baiting(psychological warfare.)

Hi! Great questions!

First things first: Yes, I am still interested! I actually posted a Janka fic a couple days ago, LOL.

Secondly, Jabber's relationships to the other Raiders is a deeply fascinating topic to me. I actually have a post in my drafts discussing the foil nature of Jabber down to his mentor, which of course, considers the nature of his relationship with Zodyl.

It's such an interesting topic to me because one: Jabber and Zodyl's relationship is inherently fucked up, and also in some way sexual. Regardless of Zodyl's actual intentions, "rewarding" Jabber by harming him - something that we know is a sexual gratifying practice for him -automatically locks them into a situation where Zodyl is exercising his power (literally) over Jabber.

And two: Jabber is canonically only 18 (19, if you consider his birthday), and yet is ingratiated with the Raiders enough to be one of the TOP performers. He's great at his job, sure, but there's obvious flaws in his conduct (prone to flights of fancy, experiments with potentially performance hindering substances for fun). We never get so much as a mention to his family and while the others Raiders have varying levels of warmth in their regard for him, there's not the "found family" vibe that often gets tacked onto the Cleaners' dynamic. Not to mention Jabber's apparently long history of running around fighting people for kicks.

So, let's add it together: very young + no support system (no one to pull him back from the ledge) + an obsession with strong people + a highly specialized, power vital instrument = the perfect person to take advantage of if you are, say, the leader of a huge crime organization? This is all to say that Jabber has an UNHEALTHY attachment to Zodyl in a toxic relationship in which sexuality is used as currency in exchange for his power at best. At worse? Much, much more dire implications.

Does that make sense? I'm abbrieviating my thoughts because this reply is WAY too long already.

Regarding the other Raiders, I have also noticed how there is something there! The subtle ways they regard each other leave lots of room for development.

Cthoni, for one, seems very used to Jabber's antics and dispositions. Like you said, some of it seems purely business minded, but it also strikes me as the sort of dismissiveness that you build when you've known someone for a long time, which makes me think that Cthoni has been somewhere in Jabber's vicinity for a while. Since she's Zodyl's right-hand, she may have recruited him, which could inform keeping an eye on him since his conduct is a reflection of her ability to discern skill. Or she could also just care about him, but not in a big sister way that many position her. More so in the way that you attune yourself to a person you see across a room consistently: observing, wondering, but not involving yourself unless necessary.

Momoa gives me potential friend vibes. Not quite there yet, but there's an opportunity for their differing personalities to mesh if circumstances are juuuuuust right. When Jabber is calm, he's very laid back and I think that would work really well with Momoa's generally unbothered nature. They're both very smart and know how to get under people's skin, which is a honed skill. I look forward to seeing it go somewhere!

I have become a person 5 year old me (and even 12 year old me) would think is cool. It's been really hard to love myself lately but I like to remind myself that I can easily pick up any creative field with enough time and effort. Woah. Blinked and I haven't posted a fic in two months 😶‍🌫️

This is partially due to the ugly lovechild that being employed and my procrastination have welcomed into the world. However, equally responsible is my hesitation to post anything short.

I want to write! And I certainly do, but I feel like unless it's a fully fleshed out idea that's at least 5k, then it's not worth pursuing?

Like, I have ideas for drabbles, but then I get cold feet about writing them because if it's a short work, I feel like every word needs to hit the mark or it's a flop. I don't know if I should give it a try or not. I'm half convinced no one's even interested in my work anymore anyway 💀
