Currently happily married to crab Annon (might be one person might be two, dosen´t matter I love them very much!) I´m from Europe, that´s all you´re ever getting out of me!!!︱from scandinavia︱student︱header by @peasant-player
~I feel like a deer in the headlight of depression and mental illnesses~ You can use my art as an icon/header if you give me credit -
I'm always open to talk about something from tolkien or an AU
(Under the cut are some of my stories and what they're about)
Right now I'm working on some big stories
1. Naulë, Fourth age Wolf!Sauron and Celebrimbor:
Celebrimbor finds a red wolf that acts like a tamed dog towards him, but a wild warg towards everyone else, and won´t hear any criticism despite his friends' concerns, also did Elrond mention the glowing eyes of the creature?
2. Rehtië, Maedhros; Post-Rescue from Thangorodrim:
Nelyafinwe has been rescued, but he is not yet free, and Findecáno does not seem to understand-
you were almost turned into a vampire, but before you could be fully turned, the vampire was staked. This left you with a vampire weakness, while still being human.
Spin the wheel to find out your weakness!
How much does this effect you?
Nothing changes
It's inconvenient but I can deal with jty
It will be hard to adjust but I'll figure it out
I don't know if I'll be able to live like this
Maybe I can find another vampire to finish the turning?
I might just kill myself
Results/other
Remaining time: 5 days 13 hours
thanks @theemmjay for submitting this poll idea!! Seriously it's such a cool concept I love it so much
netflix is making a hockey show called "the sticks" that is based on a very real tragedy that occured in canada in 2018.
the show follows a minnesota high school team after their bus crashes and coming back to hockey afterwards.
in 2018, the humboldt broncos' (a junior A team made up of 18-22 year olds) bus was hit by a tractor trailer on a highway intersection. 16 people (10 players, 2 coaches, and 4 team staff members) were killed, along with 13 other players severely injured.
the memory of the humboldt broncos crash is an incredibly sensitive subject carrying a lot of trauma to both the survivors, their families, and deceased's families. the trajectory of hockey in canada was changed significantly after this tragedy.
despite this, netflix has decided to make a show using the death of young hockey players for profit. they did not consult the survivors, nor the deceased's families. they stole a canadian story for a feel-good cash grab.
i understand wanting to watch shows about hockey, but this is not the show to watch. do not give it attention, as the humboldt broncos' memories deserve to be theirs and theirs alone to share.
ladies the dobbys grave thing is fake news that the beeb fell for 😭 its made up by a podcast guy.. rowling is evil and people gotta let those books go but don't get mad and psych yourself out over straight up nothing
This was so fun to do. I have only made a lineup once before, and I like how I can see my improvement here, as well as the evolution of my style for them.

Maedhros: I talk a lot about Maedhros and Himring´s fashion here - black is an expensive colour to produce, which is why I think it is sought after, with white, in Himring, since it is dark most year round, most residents pick one other colour that stands out, Maedhros here choosing the colour of his house, since Himring is hostile for a lot of plants, botanical embroidery and jewelry are a status symbol. The clothes are shorter than other Noldor clothes to better move through snow.
Maglor: Maglor, as a bard, can wear longer, more impractical clothes in his day-to-day. Clothes from The Gap have a less dramatic shape and usually lighter colours than clothes for Himring, as well as a division between colours, thus, Maglor wears red, grey blue, and yellow.
Celegorm: As a hunter of Himlad, Celegorm doesn´t really dress up in Noldor court robes, and instead ends up with something between the Sindar and the Hunt of Oromë. He wears grey clothes in different shades with plant motifs on them to better blend in, and the clothes is cut so as not to restrict his movement on foot or horse.
Caranthir: I HC Caranthir as the richest of the brothers, which is also why he has so much jewelry, and so many textile techniques in his clothes - his clothes are meant to look heavy, and mirror Thargelion's wooden climate, with the bear fur, and dark colours.
Curufin: Curufin´s clothes are very clothes to Nargothrond style, but a bit even in the cut, with more layers visible. He is wearing a lot of contrasting colours in his clothes, as well as jewelry that is both silver and gold, to stand out.
Amras: I like to think the Ambarussa was spending a lot of time hunting in their youth in Valinor, but when coming to Beleriand, only Amras kept on exploring the wild and made friends with many of the Avari, which is what his outfit is inspired by, a mix of Avari clothes and Noldor.
Amrod: I go with the crispy Amrod version here, and after the insident I HC he had a lot of chronic pain so he became more of a scholar, which is why he can wear so long robes, also to make up for his look I like to think he did a lot out of his clothes, making sure it was the finest, as well as his jewelry.
A Book of Creatures by @a-book-of-creatures doesn't update these days but is another thing along these lines, really huge, fully illustrated all by the author and cites all sources
a feel like the new generation of fanfic readers NEED to understand that clicking on a fic (interaction) does nothing. ao3 has no algorithm. your private discord discussions of fic do not reach the authors. if you do not actively engage with writers they will stop posting. this isn’t social media this is community.
People in the comments going "b-bUt hiTs" as if that's engagement! Even a kudos matters more than just clicking on a fic and leaving without doing anything. Not commenting or even leaving a kudos if you like a fic just means you didn't like it! (Or were too lazy to click a like button...)
Some people do sort by the amount of hits (or comments....iirc sorting by kudos is also an option?), but that's also bad because your refusal to read fics that aren't already popular means most fics will never become popular no matter how good they are...
As if Joanne couldn't get any shittier, she misgendered and insulted a woman who called for support, all because the woman had PCOS/PMOS and "didn't sound feminine enough."
Fuck her.
Your shitty children's series isn't more important than people's lives.
