Someone to add to the blocklist-
https://www.tumblr.com/achilles--heals
either a terf troll or just a shitty guy. I’d add photos if I could. At least one of the people he follows is an open radfem.
Yeah, I've been suspicious of this user for a while since I saw one of their reblogs, decided to give them the benefit of the doubt buuuuutttttt at this point? No, I don't think I should.
While I too am unsure where exactly this guy falls along the spectrum...
...These four blogs that they (unsure of what their pronouns are due to them being bigender and not sharing them in their bio 🤷) follow are all radical feminists, with only @/materialistfeminism seeming to be a TIRF, as opposed to the other three, as far as I can tell, being TERFs:
I'll also note another blog they follow (Urgh cannot remember the name but it's like sexistimagery or something {I don't wanna go back there LOL}) could potentially be transphobic? They have reblogged things in support of transmasculine people, however nothing about transfeminine people from what I saw, that and them referring to trans women as something along the lines of "playing Barbie",,, ehh you can decide whether to trust them or not. I personally don't.
This is a reblog on one of @/kmftm's posts in which they openly use a TERF dog whistle specifically to refer to transfeminine people ("transwomen"). Instead of reacting kindly to kmftm's rather nice (nicer than I would be lmfao) explanation on why not to say a literal dogwhistle, well, you see the reply. Honestly this user is looking more and more like a TERF's sockpuppet blog by the second.
This is actually the reblog I was referring to at the start of the post. Once again saying "transwomen" — I thought it was just a typo, Aiden? — yet separating "trans men". I saw other reblogs on this post sharing a similar sentiment — including by t-boycock (iirc that's his user) which was a little surprising — but I personally oppose the notion that transfeminism is a TIRF dogwhistle. Do not let people poison a good thing! Do not let them take transfeminism away from trans people! Besides going " "trans""feminism" " is certainly a bold choice.
The fact that Aiden immediately jumps to label people who advocate for transfeminism (directing it at transfeminine folk) as "almost always weird about animals or kids" is just plain TERF rhetoric. Plain and simple. Even if Aiden means well, they're spouting TERF rhetoric and that cannot go unaddressed. And again, saying "transwomen" without the space. Ugly use of language in my opinion.
This quote "just call yourself a straightup feminist", while seemingly innocent as a sentence, I personally think is signalling something. "A real feminist isn't a transfeminist", sort of thing. It's a slippery slope in which one moment someone is prioritising people who only talk about Feminism — as opposed to transfeminism or intersectional feminism — to eventually, without even realising it, being surrounded by people who are at the very least underhandedly incredibly transmisogynistic (and/or transphobic as a whole) and at worst actual TERFs/TIRFs. It's called a pipeline for a reason, it starts off subtle and reasonable for a reason.
(Also, I quite like @anti-transmisogyny-hub {hope you don't mind the @ Pink} if you want a transfeminist non-transmasculine-hating blog, she's tfem focused but the stuff mew posts are good and she's made it clear that mew doesn't support the rampant exorsexism, anti-transmasculinity and intersexism that's commonly found within what are supposed to be transfeminist tfem-focused spaces. Again, don't let sour folks spoil such important activism such as transfeminism!)
Even with just these screenshots I would encourage people to block them, however I really like to be thorough about these things so ...
The demonisation of kink!! Hmm I wonder which ideology subscribes to an anti-kink — especially kink that is heavily tied to transfemininity — mindset 🤨🫣. This may be just a me thing, but I don't trust people on instinct who say things like "pornbrain" and "gooner". Only sounds like 4chan talk to me. While I personally dislike participating in kink in any capacity, speaking about forcefem — something that is genuinely euphoric and a life-line for some individuals — like this is genuinely abhorrent. Iirc (I've had to rewrite this post about four times because Tumblr kept glitching :') so I am speaking from memory here) even @/isuggestforce-masc popped in to say "hey this is fucked up of you to say and also weird". Which like. Good. It is weird to say this. The fact that this post got 23 likes is quite honestly disgusting. You do not need to demonise your sisters — hell, your brothers too considering there are quite a few trans men/mascs into forcefem! — like this. It's so incredibly unnecessary and cruel, and it only adds to a larger divide between trans communities.
Now, again this may just be a me thing, and I'm not really willing to have an in-depth discussion about the access transfeminine people may or may not have pre-transition and/or pre-egg crack to male privilege right now — because quite honestly it is not the point of this post — however I think it's incredibly suspicious of Aiden to say this, specifically in the context of the other posts I've shared here. With everything I've gathered, honestly I think this is just another instance of Aiden signalling at least partial alignment with radical feminism.
Now, their likes are public but I didn't go through those because... well quite frankly I'm just not that bothered to; just a glance at these posts should be enough of a clue as to what kind of person Aiden is. Whether they are simply a transmisogynistic asshole (aware of this or not) or an actual TERF is, I suppose, up to you to decide.
