Puppy Affirmations

Every time I feel weak and useless and broken and ruined and abnormal and a failure because I’m chronically ill/disabled/crippled/mentally ill/depressed/anxious/trans/non-binary/queer/fatigued/overweight/”not pretty enough”/”too old” or whatever… 

I try to remember to see myself NOT as a failed adult human, but as a puppy who’s doing their best. And I give myself the compassion I would give a puppy. I wouldn’t hate a puppy for needing a nap or being unable to carry two bags of groceries home. I wouldn’t force a puppy to write perfectly beautiful calligraphy or try to teach it to paint photorealistic oil paintings. 

Puppies need love and support!

Playing pokemon today and had a nice little picnic and I left it running for 5 minutes when I went to pee, and I came back to 6 fucking eggs in my basket. This is my party.

They are all male except my goddamn houndoom. I have 6 houndour eggs from when I looked away for a couple of minutes, and as someone with no idea about egg groups I have no idea who the father is.

Update on this. Im using my previous pokemon breeding escapades to investigate. For a while, I had largely the same party except for the bisharp which i had a ditto in its place. Because i wanted to see who the ditto would breed with (lol). So after this excursion i decided ok its time to hatch these eggs ive had sitting from that time bc i have to know who fucks most so I can force fatherhood and shame on whoever keeps getting my dog pregnant.

Seen a couple posts on the dashboard lately about writing with ADHD. So, for the ADHD and neurodivergent folks who like writing but struggle sometimes… check out StimuWrite.

You can set it to make little sounds as you type (or leave them off), and emojis pop up in the corner. You can change the background, dark and light themes, set your word goal, and it gives you a percentage and total word count at the bottom. Though it’s more meant for getting a draft written up, so it doesn’t have spell check or anything like that. You’re meant to just copy and past what you write here into Google Docs or Word or Scrivener or whatever else you use and go from there. Honestly love it when I’m struggling to get words down, though. And apparently there’s an update now for StimuWrite 2?👀

Anyways, give it a try if it looks like it may help. It’s currently name-your-own-price.
