( kang haneul ; cis man ; he/him ) In a small town, everyone knows everyone and SEUL-KI "KIRYU" LIM  is no exception. The THIRTY FIVE  year old HUNTER has been in town for HIS WHOLE LIFE working as a PRIVATE DETECTIVE. Donât they remind you of FINGERLESS GLOVES STAINED WITH BLOOD, WEATHER FRAYED TRENCHCOATS, A POCKET WATCH WITH A PICTURE OF HIS WIFE INSIDE? They say being LOYAL is their best trait but watch out, they can also be VIOLENT. One thingâs for certain, you canât help but think of them when you hear THIS IS WAR- MBLAQ. will it be enough for them to survive the valley? ( min,30,she/her, sarah brauner's husband connection )
Your birth was like everything else in your life. Unprecdented. Your mother loved you, your father only muttered the word runt in his lips as he held you
For a couple years it was just and your mom, baking the hours away. You never really saw your dad often. Your mother just remarked its a special job
But that peace was going to end, when one day back from school you saw it. Your mother's warm face cold with death and two holes etched in her neck. You would never forget that image
At the funeral you were sitting alone when you saw a face. It was your father, crestfallen but also looking at you. You werent sure why. He said it bluntly right then and there vampire. There was shock but you listened. Shortly after he asked would you take vengence on them. You said yes
So you trained in the evenings after class. To your friends, you said it was karate. In reality it was training to be peak physical condition so when you see that vampire again you will personally make sure their end is agonizing
You became a man and your father took you on hunting trips. You used your weapons and watched the monster die. Any brief moment of guilt was washed away by the miniscule reminder in your head they arent human.
Of course the more you did the less the though came in your head. Thats the nature of your family now.
But maybe one person put that into question: a journalist sarah brauner
You wont lie your first impression of sarah was overtly nosey. but when you heard her reasonings, your heart soften a bit.
And when a family was rude to her. You came to her defense. And somehow a spark formed
Against all odds you fell in love and asked her to marry you
It made your life in the mist of a hell all the better
because even on your worst day, you return to the best thing that ever happened to you
Personality
Kinda stoic and tends to use his fists rather than words
Tends to not intially trust right away isnt an open book
But if you manage it he will protect and care for you as long as he lived
Is secretly a softie but he forces himself to be dickish
" good morning to you too. " she greets him through a voice still waking up itself, smiling as he nuzzles against her. she considered herself lucky every morning she woke up he was still safe and alive. " for me? you're sweet. " she asks sitting up with an almost frown to her face as she looks to the time and it was nearly time for him to leave for the morning. " you're not gonna make me eat it alone are you? "
"Did you sleep well?" He asked before stifling his own yawn. There was a slow hum as she sat up, him lazy lying down between the pillow and the headboard of the bed. There was a tired smile. "I'm sure I can just this once." He teased with a wink. Truthfully he would come in later, even if there was 100 cases on his desk." He slowly sat up and kissed her cheek. "Dibs on the bathroom." He said sitting near on the edge. "I'll meet you in fifteen." He said with a small pout.
He stepped into Bare Essentials looking for more information. His theory was simple-blood meant vampires. But he couldnt outright say that without any evidence. Arms laid against counter, eyes glistening. "Slow night?" He remarked looking around at the half barren room. He turned his eyes towards the younger, slipping the fifty on the counter. "Whiskey on the rocks, and maybe a penny for your thoughts?" He asked trying to sound like someone seemingly eager for small talk.
"I actually hate coffee." He said to Astra with a pointed look. He examined her with steely eyes. "I hear this place is ripe with gossip..." He looked at her with a feigned sympathic look. " I must be half right." He said trying to get some information out of her. "Or do I have to order something to continue." He asked nonchantly.

" what do you think of a garden in the middle of town square? " maya had been thinking of many things lately, one of them being how to make her home more inviting. not that it wasn't inviting as it was but it couldn't hurt to add a little vibrancy to the heart of the town. " a flower garden to be exact. "
"It would be nice." Kiryu relented. "Something beautiful for a town as hellish as this." There was a sad smile. "What type of flowers would you plant?" He asked sincerly. The woman reminded him of his own late mother.
To say that Natalia hated grocery shopping was an understatement. There were always too many choices and in general it was too boring for her liking. Which was why she liked to play little games with herself when she could. The most fun to her was shopping cart bowling, and at the end of her trip she tried to get a perfect score by pushing her cart into the return when it gave an unexpected veer to the right hitting a car. âOh shit!â Natalia said before looking around and finding someone who watched the whole thing. âListen Iâll give you $20 if you donât snitch.â She offered before a sudden thought came to mind. âOr Iâll buy you lunch if that was your car.â
He rubbed his temples the moment he saw the sight. Of course it was his luck that his car was hit. He took a deep breath, only on the basis that there was bigger things to worry about right now.He groaned. "Lunch and not cheap take out." He said with a sigh. He examined the scratch on his car and looked at the other. "Do I even want to know the context?" He asked rubbing his temples once more. Kiryu was trying to be amicable but that scratch was irratating to say the least.

"did you hear about all the blood they found? so gross." lucia rolled her eyes, acting as if it was no big deal. deep down though, she knew something terrible had happened. all that blood belonged to someone--or something. to be wasted spilled like that...someone was trying to send a message. the whos and the whats were the real mystery. "what do we thing? animal attack? serial killer? someone totally tried to get rid of a body..."
"It's less gross and more sloppy." He remarked quickly. A quiet grunt as he tried to read what was posted on social media- not the best way, but he trusted his wife to get him any information. He looked up. "Animals leave something. Serial Killer's try to make their mark. Getting rid of a body, that cleanly- hell has frozen over..." He remarked. There was a sigh. "Rest assured though, someone will get to the bottom of this." And that someone was him.
Kiryu woke up beside his wife with a smile. That's the one place he had peace, beside Sarah. He could describe Sarah with every word, beautiful, wise, brave. He can just write a sonnet.
Instead though, he gently wrapped his arms around his wife.He hummed near her ears, gently kissing her ear. There was a sleepy grin. He wished he could stay there with her forever but alas he needed to go to work
"Rise and shine, my love." He cooed into her ears. "I make breakfast today." He remarked
coffee. lord and savior of those in need of an energy boost and their day brightened. june wrapped her hands around her cup, inhaling the amazing smell of her mocha latte. leaning back in her chair, she glanced around the store, curious eyes watching people mingling as if this was the most normal, boring place in the world. there sure were a lot of new people moving to town. poor souls didn't know what they were getting themselves into. âdid you know there used to be a satanical cult in town a few years back?" she turned to the person next to her with a bored tone. "rumor has it they cursed a few businesses around here."
Coffee. Just a drink, a tolerable one at that. He sipped the black coffee as he read the paper. Until he heard a younger person's voice. Eyes rolled behind the paper before he heard the word cult. He sighed and placed the paper down, barely making eye contact. "What happened to the cult?" He couldn't help but ask. "Do they have descendants?" He asked fearing the filth of a cult spreading through town.
Juri sighed as he looked at his boyfr- more like boy fiend. Krit fricking Vorachit. Demon to all and angel to none. But for juri, in his state of darkness, sees Krit as an angel in disguise. The way his dark locks and clothes contrast his pale skin. And the occasional blood stain lips give him an appeal.
Did he love Krit-no. But would he feel odd without Krit in his life-maybe. A monk and a killer. Rather a corrupted monk who thinks he still good. As he shot the last boy making out with Krit.
The bells rung midnight. He was his now after all
Juri looked at the dead body and then at Krit.
"Your time is up." Juri noticed Krit's eyes gleaming in annoyance before caressing his chin. "Now I'm your only pretty boy." He said before pulling Krit into a kiss.
He was heading to an abyss in karma, but he couldnt care as he let the darkness envelope him.
The chaos around Mei made her try to run but unfortunately for her she accidentally tripped.
âWhy me? Why now?â She asked herself as she tried to crawl away from the madness while whining and crying a bit as she crawled.
She wasnât hurt, she just decided to keep low. Maybe if she did this people would be too distracted to notice her and maybe she wouldnât get attacked.
Mei then saw some feet in her path, someone was standing in front of her.
She looked up and saw who it was that blocked her path.
âAh⊠hello.â Mei said with a sheepish smile, hoping she wouldnât get attacked.
If he wasnât a gentleman, he would be cursing. The king should have known, he was trying to leave when he felt something against his foot.He looked down at his foot. âMei?â He questioned. âWhat are you doing on the floor?â He held out his hand. âGet up before you get trambled.âÂ
she gave a brief of her handâ brushing away his apology. in truth, it was her own fault for allowing herself to be so distracted when she ought to have been out mingling amongst the other royals. âohâ itâs quite grand.â she commented, eyes drifting back to look in the direction of the door. âtruthfully iâd hoped for at least a day to settle in before we were expected to move right into the pleasantries. it just all seems so sudden.â from the letter inviting them to versailles, to her betrothal and now celebrations. ece couldnât help but wonder how long it was before sheâd be shoved right down the aisle. âi have little reason to be out there aside from meeting my betrothed, and with not a clue what he looks like, i thought rather than attempt figuring it out for myself, i might come here. the books are a lovely distraction and the music has still managed to drift into the room. plus iâm certain some more formal meeting will be in place soon enough.âÂ
âand yourself? what has led you to this secluded section of the palace rather than the heart of the celebrations?âÂ
Jiaoling listened with intent. Observing her words leaving her words. It seemed nervous but he understand the need to force tranquility. He knew that he had a very menacing vibe. But he didnt say that aloud out of respect. He couldnât help but give a small grin at the betrothed. âWhoever he may be, I am sure he is lucky man.â Jiaoling replied. âIâm not sure how my betrothed looked but I hope sheâd be content with mediocrity.â He replied blithely. Jiaoling knew at his current state he could be better. Â
There was a tight smile. âSometimes you need to recoup from your duties.â He admitted.Â
ece would have been content simply settling into her rooms after the long journey ( the trip leaving her aching and wishing for nothing but a long soak and a soft bed ), but given that the french were incredibly pretentious, the celebrations were in full swing instead. having dressed into the appropriate attire, sheâd slipped through several of the rooms until settling into the library with a barely contained sigh ( at least there, the crowd was nearly nonexistent and the sounds of the other celebrations were dulled as they drifted into the room ).Â
fingers brushing along the spines of the books before her, ece tilted her head to read one of the titles ( her body swaying slightly along to music drifting into the room ). lost in thought, the woman visibly startled as someone appeared in her peripherals. âoh heavens!â hand fluttering against her chest, she turned to look at them, a hesitant and near apologetic smile tugging at her lips. âforgive me â i seem to have been lost in thought.âÂ
The french were making him cranky. If he wanted to see little to no diplomacy he would have stayed at home. Still he had to prove something for himself. He found himself deep in the catacombs of the library. âDear gods forgive me.â He whispered.Â
His eyes couldnât help but spot the girl from a distance. Something about her was so stunning. Maybe the eldest prince should have said something. He bowed in response. âApologies, Madam.â He shook his head. âI seemed to be lost in thought too.â He replied. âNot enjoying the occasion?âÂ

Jiaoling always felt as the most worthy of my brothers.Â
He felt that him becoming emperor should have been his destiny
To see his younger brother, get what was meant to be his was blasphemousÂ
Jiaoling found himself distancing from his family with each passing day. Only staying because he wanted his throne.Â
His bitter feeling increased as he heard that his brother was just following around.Â
Jiaoling upped the anti by doubling down on his duties and for a time had some belief that maybe he would become emperorÂ
But the time passed by and nothing happened.Â
For him , Jiaolong was becoming desperate.Â
But for now he has to focus on his betrothed arrangements.
Maybe he can prove himself to someoneÂ
Personality:Â
Hes just crushed âą that he isnt emperorÂ
He also feels conflicted because it is his brother but he wants revengedÂ
Jiaolong is actually a nice guy to those he care about but to others he feels like he has to be in royale king modeÂ
