So yesterday’s story seemed to have been so weird that Gruvia Week didn’t even reblog it .. I’m sorry. That Twilight reference ... forgive me. Well, but now it’s too late. That weird dream of Gray is now the basis for everything that continues to happen. I hope you can still enjoy it!
Day 1 - Passion | Day 2 - Sunrise | Day 3 - Growth
The day started off like any other day, apart from that weird dream that Gray had had in the morning. Juvia being pregnant, Lucy and Levi calling Gray a vampire and Natsu trying to burn him alive … what a nightmare. There had to be something off in Gray's psyche that he was dreaming stuff like that.
He sat in the guild and drank some water, hoping it would give him a clear mind again. Looking around he didn't seem to be the only one who's had his troubles sleeping last night, but he didn't waste it another thought when he heard Juvia's voice calling his name.
“Gray-sama!!”, she laughed cheerfully.
Gray immediately looked up and focused on her belly. It was normal. Thank god. Of course, he was aware of the fact that dreams don't just suddenly come true, especially when they were that crazy, but for some reason, this one dream had felt different.
“Good morning, Juvia!”, he greeted her as if nothing had happened. Well, nothing had happened after all and he should just forget everything and get over it.
“Oh no, Gray-sama!! What happened to your face?!”, Juvia suddenly squealed loudly.
Gray didn't quite get it. He hadn't looked into the mirror, yet, but … what could possibly be so horrible that Juvia would be so upset?
“Oh, I know exactly what happened!”, Juvia shouted enraged and started looking around the guild. “Where is he?!”
“Who are you talking about? What's wrong?!”, Gray was confused. He let his fingers glide across his face and felt that something was definitely off. His skin felt kind of … dry?
He looked into his mug and stared at his reflection with widened eyes. There was a huge scar right on his face. It looked as if it had been burnt. And to make that matter even worse and more confusing, it was that very spot in Gray's face that Natsu had hit with his fire attack in that wicked dream.
Now things started to become complicated and it became clear who Juvia was looking for with her eyes burning with rage. And that very someone made a pretty loud appearance as well.
“GRAY!!”, he roared so loudly, the whole guild flinched. “Where are you?!”
Behind the pink haired dragon slayer, Lucy was following after him, trying to hold him back.
“No, Natsu, stop! It's not like you think!!”, she tried to reach him, but Natsu seemed to be deaf to her pleas.
Only when she was close enough Gray noticed that something was wrong with her, too. She had terrible frost bites at her fingers. Just how the hell did she get these during summer? And how did Gray get his burn scar?!
“You did that to her, right Gray?!”, Natsu finally spotted Gray and screamed at him. “You'll pay for that!”
Just as Natsu was about to launch at the totally clueless Gray, Juvia intervened.
“You blemished Gray-sama's beautiful face!!”, she yelled at him and immediately attacked him. “How dare you?!”
“I don't know what you're talking about! But you're in my way!!”, Natsu snorted and tried to get past her, but Juvia didn't let him.
She wasn't as strong as Natsu, but on the other hand, water had a great advantage towards fire.
They were both wrong! Natsu didn't do that to Gray's face, at least not the real one. And Gray certainly didn't touch Lucy's finger and froze them.
“Gray!”, Lucy ran to Gray. She had given up trying to reach Natsu with her voice. “Could it be … did you also have a weird dream last night?”
She stared at his scar and nodded towards her own. Gray blinked a few times disturbed and then nodded. So it was true … there had been more to this dream than he could have imagined.
“Whoever is behind this, we need to find him and end this, quickly! Before someone really gets hurt!!”, Lucy sounded desperate. Only now Gray noticed that Natsu and Juvia weren't the only ones fighting. The whole guild had started engaging in raging battles, or rather the half of it. The other half was just standing there, confused, devastated and scared. Yes, every one of those who didn't fight had a peculiar new scar on his body and deep bags under the eyes.
“You're right … but how are we supposed to do this? How are we supposed to … stop them?”, Gray looked at Juvia and Natsu, angrily fighting to the teeth. This wasn't good at all.
Lucy, too, gave them a quick look and then turned back to Gray.
“Ok, listen up, just follow right after me now!”, she told him and then looked up to Natsu.
“Kyaa! Gray! No, please don't hurt me anymore!!”, she turned around and ran for the exit. “Leave me alone!”
Gray just looked after her dumbfounded until he understood and started running after her.
“Don't you dare!!! Keep your filthy hands off her!”, Natsu had noticed Lucy's screams for help, of course, unlike her words of reason and followed right after them with Juvia in pursuit.
What a very strange day. And it was just about to become even stranger.
Wow, it is really hard to write something that fits the prompt “Growth” ... well, I had my issues. That’s why this story turned out super weird. But okay, the first two parts were pretty fluff, so now I can write something disturbing for a change. Hope you enjoy it anyways!
Day 1 - Passion | Day 2 - Sunrise
“Gray-sama! Gray-sama!”, Juvia's voice rang through the guild and Gray looked up from his mug into the direction of his overjoyed girlfriend.
Somehow he had hoped that now that they were officially going out she'd become a bit calmer and settled, but she was just as chipper and heads over heels as always. And today it seemed to be even worse than usual.
“What is it, Juvia?”, Gray asked her as he patterned her. Something was different about her. Something had changed, he noticed it immediately. But what? Damn, that wasn't good. “Do you have a new haircut?”, he guessed.
“Haircut?”, Juvia cocked her head confused. “What are you talking about, Gray-sama? That's not important at all right now! Just look at Juvia's belly!”
Gray didn't quite get it and stared at Juvia slightly disturbed as she lifted her shirt. Now he immediately saw what was different about her … her belly somehow had … grown? Yes, it was definitely bigger that yesterday.
What happened? Did she eat too much? But why would she show him this? What was she expecting of him?! Gray went more confused with every second. How should he react on this?
“Uhm … okay?”, he carefully mumbled and looked at Juvia's expression, hoping that he could read something out of it.
“Okay?”, Juvia pouted and glared at Gray. “What do you mean okay? Don't you understand what that means? Juvia is pregnant!”
Gray's eyes widened and his jaw almost hit the table. “Huh?!”, he blurted out and the whole guild joined him.
Suddenly everyone's attention was directed right at them and that ridiculous situation that was about to unfold.
“P-pregnant? Are you serious? How is this …?”, Gray muttered confused as he was counting the days over and over again. “How is this even possible?!”
It wasn't. It just wasn't possible.
“Well, Gray. I think someone needs to learn a little something from the older generation ...”, Macao suddenly appeared behind and patted him on the back, “Even though it seems to be too late already … but well. You know, when a man loves a woman -”
“I know that!!”, Gray interrupted him, his face high red. He started feeling seriously dizzy now.
“It's just ...”, he looked at Juvia again and her obviously swollen belly and back at Macao. “It's been only … a few days. This is just … not possible.”
“Only a few days …?”, the old man answered confused and thought about it a bit. “Well, this definitely makes no sense. Are you sure about that?”
“Only a few days, you say?”, suddenly Levi came out of nowhere, side by side with her blonde friend, and they both had broad, knowing smiles on their faces.
“So you say you did it only a few days ago, but Juvia is already in a progressed state of pregnancy?”, she asked to make sure.
Gray's throat went dry and his head felt dizzy being asked about such things, by Levi of all people, but he just nodded.
“That's curious ...”, Lucy mumbled to herself, “this can only mean one thing … Levi, are you thinking the same thing I am thinking?”
Levi just grinned and nodded. “Gray is a vampire!”, they both suddenly shouted in unison, so loudly that everyone in the guild flinched and stared at them disbelieving.
“What the …?!”, Gray didn't understand in the slightest what was going on.
“It all makes sense now!”, Levi nodded self-content. “I think I saw him glittering in the sunlight just the other day. That's proof enough for me!”
“Glittering in the sunlight?! What the hell are you talking about?! I don't do stuff like that and if I did, it's probably just some ice dust! And how the hell is this making me a vampire?!”
“All mere excuses!”, Lucy shook her head, “Juvia, tell us! Is Gray sparkling in the sunlight or is he not?”
Juvia just grinned obliviously. “Gray-sama is always sparkling to me, like a prince from a fairy tale”, she answered honestly.
Gray wanted to hide his face in his palms, but he wasn't really given any time for that. This situation just went weirder and weirder with every passing second and even though it was plainly obvious that the girls had just read some weird and crazy vampire love stories that fucked up their minds, everyone seemed to believe them. Especially this one troublesome guy.
“Gray is a vampire!”, Natsu yelled and came jumping down from the ceiling, right in Gray's direction. “And vampires have to be burnt with fire!”
He took a deep breath and then suddenly breathed a huge flame right at his comrade. It all went too fast for Gray to dodge and so he got the whole burning fire right in his face.
“AHHH!”, he screamed, more out of shock and confusion than out of pain, because when he opened his eyes he didn't feel any pain at all.
He was lying in his bed, the sun burning itself right into his skin and yes, it didn't sparkle! Not one bit!
A dream. It's all been a dream. Natsu didn't burn him. He was not a vampire. And Juvia wasn't pregnant. But was he really sure about that last thing? Maybe he should pay some extra attention now to the growth of Juvia's belly.
Here my entry for the second day of Gruvia week! I’m trying to make a full story out of the parts like (almost) every year, so let’s see how this will turn out!
The link to the first part: Day 1 - Passion
Tickled by the morning light, Gray slowly opened his eyes and groaned. He really didn't like getting up early, but once he woke up there was no chance to get back to sleep.
As he wanted to get up, he noticed that something was off. Something was different about this morning, but what could it be?
It took him some time until it struck his mind that it might have something to do with this other person sharing the bed with him. Juvia was lying in his arms, still fast asleep and stark naked.
Gray flinched slightly when he noticed it and the memories of the last night slowly returned to his consciousness. Right, he and Juvia, they …
All of a sudden Gray felt really hot and his face went high red. He wanted to jump right out of the bed, but he was afraid he could wake Juvia up, so he looked at her for a while.
Her calm, sleeping face, the light of the rising sun shimmering in her blue hair … it only made it worse. He felt like he was about to boil, so he carefully sneaked out of the bed to cool himself off.
Standing in front of the window and staring at the slowly rising sun calmed him down. He was naked as well, but that didn't bother him one bit, of course. Thinking about the days he had walked through snow storms with nothing on his body but his boxers drove the heat away, that had built up inside of him.
But whenever he got conscious of Juvia's presence or peaked at her, it returned immediately.
“Gray-sama?”, Juvia moaned as she slowly woke up.
She sat herself up and stretched her arms, her breasts slightly wobbling with every movement she made. Her eyes searched for Gray and when she saw him standing by the window, she immediately froze.
“Good morning, Juvia”, Gray mumbled overextended. Seeing her like this made his mind go nuts. His eyes wandered to her female body over and over again, although he tried hard to look her in the eyes. The memories of what they had done the night before poured on him mercilessly like rain and made the heat flow through his body in waves.
In the meantime, Juvia just stared at him with huge eyes. Gray's perfect body in front of her, the beautiful light of the sunrise behind him. It almost looked too gorgeous to be true, was she sure that she wasn't still dreaming? Gray wasn't the only one overextended with this situation. A single tear ran down Juvia's cheek.
“Juvia, are you alright?”, Gray noticed it and instantly felt worried. “Are you hurt?”
He walked towards her and reached for her face, gently wiping the tear away.
Feeling the warm hand on her skin made Juvia understand, that this was really happening. She wasn't dreaming, no this was real. She placed her hand on Gray's and smiled at him.
“No, Juvia is just really happy!”
Gray didn't quite understand why this was a reason to cry, but he didn't ask any further. He just nodded and returned her smile.
Happy Gruvia Week, everyone! God, I just had a final deadline for a university project an hour ago, and damn, it was hell. I’m so glad it’s over now!
So here is my short first contribution to Gruvia Week, which I quickly wrote just now. It’s really not much or long, but enjoy anyways!
Now that he was thinking about it, it all seemed rather weird to Gray. Had he ever been a passionate person? Yes, he had. He had been passionate about so many things.
About revenge, becoming stronger, learning magic, becoming stronger, beating Deliora, beating Lyon, beating Natsu, becoming stronger and stronger. Strongest.
So many things he had been passionate about, that had lighted a fire in his heart of ice, a fire of hatred and greed, that almost consumed him from time to time.
But then, of course, there had always been the flipside of this thing called passion. Ull, Fairy Tail, his friends and comrades and then suddenly there had been this woman.
A woman as wild as raging rivers, as breathtaking as a waterfall, as mysterious as the wide sea and as calm and soothing as summer rain. And even though she embodied the water itself, she had managed to light a fíre in Grey's heart that was so bright and hot that it was consuming him whole.
How weird this all felt, and how weird it was that Grey came up with thoughts like that now that he had his lips on those of this very woman.
Juvia's body was so warm and soft, her lips so sweet. Usually Grey hated the warmth, but somehow he couldn't get enough of it.
“Gray-sama”, Juvia mumbled breathlessly, “Juvia is very … happy.”
She smiled at him with her broadest smile and Gray had a hard time not to just kiss her again and go even further. “Me, too.”
It had taken a very long time for them to finally reach this point. Far too long. And yes, it had all been Gray's fault. But now was not the time to think about that, now was the time to make up for the lost time.
So Gray didn't hold back anymore, kissed her again and let his fingers slowly slide beneath her clothing. He had been half-naked, to begin with, anyway, naturally.
Hey guys! Another month is over!
So a month ago I said the new chapter for my Yuri!!! on Ice fanfiction is almost done ... well it’s done now and already updated! But because I was doing this recap entry anyway, it won’t get a separate post so ... link is here.
February was a bit ... crazy chaotic like always. I didn’t get even close to my word goal, just too many exams. But the good thing is, now I have vacation so maybe I can follow up on everything in March?
Before I write the third and last chapter for the Yuri!!! on Ice fanfiction, I have a new one shot in progress so stay tuned.
Hey everyone! I thought about giving you a quick update and short recap by the end of every month, so here I am with the first one.
My New Year’s Resolution for 2017 was to write at least 8000 words every month and for January ... I totally did it! Yay! If you count the stuff I wrote for university that is ... not quite the intention, but well.
So what happened this month? I started two new fanfictions in the first two days, both which I intend to continue soon.
- Yuri!!! on Ice fanfiction “An end is always a new beginning”
- Hamatora fanfiction “Just a win-win situation”
The next chapter for the YOI one is almost done - just a bit more patience.
Also - to be a bit off-topic - I started posting stuff on my Instagram account now. If you happen to be interested in pixel art and Perler beads stuff, feel free to have a look and drop a like or a sub to boost my self-esteem. Name is the same as in Tumblr. Here is my little Noctis from FFXV for example.
Victor x Yuri - Yaoi: Of course, there is no Grand Prix Finals without a huge banquet afterward and Yuri has a hard time staying sober again. Victor does his best to look over him, but even Victor isn't always perfect and the situation gets out of hand.
Last but not least: A Yuri!!! on Ice fanfiction. It is half past one and somehow it was obvious that I would screw this up with my last update now.
Well, at least I made it in some parts of the world so phew! But now I’m really tired and will go to bed! Good night everyone and happy reading!
Nice x Murasaki - Yaoi: Nice suddenly bursts in on Murasaki showering and the situation quickly escalates ...
Part 2 of my New Year’s Yaoi Special!
It’s officially 2017 now, so happy new year again. Do you already feel it? The change in the atmosphere? How it’s easier to breathe and everything starts to get better?
No? Well, me neither, but I’m not giving up yet. I’m uploading some Yaoi stories again after what feels like an eternity. Even though it’s a story that I have already written months ago ... anyways, tomorrow there will be a brand new story for a brand new anime that has just finished its first season. Can you guess what it is?
2016 has been kind of a bitch ... for me and for many other people on this planet. So I thought I wanted it to have a happy ending at least - like I wanted Code Geass to have a happy ending.
As I already had mentioned I’ve had this story lying around unfinished for ages now and while I was waiting they even announced a new season of Code Geass!
My idea was to have some kind of ‘Good ending/ Happy start’ event this year. I will end 2016 with one one-shot and begin 2017 with two! Hoping that in 2017 I can be a lot more active than I was this year. So be prepared for two more updates and of course .....
Just when you thought it couldn’t become any gayer ...
Still catching up on fall season anime and omg this is just perfect!!
Am I the only one who thinks the world is ready for a pole dance “sports” anime with an all-male cast?
Would be a justifiable consequence after Yaoi!!! Yuri!!! on Ice.
*Creep out of grave* *wipe dirt from clothes* *stretch limbs and yawn*
Hey there! I’m back! Yes, I really am. Can’t believe it myself.
And once again with an ‘Itachi’s Suffering’ chapter because, hey, I don’t seem to write anything else lately. I know, this is horrible. I can’t remember the last time I have been in such a long-term slump.
Instead of writing and being creative I find myself in a death cycle of lazy consuming every single day, wasting my free time on TV series and games or just sleeping ... and all that even though I really want to write! I really do!
I want to write some Yaoi again, want to write fanfictions for Haikyuu! and Yaoi!!! on Ice and the ‘For Our Sake’ sequel I kept promising. I even have an unfinished Code Geass fanfiction lying around and a finished Hamatora fanfiction that I never put online...
Hello everyone! Here I rise again from the shadows of idleness to tell you I have a new update! The thing is: It’s still not the continuation of my Nalu Week entry. GAH!! I have never once failed that hard at this.
I had really been convinced, that I could finish the Nalu Week story before sinking into the pleasures of summery exam writing, but I was wrong. A lot of other things happened in my life as well (and I don’t only mean Pokemon Go), and before I knew it July is over and I’m standing here empty-handed.
Then I got a very very sweet review on Itachi’s Suffering and I remembered that I had this chapter lying around for over a month now, waiting to be uploaded, so today I simply did.
Just know that I didn’t give up on the Nalu Week 2016 story, it will still happen! Maybe some of the admins will even find forbearance in their hearts and reblog it a month late :D If not it will just be on my fanfic page, as always.
Day 2 and I am slightly late, at least in my part of the world. I’m sorry, but as a good German I had to watch the soccer game of course and it was sooo long and so nerve-wrecking ...So this part of the story is very short an nothing really happens, but hey, I’m still only at the introduction yet.
Anyways, if you haven’t read the first part yet, click here: Part 1 - Longing
And now, enjoy.
Day 2: Reunion
When Lucy stepped into the Guild Hall the next day, the atmosphere had changed. It was suddenly so cheerful, everyone was excited and a huge flock of people had gathered around the center of the Hall. As Lucy was sill wondering what was going on, she suddenly heard a loud familiar laugh coming from amidst the crowd.
It was Natsu. It was without a doubt Natsu. He had returned. Lucy's heart almost stopped and she froze on the spot. She had waited for this moment to come for weeks. And now? What should she do? How should she react?
All sorts of weird feelings ran havoc inside her. She was mad at him for leaving her alone for such a long time, she was incredibly happy about just hearing his laugh again and her belly started tickling when she thought about the last time they had seen each other. The kiss.
Now, how should she react. Should she just act like nothing had ever happened? Should she ask him immediately?
As she was still thinking about it like crazy, she suddenly heard someone calling her name.
“Lucy?”, the voice that just had laughed loudly now sounded hesitant and shy.
Natsu was standing in front of her, having fought his way through the crowd and looked at her somewhat anxious, but also delighted. It was the same way she looked at him, and for some reason that made her really happy.
So happy that tears started running down her cheeks and all her weird emotions were just washed away by them. All that remained was the pure happiness to see him again.
“Natsu!”, she yelled at him sobbing, made a few big steps in his direction and wrapped her arms around him. “Just where have you been all this time?!”
Natsu was quite surprised by Lucy's reaction and blacked out for a moment, then returned her hug.
“I'm back ...”, he mumbled flustered.
“Welcome home”, Lucy answered with a slowly blushing face.
They just stood there for a few more moments, while the rest of the guild members started to back off to leave them some space, all of them with a broad, knowing grin on their faces. Maybe they knew more than they did themselves, because Lucy still had no clue about anything.
“Lucy …”, Natsu suddenly started. “There's something I want to talk to you about.”
“You mean about the kiss and your sudden disappearance right after it?”, Lucy looked up to him and squinted her eyes.
“Y-yeah … exactly.” Natsu's face took the color of his hair and he tried to hide his embarrassment behind an awkwardly broad smile, but it didn't work at all. It only made it worse actually.
“Okay … let's talk about it.”
Lucy was amazed herself that she was able to say that this casually, but waiting so long and picturing this talk over and over again made her more than ready for it. She just wanted to know the truth about it all now, whatever it might me.
Yay it’s finally this time of the year again! The time were I panic every night and quickly write something that comes to my mind and somehow feels like it could have something to do with the prompt. Let’s see how my story of this year will turn out.
Here comes the first part of my story:
Day 1: Longing
It almost felt like drowning in one's own sad eyes. Lucy quickly stirred her drink with her straw before she was about to meet that fate. How many hours had she spent here again? How many days in succession? Or has it been weeks already?
She took a sip from her drink and crushed the glass back on the table. Slowly the frustration and worries she felt turned into anger. Just what was that guy thinking?!
Before she could delve into negative thoughts more, the door suddenly swung open with a loud crash and someone loudly stepped inside. Lucy couldn't help but jump up with widened eyes, her heart almost skipping a beat. She looked at the open door, desperately searching for the pink hair and the broad smile that she had longed to see for such a long time, but all she saw was Gray's pissed face.
Seems like he hadn't had such a good day, but Lucy didn't waste it another thought. She just felt like all her expectations and hopes had just been dropped from a cliff and so she let her body fall back on her chair with a disappointed sigh.
“What's wrong, Lucy? Did you expect someone special?”, Cana suddenly sat next to her, with a mischievous grin on her face.
“N-no, of course not! I don't know who you mean!”, Lucy flinched and blushed slightly.
“Ah, come on, Lucy. It's so obvious you're sitting here every day for two weeks now, waiting for Natsu to return. Why did he go on mission without you anyway? Did you have a fight or something?”, she came closer, her eyes overflowing with curiosity. Lucy turned even redder and backed off.
“That's not it! I …”, she took a deep breath, her throat started to get dry. “I don't know!”
She stood up and quickly left for the door, leaving a dumbfounded Cana behind. She didn't intend to sound harsh or bitchy, but she just couldn't help it. It's already been two weeks? Just where the hell had Natsu gone to? And why had he left her behind?
When she went outside the Guild it was already dark. Again, she had spent the whole day sitting around and waiting for him to return. On her way home, she walked along the river like always, balancing on the edge. It was dangerous, she knew that, but it was also fun. But after a few meters she stopped.
There was the spot … two weeks ago she had walked this path with Natsu accompanying her. It had been a totally innocent walk, he had just walked her home from the Guild, talking about some bullshit and laughing.
For just one moment Lucy hadn't been careful and all of a sudden, she had slipped on a wet stone and tripped. She had already pictured herself landing in the river, when Natsu's warm hand had reached for her and pulled her towards him. Instead of the expected wet cold, she had felt the comfortable warmth of his arms around her.
She had wanted to look up to him, thanking him and freeing herself of his hug again, but then … without warning or signs, he had suddenly put his lips on hers.
Just thinking about it made Lucy blush again and feel really hot. They had just stood there, kissing. It had been such a surreal moment, that Lucy wasn't quite sure whether it really had happened at all. But then, before they could have talked about it, Natsu had just let go of her again and run away, leaving Lucy behind.
The next day Lucy had learned, that he had gone off to a solo mission. It was so weird. For two weeks Lucy had thought about what had happened over and over again and by now she was perfectly aware of her feelings. She missed him so much now. So why did he just leave her behind? Didn't he feel the same way? It was him who had kissed her out of nowhere after all.
All she could do now was staying here and waiting for him to return until she would finally get her answers.
As promised I have now put my Gruvia Week submission from this year on ff.net! Just took me almost three months, yay!
I wanted to change and flesh it out a little more, but now that Nalu week is already around the corner and I have quite a few other writing projects piled up, I think it’s time to let go of these plans ...
Woohoo it’s out there! This chapter has been rotting on my PC for almost 3 months now and for whatever reason I didn’t publish it.
So here it finally is and I have once again proven that I am not yet dead. Coming up will be now the edited Gruvia week entry from this year and Chapter 50 which I’ve also finished a while ago.
Sadly, I didn’t participate in Elfever and Jerza Week this year ... but I will definitely write something for Nalu Week again! Promise!
With other words I will be active again for a couple of weeks! Yay!
And once again I didn’t manage to be on time in the end! I’m sorry! This week just had it all: Exams, Work, Exhausted sudden sleep attacks
Well, better late than never, right? Here is the last part of my Gruvia Week story. It kind of has both the prompts fear and answer. It’s been a bit rushed towards the end, but I will edit the full story a bit, maybe make it a bit longer, and put it in my Fairy Tail romantic one shot collection on FF.net in the near future.
So enough talking! Enjoy!
Part 1 | Part 2
What has happened so far:
After hitting her head Juvia lost all her memories of Gray. Now Gray has to find a way to handle this situation and finally needs to clarify his feelings for Juvia to her and himself.
Juvia felt the stare in her neck and felt quite uncomfortable about it. This man she didn't know, who wouldn't leave her out of his sight … just who was he? Was it really true that she actually knew him and just couldn't remember him? It felt so weird.
“Lucy-san … tell Juvia, who exactly is that guy? Do I really know him or is he just a madman lingering around here?”, she finally managed to ask.
“Well …”, Lucy and Levy exchanged looks, “Yes, you do know him. He's actually been a Fairy Tail member for a long time already. Longer than you or me.”
Juvia blinked confused. She really had no single memory of him. Just how was that possible?
“Did Juvia talk with him a lot?”, Juvia asked further. Lucy strangely tensed up about that.
“Uhm … yeah. You could put it like that”, she mumbled. “But don't worry. I'm sure everything will return to you eventually and it will be as if nothing had ever happened.”
Juvia raised her brows. She wasn't really convinced.
“Say Juvia … do you remember the reason you joined Fairy Tail?”, Levy suddenly asked. Lucy gave her an approving nod and focused on Juvia again.
“The reason why Juvia joined Fairy Tail?”, Juvia repeated startled, “well … Phantom Lord dissolved and then I … Juvia …”
She paused. She didn't know. Why did she join Fairy Tail again? Fairy Tail of all guilds … they had been responsible for the end of her previous Guild. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that there were black holes opening up in her memory.
She hadn't realized it until now, but there was definitively something missing … something very important.
“Juvia doesn't know!”, she looked at Lucy and Levy as tears welled up in her eyes. They flinched shocked and immediately felt guilty.
“It's okay, Juvia, don't rush yourself!”, Lucy reached out for her but Juvia avoided her touch.
She turned around and looked at that man she didn't know as he left the Guild hall once again this day, this time without looking at her one more time. Where did he go?
“Juvia?”, Levy called out for her worried. Juvia just stared at the closed door and the tears ran down her face. It felt like her memory wasn't the only thing that had a hole.
Gray sat by the riverside, the rain dripping on his face. He just couldn't take it anymore, looking at her without being looked back at. For some reason, here he felt closer to Juvia than in the Guild. The rain, the dark clouds, it was just like that day.
Who would have thought this day would come? The day Juvia stopped looking at him. He had thought this would go on forever, had taken it for granted. Her smile, her devotion, her … emotions, her everything. He had thought that it was just something that was there and would never leave.
Like eternal ice. Only warmer. Water. Rain. And now? Everyone was convinced she would regain her memories, but how could they be so sure? The thought of loosing her forever … it had never come to this mind, but now suddenly it was there. And it was so scary.
“Excuse me?”, a voice suddenly spoke to him from right behind him. Gray recognized it immediately and turned around.
“Juvia?!”, he gasped, “did you remember me now?”
Juvia looked to the ground and shook her head. “'Juvia is sorry ...”
“Is that so?”, Gray sighed, “You don't need to be sorry. It's not your fault.”
“You're really bothered by it, aren't you?”, she asked him rather directly.
Gray flinched and looked at her shocked. He hadn't expected a question like that. Was he bothered by it? Well, obviously he was, but … he couldn't tell her.
“I'm sorry, Juvia ...”, Juvia shook her head again and made a small step back, “Juvia just wants to understand the situation better. Juvia just wants to understand why you're so worked up about this … so would you mind answering Juvia a question?”
Gray didn't say anything. He, too, wanted to know the situation better. He wanted to understand, why he felt so anxious all the time. What was he afraid of exactly?
“Go ahead.”, he nodded.
“Okay … so … what does Juvia mean to you?”, she asked straightforward.
Gray's heart skipped a beat and he forgot to breathe for several seconds.
“Wh-what?”, he stuttered. He was asking himself this question for a time span that felt like hours consciously, but actually he had been asking himself this question for months. And he hadn't found an answer, yet.
“It's just ...”, Juvia avoided looking at him, “Juvia noticed how worked up you are about Juvia forgetting all about you … and how much it seems to pain you. It just makes Juvia wonder … why.”
Gray gulped. Was it really that obvious? Of course it was. It seemed to be obvious to anyone but him.
“And plus …”, Juvia continued, “Juvia, too, feels that there's something missing. Not only the holes in my memories, but also … Juvia feels like something huge has been ripped right out of Juvia's heart. Something very dear to me.”
Gray looked at her worried. She was so worked up about it, that she forgot to talk in third person from time to time. This was really serious.
“Well, Juvia, it's ...”, Gray sighed. He couldn't deny that he was very well aware of the feelings Juvia had for him. He just always acted like he wasn't. If he told her now, it was all over. And would she even believe him now, in this kind of situation? “You'll remember again.”
He just blurted out the same thing Erza had said, the same thing everyone had said. And now he understood it, why they all said it. It was the only option, the only thing that could possibly happen. Everything else would be too horrible, too weird, too scary to even think of. But Juvia thought of it and tears ran down her eyes.
“But what if not?”, she sobbed, “What if Juvia won't remember? I'm so afraid … Juvia can't live with this hole in her heart … it's so scary it almost hurts. Juvia is so scared!”
Gray didn't know what to do, he was totally overextended with the situation.
“Juvia … please don't cry! I'm sure you will … I hope you will …!”, Gray couldn't possibly comfort her, because he himself was to terrified by the thought of Juvia never getting her memories back. He bit his lips and took a deep breath.
“Okay, Juvia, listen. I will give you your answer. I will tell you what you mean to me. But then you'll have to stop crying, okay?”, he somehow brought across his lips, even though his heart was racing.
Juvia stopped shaking and sobbing and looked up to him, opened her eyes and suddenly they glowed in awe and surprise. Gray couldn't believe, that she would react like that just because of this sentence. Furthermore, she didn't even look at him, but her eyes were focused on something behind him.
“What … what is that?”, she asked.
Gray was a bit confused. He was finally ready to give her an answer and was completely ignored. Slightly pissed he turned around to see what would gain Juvia's sole attention so quickly. When he saw it, he was even more dumbfounded.
“Uhm … Juvia … that's the sun. You know the sun, right?”, Gray squinted his eyes.
The clouds were finally clearing up and the first rays of sun where fighting it's way through.
“The sun? That's the first time Juvia is seeing it. It's beautiful!”, she couldn't get her eyes off it.
“What are you talking about? It's certainly not the first time you're seeing it! The first time was, when ...”, Gray started, but then he understood. The first time she saw it … it was something that's been wiped from her memories. But what about all the days that followed? Did she … loose her memory of the sun?
“The first time was, when ...”, Juvia repeated his sentence, finally looking at Gray again. But somehow, her eyes wouldn't change. She looked at Gray the very same way she had looked at the sun. “... when Juvia and Gray-sama first met, right?”
Gray's eyes widened. “Juvia ...”
The next moment Juvia ran towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck. The few seconds where the tears had stopped flowing were over and she cried and sobbed again.
“Gray-sama! Juvia … is so glad. Forgetting about Gray-sama was so horrible and scary! Juvia was so scared!”, she sobbed.
Gray just stood there, felt her warm body touching his, and stared holes in the air. He was so relieved. He couldn't put in words how relieved he was. Never had such a big rock fallen from his heart before.
“Me, too, Juvia ...”, his voice sounded dry, “I was really scared, too.”
He couldn't do anything, but wrapping her arms around her, too. Everything was back to normal, but somehow everything had changed. This whole thing had had one good point: Gray was forced to reflect on what he actually wanted. He had asked himself if he even wanted Juvia to remember him or if it wasn't better like that. And the answer to this question had brought up even more questions. And he had to think of more answers. Right … an answer … he was still owing her one.
“Juvia …”, he grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back from him, so he could look in her eyes.
Juvia looked at him quite confused, so confused that she stopped crying.
“I still haven't told you what you mean to me ...”, Gray started. With every word he lost more breath and his heart started racing again. His throat went even drier.
“Gray-sama ...”, Juvia seemed to notice his struggle and smiled at him, “It's okay. Gray-sama doesn't need to push himself ...”
“No!”, Gray pulled himself together. If he wasn't saying it now, he would probably say it never.
“The answer is: I love you, Juvia!”
Juvia's eyes widened and got wet again, the sun reflected in them and made them sparkle in a mesmerizing blue.
“Gray-sama, Juvia … Juvia loves you, too!”, she screamed out and the tears flowed once again.
“I know ...”, Gray smiled at her. “Hey, hey, no crying anymore. I said you should stop crying when I give you an answer.”
Juvia nodded, but she didn't stop crying nonetheless. Gray shook his head with a smirk on his face and sighed.
“You're really … Come here.”
He drew her closer again, laid his arms around her waist and put his lips on hers.
Later the Guild members asked, what he would have done, when Juvia hadn't regained her memories. Gray paused for quite a long time to pretend that he was thinking for an answer, even though he knew it already very well.
He shrugged and told them honestly, that he would have pestered her so long, until she fell in love with him once again. It most likely would have been just like with their counter parts in Edolas. Nobody believed him.
