man this new wuthering heights movie makes me so sad I know we never had a good adaptation but watching the discourse around this one is so dreadful, like yes it is horrendous but because it has no respect for the original text, for the genre, and for the characters, not because it "romanticizes toxic relationships" or whatever people who don't understands gothic works say, that 30yrs lady will never be a good catherine and that fuckass white boy will never be a good heathcliff no matter what stupid "sexual tension" emerald fennel wants to sell

you know sometimes I feel like shipping sydcarmy is like shipping yaoi on a shounen. you can see the love underline every dialogue every action and you can see how it's different from their relationship with others, even the love interests, but the writers keep making them call each other friend at the end of what is essencialy a love speech

Camilla was not my favorite and I do not nurture enough love for her for this to be a piece born out of it, I loved Richard and in reading I took his part in everything, being in his shoes all that I wanted to see and draw was Camilla, so here she is.

ps: I wish Richard would let himself be gayer and admit the love of his life was Francis
