Apparently the local university’s undergraduate entomology course sends students to catch insect specimens at the same place I like to go birdwatching, which explains why I saw three enormous frat looking dudes with tiny bug nets and overheard one emphatically say “bro BRO I told you we already have enough lepidopterans”

Yes, yes, the dentist. We’ve all been there.
Lowkey want to write a romance book where the summary makes it sound like it's gonna be one of those smutty cheating-on-boring-boyfriend/husband books, but actually nothing of the sort happens, they are stronger than ever as a couple at the end, and any other guy mentionned in the summary is a very good friend of the family.
Think "1888: 25 yo bride of british a much older politician bore is wasting away in her marriage until the day her husband introduces her to the sulfurous and single Lord Bedbreaker. Despite her reluctance, he will show her a whole new world and take her on adventures she never would have imagined"
What happens: "1888 (the year jack the ripper killed people. It will be plot relevant). The 25 yo bride of a british, much older (he's 30) politician bore (she loves that he's boring, she's boring too) is wasting away in her marriage (because their boringnesses play up each other's insecurities about being boring and tasteless, and they never dare to leave their comfort zone as a result) until the day her husband introduces her to the sulfurous (literally just came back from using sulfur to get rid of an infestation in his house or something) and single (because of the infestation. Also he might be like 15) Lord Bedbreaker (actually an anglicization of some germanic name with no such connotations). Despite her reluctance (because it's super dangerous) he will show her a whole new world (the East End, aka the poorer neighbourhoods) and take her on adventures she could never have imagined (they're gonna catch Jack the Ripper along with her husband and a couple of friends, it's a group outing, she doesnt develop feelings for him)

You can’t tell me Clark wasn’t popular with the church girls of Smallville. Do you know how many chairs he could probably carry?
Martha Kent, coaching her son before the church potluck: “Okay, Clark, remember, only four folding chairs per hand today.”
Clark: “BUT MA”

people who comment on fics just to say that they are re-reading and still cried/felt emotions/loved it are the greatest people on earth and should be given a thousand dollars.
addition: people who comment on fics to say that they are not even in this fandom and didn’t know the characters at all but read it anyway and loved it are also the greatest people on earth and should also be given a thousand dollars.
