YESS!! Okay, I need to talk about this, and this especially goes to my followers (and future followers).
For the followers who are White:
I know I reblog posts and occasionally tag them with #WhitePeopleAintShit, or #ShitWhitePeopleSay, and a handful of White viewers have taken to offense to it. (I even have a tab on my blog titled ‘Why White People Aint Shit’)
We know damn well not all y’all are racists. We know damn well y’all don’t hate us. We know damn well White people season their food… well… some of y’all ;)
Jokes aside, when I tag posts like what I list above, I’m not talking about White people as a whole. I’m talking about the following White people:
Who deny their White privileges
Who support #AllLivesMatter
Who derail police brutality with “Black-on-Black crime”
Who claim they’re “pro-equality” but are ironically racist af
Who use their Black friend as an excuse to say the N-word
Who claim they’re “Blacker” than their Black friend
Who use MLK Jr.’s quotes to pacify Black protesters when we riot
Who have more confidence in the police force
Who support #BlueLivesMatter
Who say “Not all White people…” (We already know that!)
Who always ask for “sources” as if we make this shit up
Who believe “Reverse Racism” is real
Who culturally appropriate Black culture
Who blame Black people for the shit we’re in today
Who act like they know more about racism than us
Who support rights to bear arms
Who still disagree with us after we typed a fuckin’ 10-page college essay on why Police Brutality is a serious issue in the Black community
Who deny that White terrorism exists
Who are “colorblind”, or claim they don’t see color
Who touch our hair as they ask to touch our hair
Who sexualize and fetishize Black Men
Who sexualize and fetishize Black Women
Who don’t find Black people attractive because it’s their “preference”
Who fantasize about having mixed babies, or say mixed babies “are the cutest”
Who make racist jokes about Black people
Who vandalize ‘Black Lives Matter’ paintings on city walls
Who burn down Black churches and mosques
Who spread stereotypes about Black people
Who run White supremacist blogs on tumblr
Who claim they can’t be racist because they dated a Black person
Who tell us to “Get over” slavery
Who tell us to “Get over” racism
Who support respectability politics, or “Respect yourself so others can respect you”
Who justify the deaths of Black lives
Who are just so tired of hiding their racism, they have to let it show!!
With that being said, there are White people who do/did one, or few, of the following things listed above and they honestly don’t know their being racist. These White people come from a good place! They cool! They just don’t know that their being racially oppressive. We all had moments where we had to learn, right???
It’s cool… Just pull em to the side and let em know what they did was… ya know… a bit racist… if they can turn it down a couple notches, that’d be great!
Now if that same White person decides to be a dick and brush you off like you’re just being sensitive, or you’re just looking too much into it, or they say “it’s just a joke! Relax!”… Now they ain’t shit…
If you explained to the White individual(s) why it was oppressive, why it’s racist, and maybe added a brief history behind why it’s bad in the first place, and he/she is still doing/saying racist shit, they ain’t shit.
So, once again boys and girls, don’t take those tags to offense. I fucks with y’all heavy. Either you with us or you against us.
