There’s so much wrong with adding Kali to the plot, writing her a certain way to intentionally piss off the GA when she’s one of the only WOC in the whole show, torturing her, and then killing her off in the stupidest fucking way imaginable. Narratively speaking though, the Duffers fucking BOMBED the chance to have a Roll 20 vs Mindflayer/Vecna scene. Could you imagine the cool ass fight scene the Duffers could have directed with El, Will, and Kali working together to kill their abuser once and for all? The Will and Vecna “you were just a kid like me” talk, Hopper literally leaving Kali to die and her ultimately dying after losing everything, and El giving up everything and everyone she’s ever loved “for the greater good” is so diabolical when the message was supposed to be “ending the cycle”. I have so many things to say about the wasted potential and fuckass choices in this show oml 😔😔😔
