Idk of this is coming out of nowhere, but I wanted to talk about Paralives for a bit.

For anyone that doesn't know: Paralives is a new and popular life sim that people are latching onto since TS4 and EA suck. Why you may ask? Because they charge $40 for DLCs that are basically unplayable, vapid and hollow, and full of bugs.

People latched onto the development of Paralives because the devs were so involved with the community and showcasing their bugs and what they're doing to fix them; as well as their promise to never charge for DLC, unlike the game most of their following has been burned by. Everything instead will be a free update.

That's great and all, but they just released early access for $39.99 with the note that the price will increase as the game gets updated with more content. A lot of people's complaints (including mine) is that is an absurd price for early access, and the current content of the game is meaningless with very few interactions that are repetitive and that the bugs make the game basically unplayable. Most are saying the amount of content in the EA version is that of a free demo and they wouldn't want to spend more than $20-$30 at its current state. Even with the promise of future updates being free.

But no every time you bring this up, their cultish following will either:

Bring up how the sims is worse. Which like. Maybe yeah but that doesn’t make this magically better? Both are companies ripping off their player base with the promise of improving things in the future. Yeah Paralives is saying that we won't have to pay for DLC, but the game is not guaranteed to get better just because they said so and I don’t trust them to keep their word that the game will get better when it's as rough as it is at the current price which will increase as things get fixed.

Tell you "nobody is forcing you to buy it" as if that has any grounds in an argument at all. Nobody is forcing anyone to do anything.

Insult you and claim that you shouldn't be buying games if you can't afford them and that entertainment is a luxury. Which is a take for sure.

I'm just tired and it sucks to see corporate greed win again.

project hail mary is a fantastic movie that genuinely has me staring at the ceiling at like 2 am. god. its the concept of dying so others can live. what if the sacrificial lamb was there the whole time and taught the butcher how to build the slaughterhouse. what if the lamb was dragged there kicking and screaming and was told that it was dispensable because it had no one, not a family or a lover or even a dog and what if the lamb said that it just wanted to live. isnt that enough? isnt wanting to live enough? what if the lamb woke up alone and afraid but remembered enough about living and love to place his head on the chopping block anyway. and most importantly, what if the butcher wasnt a butcher but just the shepherd trying to save the rest of the flock

I hate the internets fucked up ability to miss the point

the youtuber/streamer Sykkuno is “being cancelled” because he got outed for allegedly cheating on his girlfriend. Thats all people are saying and it makes me so angry, because thats just the start of the problem, and in my opinion is already bad.

What really happened is a 34 year old man with power as a very popular creator and also as someone who was 15 years older then the main woman who spoke out against him, put on a fake persona of being wholesome and nice in his content to attract a primarily woman audience. He then turned around and showered young woman (multiple at a time) who were trying to grow as content creators with a LOT of money (hundreds of dollars) and attention in order to have a sexual relationship with them, all while having a long term girlfriend who reportedly no one knew about. Not even his streamer friends/roommates

“they went to him first” it was his responsibility as both the older man, and technically celebrity to ignore them, or tell them he was not interested

“it wasnt with minors” your bar is in hell. raise it

“the victim who came out was telling him in a call that she still cares about him when they last talked” thats how manipulation works, and also a normal hope that someone has the ability to change. Have you never loved/had a crush on someone who you shouldnt.

Hey everyone! I wanted to post a quick update about my kofi page! I started my kofi page while going through a major art slump to try and encourage myself to keep drawing. It worked somewhat, and it helped me with Dewey's medical emergency from a while back. But really it just collected dust and it's time to revamp it. I'm hopefully moving soon, and so I have a goal set up on my page at the moment. I'm proud to say that I am loving art again! And I'm excited to move forward into this new era of my art.

Something P5R doesn't properly convey is just how FAR Kichijoji is from Leblanc. This is what the travel time looks like from Sangenjaya to Kichijoji: a minimum 2-hour commute going back and forth, plus the time spent walking. Akechi is also an evening confidant, which is when there are peak crowds. And Joker still has to wake up early for school the next day. So the next time you play, remember that Joker is so down bad he's willing to do all this just to see his rival
