I just had a random shenanigans idea...

Now hear me out.

You know those murder mystery parties right? The ones where people get together, an actor plays dead, and the groups have to figure out who did it.

Well what if.

Danny takes a summer job as the body/actor of the victim for those parties and actually is commented on being the best 'very lifelike dead body' actor and hey at least his 'medical condition' (halfa) is finally being useful for something (besides you know, fighting ghosts) he can even go hours without moving (or breathing) once he's dead so he doesn't ruin the immersion for party goers.

Anyways, what if he gets a job for a rich people's party, you know something novelty for the wealthy to have fun with, maybe it's the Wayne's hosting a party or maybe someone else and they invite the Wayne's. And the company he works for sends him to Gotham. He gets there, helps set up the clues and the other actors, etc etc.

Then the guests start showing up, Danny acts like the star of the show he is and then the lights cut out, he screams (very realistically), and 'dies' before the lights come back on. As some players come up to inspect his body however he doesn't notice how some take his pulse and actually fully think he's dead.

Point being, Danny is the 'dead' body for the murder mystery, goes to Gotham for a gig, 'dies' and the batfam think they have a legit murder happening.

Ooooh ooooooooooh the shenanigans, the pure chaos.

Danny duplicating himself and making it as fun as possible by turning it spooky and leaving clues that definitely weren't there last time people checked. He doesn't even hide it from his co-workers either, they think his powers are meta abilities and they dont complain because he does such a good job they get paid well.

Also why can I just see that before the whole show is over, someone (one of the bats) finds Danny taking a small food break on the roof and they just... stare at each other while Danny slowly chews his food (he's nervous cause he's not supposed to be seen until the show is over)

Danny just freezes for a second and then dramatically falls into a 'dead' position. And the bat has the sudden realisation. That oh. Oh! He's a meta. Using his power to do his job. Ok. Cool...... Ya know what? They aren't gonna tell anyone. It will be much more amusing to see the rest freak out later. They leave the poor guy to his lunch break and get back to the party.

It's a Wayne gala right? I don't think that Bruce (or any of the Batfam) would be able to slip out unnoticed to be Batman (and so on), so they have this case that they have to finish pronto while being Brucie and whatever facade the Batfam have, since this might be a prank from whatever guest they got (I'm eyeing Sam Manson specifically, since while she might be here not of her own will, she should be able to have fun with it; initial target is ofc her parents, but if she manage to get the other Rich Ppl, that's a bonus).

While Danny being asleep playing dead being a corpse, we have Detective Brucie being Brucie. I'm talking about Kogoro Mouri (from Detective Conan) level of competence. With so many of the goofiness.

What if we threw Shinichi in there just for shits and giggles, and Brucie Wayne also has to make sure this foreign detective from abroad doesn't find the Batclan out.

okay so most of these paragraphs are a little bit of set up before the scene for which variation of the detective conan fanon is in use.

Lets say its a Pre Cure, post Kaito Kid friending, post Black Org destroyed Shinichi.

So Conan sees this really dumb Brucie Wayne, and is watching 'Shinichi'(Kaito) to make sure he doesn't start Patronizing the Waynes as Kaito visits the Suzuki's.

Kogouro is back in Japan studying, and Ran knows the truth and is fully broken up with Shinichi. Which is part of why Conan and "Shinichi" are abroad while Ai cooks up a cure with her original research.

Conan is not sure if he really wants to grow up/be cured yet, and is no longer 7, you heard it, the boy wonder aged, he is 10! Prime Wayne adoption Bait. "Shinichi" is taking him around the world since his parents are busy(Kaito is rendevous with other theives and networking, he's meeting Catwoman and knows her identity).

Conan isn't quite so lawful anymore. Those years of lying broke his lawful Alignment. He is now chaotic good and trying to reign in Kaito KID.

Kaito has... new enemies. And also new sponsers, he may or may not be legally stealing and recruiting qualified stage hands(catwoman) for future heists(gifts from Suzuki family and other fans, but only allowed to take it if its stolen with a show). But he needed to be "Shinichi" to get in the door of some prestigious places. Kaito is better at networking than Shinichi ever was. This is with the Kudo family blessing/and pranks.

SCENE below

Shinichi glares at Conan, as they explore the buffet. "I thought you said you broke the Shinichigami curse..." Shinichi grabs Conan by the bicep and stalks over to the dead body. "Clear the scene, my apprentice will check for a pulse. Hopefully this is only the promised entertainment, although I can't say you have good taste."

Shinichi sets out, whipping caution tape from who knows where and sectioning away the tables near where the man had fallen. With a ribbon dance, the area around the man was sectioned off and any wayward guests were spun away. If they resisted they landed in food.

Conan has gloves on when he announces there isn't a pulse, then Conan begins bagging the man's food and silverware in individual evidence bags.

'Shinichi' notices several people look quite twitchy at this turn of events, and mentally marks the servers and servants who scurried away or panicked, as well as the hosts glint of sharp eyes and then immediate trip over his own feet and into the arms of ...Selena.

"Does anyone know the victim? While I was serving myself dessert I remember he introduced himself as Fenton. Aren't they stage prop designers for Ghostbusters?" 'Shinichi' sharply turns toward Brucie Wayne, and takes his hand and lifts him out of his false faint, smirking, "Does anyone else have information, such as who invited him?"

Brucie Wayne swoons for real this time, but Selena is no where to be seen so Shinichi princess carried him onto a nearby table.

The Murder Mystery Party is run by Team Phantom and there allies.

Conan determines Sam Manson is the killer. She wanted to kill her (ex?) boyfriend Danny because her parents threatened to take her out of the will if she didn’t end things with him. (Her parents actually did threaten Sam to break up with Danny and Tucker but she doesn’t care)

Conan is forced to drug Brucie to reveal the culprit. Unfortunately for him Bruce is immune to the stun gun watch due to his training/amount of times Talia drugged him with love. Now Conan is suspicious of Bruce.

Selena is the one who arranged the Murder Mystery Party with Lucius and Alfred’s blessing as a surprise for Bruce. When she found out about ‘Shinichi’ and Conan she had to add them to the guest list for the chaos.

Kaito ans Selena are busy stealing the twinkling cat pendant from each other. Back and forth. Until there's 1 real and 4 fake ones circulating in the room. Both firmly believe that the other one has the real one.

Danny is currently laying on the floor, playing dead, while listening to a history podcast. Hearing other peoples dedectiving about your assumed murdering is occasionally nice. But after a few hours of nothing happening? Boring

Tim listens to the same podcast. He's CONVINCED that this is a hint to the mystery. He's not had enough coffee yet to differentiate between the two murder mystery cases. Reality is fake anyway.

Damian, the only one who's seen the body actor move to get more comfortable, believes that everyone knows this is only a game and doesn't see a reason to tell the others. He is having fun solving riddles without threats of dead. He has decided to take the tiny child detective under his wing.

Conan/Shinichi can't seem to get away from Damian Wayne. He really wants to ask the suspects innocent questions. But that boy is dragging him around trying to solve the fake murder mystery. And Kaito kid is definitely laughing at him

Could I spice things up a bit?

Danny has, in canon, been able to shake off the effects of ghost attacking mind control cast by a Ghost or by a human with an artifact. Even did so in some of the old games. Either because of his human half, or because of being pressed against his morals. You can even replace that with Obsession, for the fandom side.

At 14 and dead for maybe a few months. Still developing new powers and struggling with the old ones.

Now?

Danny was raised for who knows how long with the Fenton's. At least before Damian went to Gotham on his tenth birthday? And they're probably the same age. So at least 5 years before Danny even got into the Portal, he was 'human-raised' with the Fenton's. Even with amnesia, Danny would have the muscle memory. And was raised after the LOA by Maddie, who knows martial arts. Maddie and Jack are super geniuses. Jasmine is also a fucking genius. Danny is his own type of genius as well.

An assassin, super genius, paranormal hunter, turned part time Ghost. And now a part of the Justice League Dark, probably. As an ally at least.

The only thing that could probably get Danny at this point is Blood Blossoms. Team Phantom has delt with that before as well.

Damian would have to either lure Danny in and then trap him, or go completely off the deep end.

Not to even mention if this was Ghost Prince Phantom.

But you also gotta remember this is Damian we're talking about, an unhinged Damian whose ruthless (like his mother) and intelligent (from not just Talia but Bruce/Batman a man with a way to contingencies for all the JL, well all but WW) he would study, find history of the past mind controls, and how Blood Blossoms effect Danny in human and ghost form, and Damian would adjust his plans accordingly. He also would have access to higher and more powerful mind control items than say Freakshow had because Ra's al Ghul would be the type to have something in the LOA to control powerful ghosts if he needed it to be.

Now if we run with amnesia Danny, I can totally see Damain trying to trap Danny into trusting him. He channels his mother's honey talks to lure Danny to his side. Easy snapping the trap, less fuss.

If not... ohhhh boy. He'll have to make sure Danny doesnt find out Damain deflected back to the LOA. Maybe pretends hes still under his father's guidance and lies that hes trying to be a better person now. Danny doesnt trust of course but maybe he will if he logistics that maybe Damian is trying to turn over a new leaf and is just trying to form an actual friendship with him (remember Danny was raised in this au to be loyal to Damain since birth that kind of conditioning doesnt just go away even after years apart)

Or we can go with completely off the deep end Damain who just wants what's his back and basicly creates a Blood Blossom drug like thing, not enough to cause terrible pain but enough to weaken Danny and add a ghost mind control item into the mix Damian would be ruthless and swift.

If Danny has no memories, and the Bat Family isn't too sure what Damian is doing other than he left, Damian could easily play that he's a fellow vigilante that just wants to help. The Bat Family eventually seeing their most violent bird become softer and more caring towards a partner on the field would be interesting. But a Damian who has learned how to woo a partner on both sides of his family, and applying it? Especially if Ghost culture actually advocates for a more obsessive love? If he was actually smart about this, has enough patience, and actually decided to learn what was going on?

He could easily manipulate everyone involved, eventually.

I mean, a Danny with no memories? Would probably make everything easier. Ghost instincts say that protecting a Protector Spirit is flirting? Damian protecting Phantom's territory and both sides of his people, while fighting the latest bad guy?

Danny would probably give Damian weapons.

Would probably tell Damian about his Grave, and how he can't leave or his Soul would slowly collapse. How Danny has to protect, as it is a part of him. As is space, but he's a Halfa and can go to space any time he wants now.

Danny Fenton is an open book. He's compassionate and soft. Usually things Damian would hate. But on Danny? They're giving him cuteness aggression.

The only thing that could fuck it up is Damian himself. Or the Bat Family rolling in on their lost bird they thought was going to be a villain.

Damian's plans are delicate should the Bat Family show up, he has to make sure they don't ruin his chance at gaining Danny's full trust, love, and loyalty. He already has to tread lightly around Jasmine who seems to have picked up something is 'off' about him, especially after she found out Danny gave Damian weapons that could harm him. (I personally like to think Jazz has a small distrust of Damian, he could just get rid of her but he knows how much Danny loves his adopted sister. Also its VLAD who really doesn't like/trust Damian, but Damian knows he doesn't have to win over the fruitloop cause no one cares what he thinks)

But I have a feeling if Damian (whose a bit unhinged towards Danny) has to bring out the big guns to both distract the Bats long enough for him to really gain Danny's trust, he'd probably set something up using the GIW as a common enemy. After all, saving what is his from their grasp would be favorable for his plans wouldn't it?

TimBer and with a deaged Danny in the mix.

Basically parents Tim and Bernard lol.

So Bernard has family outside of Gotham to a place called Amity Park (Cousin Star? Sam? Her parents are blonde. Wes?) and hasn't heard from them for a while because maybe they don't like the fact Bernard is dating a guy? (they probably wouldn't make too much of a fuss if they knew it was The Tim Drake but still)

Point is Bernard hasn't heard from that side of his family for a while.

So he is surprised when he get a call from an unknown number and its from his cousin, calling him in a panic about something, something about needing help and they need to hide someone named Phantom and Gotham is perfect.

Bernard goes to the meeting spot his cousin and him agree to meet at and before he can ask any real questions he is suddenly given papers (information packet and fake adoption papers by someone named TechoPharaoh), a toddler bag, and a blue eyed black haired sleeping toddler.

His cousin leaves saying something about getting the GIW off the trail of Phantom.

Tim returns from a mission in space a few days later to finding a toddler playing on the floor in his and Bernard's place

Bernard meanwhile created a conspiracy board with red strings and things connecting to Amity Park, Fenton Works, Danny Fenton, and Phantom.

"T... You might wanna call the League about this..." is all Bernard says as he looks sick and casts a glance at the anti-Ecto acts.

Another DPxDC idea I have cooking up. Dead Tired idea btw.

Tim, while snooping in his parents artifacts from their recent archeology trip, finds a rather strange and small hidden hourglass, curiosity and knowing his parents haven't noticed it he takes it.

He turns it in his hands when he knows his parents are out at a Gala for the night and fiddles with it. He twists it three times and it suddenly glows.

Tim is then hit with a small vision of a future, one where he see's himself following Batman, and the newest member of the growing Bat Team Robin, on the rooftops with a camera he's had his eye on for a while.

Tim is suddenly back in his room just as quickly and is in shock, he looks at the small hourglass for a moment and questions what the heck was that about? Was what he saw... real?

Turns out it is when his parents are leaving for a new dig sight and gave him that very new camera as a apology gift for going to be missing his upcoming birthday.

He fiddles with the tiny hourglass afterwords, tries to figure it out but it doesn't shine for him or show him the future again...Or at least until the second Robin dies and Tim is hit by a vision of him trying to ask Dick, the first Robin, to return to a escalating violent Batman and stop him from going pass his own 'no kill' rule.

After that it randomly works, helped him find out about Kon aka Superboy, create Young Justice, collect his ride or die friends/teammates, survive some of Damian's more deadly murder attempts in the beginning, etc etc. It was also the reason why he knew for damn sure Bruce was alive and just lost in the time stream. (The hourglass actually seemed to had hummed like a buzzing muted cellphone when it showed him that future) All in all it seems to show important/sometimes dangerous situations only.

Tim keeps this hourglass a secret btw, he knows he should maybe mention it at some point and maybe get it checked out by JLD to make sure its not gonna like kill him later or it steals his life force for each future sight or something along those lines, but it hasn't steered him wrong so far, its been very helpful! (granted he wished it showed him Jason coming back to life, that would had help clear up a lot of bullshit or something like that)

Anyways, so yeah Tim keeps it a huge secret but he does carry it on himself just in case.

So he isn't too surprised when it actives when a new member is joining JL. He is however surprised when he see's himself and the new guy (or rather the new guy in inverted colors) in domestic bliss, like full on husbands and happy with a glowing green dog. Tim is pulled out of the vision and blinks, trying his hardest not to blush when the new guy Phantom zero's on him.

He watches as Phantom stare's and tilts his head to the side before saying "Oh so you're one of the few people who has Clockworks favor. Neat. Names Phantom, nice to meet you."

I really want Tim to have seen his parents graves as a test.

Tim knows about self fulfilling prophecies. He's read mythology. He simply works to make sure they're as safe as possible.

They do die anyway. He doesn't get angry. He accepts that he couldn't change it.

Clockwork smiles. He's perfect.

Again I love the idea of Clockwork favoring Tim, cause not only did Tim figure out the time stream and how to bring someone out of it without basically destabilizing it (cause lets be real, Bruce was being jumped to different times, that is bond to hard to pinpoint let alone to take him OUT of being pulled into different times is undoubtedly hard to do) but Tim would be a person who would try to nudge the will of Time itself, like how CW did with Danny, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And Tim takes the loss when it doesn't, yes he's upset and sad but he's not like full on anger at the world upset, he accepts it was one of the few things he can't change.

That TIME itself can be nudged in directions, some things can be changed but others can't. That once it happens though, Tim begrudgingly respects it. (I also have like a personal headcanon sometimes that because of how favored Tim is, that sometimes he is picked as CW's apprentice)

Tim as Clockwork's apprentice because Danny is the future ancient of Space perchance?

It's destiny. Clockwork was always meant to find the reborn ancient of Space and guide his path, but they're out of balance. A new time must rise with the new Space, to reforge the bond between their domains, as equals.

Danny won't be happy when Clockwork takes Death's hand willingly, but

All is as it should be.

Ugh its so bittersweet.

Danny and Tim are happily together thanks to Clockwork but once its known its because CW will have to fade soonish (he's still got Time, mostly enough to teach Tim his future role) because he no longer can fit into the SPACE of the new cycle anymore. He is Out of Time, without his version of Space to keep him going.

Wait. Oh, oh I had an idea.

What if, because Danny is the reborn/new Ancient of Space whose only the tiniest shard of that old being so not really them anymore more like a branch of a dying tree that was grafted off, what if the Ancient of Space was once Pariah Dark. Like before he was turned into a tyrant. He did mange to pull all of Amity Park from one space into another without most his artifacts, omg maybe THAT is why the Observants wanted him dead besides going Dark Dan, they could see the resemblance (even if they don't realize the whole truth) and in order to make sure the bond is stable, CW sends out a tiny piece of himself into the living realm and it became Tim. So much like Danny, Tim is technically the reborn version of himself but also not? Again like grafting a tree branch.

If not, maybe Pariah Dark killed off the Ancient of Space or something like that.

Ugh I can just image the goodbye, CW watching them both as he fading, they both crying and CW just says to Tim and Danny

"Do not weep for this Out of Time being for all is at it should be and soon all it will be. A new cycle begins, cherish every second of it together."

If Pariah is the old Ancient of Space become something else, something wrong, due to corruption, maybe his powers were forced into the cycle by Clockwork, breaking his own bond with his brother before locking the hollow, mad shadow away.

He waited for ages and ages for space to be reborn, the fragment of himself from the breaking of the bond also finding his heir.

He's careful. He has to conserve his strength incase the incarnation goes wrong.

...

Danny knows Clockwork is broken. He can feel it. But Tim is so interesting and Clockwork encourages them to spend as much time as possible together.

Tim shows up and says Clockwork wants to see them.

Clockwork is pale, colorless, on a large bed. He feels properly old. "I'm sorry my boy, I guess I don't have as much time as I thought..."

He coughs Hollowly, alarmingly, a power surge rips through Tim. Shadows are gathering darker and darker. "Oh, dear Lady, I'm tired."

The shadows under the covers cling to Clockwork's colorless body, eating. The boys are frozen in horror.

With a final deep breath, Clockwork barely audibly whispers. "All is as it should be."

The room goes dark, and they're floating in the void of the realms. The only sign left is the pocket watch from Clockwork's hollow, scarred eye socket, shrunk down to their size.

Danny clings to Tim, bursting into heaving sobs.

The boys cry and hold onto each other, even as they feel the Space around them ripple to a hault and the Time seems to even stop even in the Infinite Realms. They don't let go as power surges like none before into them. They don't let go as they are hit by it and seem to just know things now. They don't let go when every connected Realm is notified of the beginning new cycle of Time and Space. They don't let go when Time begins to tick and Space is opening up again.

They only barely let go when someone, a fellow Ancient and one of only ghosts/beings not scared off by the shift of pure powers that were only below Life and Death, comes to find them. And gently mutters how it was about time the old Ancient could finally rest, they then as gently as they could be take the boys away from the space where Clockworks Tower had once been.

For now they will allow the boys to grieve, to celebrate a new cycle, new beginnings, new realms to be born, new souls and spirits to be created, will have to wait.

Life shows up in the wake of her twin's shadows, a brilliant "biblically accurate" angel her current form, silently bidding her other half well.

She calls out the mourning song to the multiverse. She gathers the boys to the current incarnation of her nest, a sunny island in an endless warm sea.

Mourn o endless infinity. An old age has ended. Rejoice o endless infinity. A new age arises. The dance begins again.

(ugh that right there is so good! This is so bittersweet I love it.)

It takes a while for the boys to finish their grievance but they at least have each other and when they connect, figure out, why Clockwork had ended they sadly understand and know if they were to have been in his place they too would had done it that way.

The price of being something as powerful as Time and Space is understanding and making choices to it.

Ok but slightly taking away from the angst, being chosen by clockwork is why Tim couldn't go past 17, you could even say it was that time had to shift around Tim so he would not exceed that age, because his time had to stay synced with Danny's, so they could be together til the end of their cycle, that or even just a subconscious use of power he wasn't even aware of having allowing him to see into the iterations of the timeline and world,
