Yo~ This is my primary blog, and is mostly reblogs of whatever I find amusing or relate to. Links and other info about me on my 'About me' page (sorry no mobile link to that). Stay frosty, my friends o3o
Putting this out there on this platform because I don't use other social media~!
I'm an NA Fate/Grand Order player looking for people who have specific Craft Essences that I can add as a friend, then run a node with so I can register them in my CE Spirit Origin library, then unfriend. This is open ended!
I am mostly looking for Portrait CEs and CE EXP Cards! I know how rare the latter is in particular, which is why I'm making this post. There are also some event CEs I'm looking for, so if you have the time or inclination, please take a gander.
I'll do my best to keep this list up to date for what I need. Without further ado, the list shall be below the cut, with ID numbers for the CEs and their names.
2058. Asclepius 2080. Takasugi 2081. Takeda Shingen 2084. Cnoc na Riabh 2098. Hassan of the Shining Star
Thank you very much for taking the time to scroll down this far! If you have any CEs listed above, please feel free to leave your FGO ID in the replies or DM me, whichever you feel more comfortable with! Of course, I also have some CEs and if you're looking for any in particular, feel free to reach out!
I will be actively updating this list as I fill these out.
help a guy and his dog take the final leap to escape an abusive household
hi. this is my first time making a post like this, so i'm not really sure where to begin.
may 2025, i graduated from college. in the year since, i have been living with my mother, acting as her housekeeper, emotional sponge, and verbal punching bag. i am not allowed outside without her supervision, not even to walk my dog in our neighborhood. what meager savings i had from working while i was in school have been completely eaten up, and as you might imagine, i have been unable to get a job since coming home on account of the whole "not allowed outside" thing. my life has operated entirely at her whims and desires. i am in the midst of a loss of personhood i would not wish on anyone.
on the bright side, i'm almost out. over this past year my sister has been helping me save enough to move out, and after months of searching i've finally found an apartment in a queer-friendly city that i can afford, and accepts large dogs. i've even been fortunate enough to find a job willing to hold a position for me until i can move. the only trouble is, i've only got enough for the initial deposit and first month's rent. because of how soon i'll be moving (early august), i haven't had any time to build up a buffer for emergencies or even basic essentials. any non-perishables or furniture i could have carried over from my time in dorms, i've been forced to dump because of my mother. my only sources of money right now are my sister's grace and scraping together what i can from selling my possessions online. and i've exhausted both.
i will take anything. i wish i could put together a concrete estimate. my initial saving goal was 5k, and right now i only have about half to put towards the apartment. in an ideal world that remaining 2k would fall into my lap in the next few weeks, but i know that's just not possible. achieving even half that, a quarter of that, would be amazing. everything is hard right now, i understand. but if you can swing it, if you know anyone else who can, all i ask is please. i just need this one last push, and we'll finally be okay.
It's part of a package called the KIDS Act, filled with digital ID and age verification and censorship!
MAKE THOSE PHONES RING!! CALL YOUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES ALL WEEK
202-224-3121
i HIGHLY encourage everyone to read the bills in the KIDS Act, because you will be doing more than 95% of people who read and introduce these bills
as a regular donor to Gaza Soup Kitchen I get their email updates, and they said today that while they've continued to be able to expand, donations are slowing down as Gaza gets less coverage. If you have a few dollars to spare, I encourage you to send them here to continue the amazing work that Hani and his team are doing.
holy shit okay may have found a game-changer for web searches...with duckduckgo it's easy to turn off the ai features permanently, but regardless of engine there's the increasing problem of the search results themselves leading mostly to ai-generated articles on random ghost websites that say a lot without any information, and then the information they do give is contradictory or otherwise just wrong. this is especially a problem for me when trying to search for, e.g., a current list of the best products in a certain category.
finally searched for a solution and there IS in fact a giant hand-curated list of sites containing this content. it can be imported to ublock origin on desktop or mobile, and even can be used on iOS via the ublacklist extension in the safari app. it's updated regularly, and importing via the link as described should allow those updates to go into effect automatically.
i've only tested it a little bit, but after importing the list and repeating my duckduckgo search for backpack recommendations, my top results now lead to websites that appear to be linked to actual organizations in some form, with an "about us" page and the name of a founder and everything. the text is still often a bit wordy and SEO-optimized, but it now has actual recommendations that are relevant to the query. BIG IF TRUE???
please do not start talking about The Definition Of Art on this post, or Whether Human Creations Have Souls. i am very tired.
My financial situation has gotten kinda bad in the last weeks (too many bills with basically no income lol), so I'm doing a 50% sale on my 3D Render & Animation services on my VGen (Link)
OKAY CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THE FUCK YOU SHIP A PACKAGE OF COOKIES TO A FRIEND WHO LIVES IN NEW JERSEY, ONLY TO HAVE IT NOT GET THERE ON TIME BECAUSE IT SOMEHOW ENDED UP IN GUAM?
SO FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES, @homebeccer @phantomrose96 @cupcakecreeper AND I WANTED TO KNOW HOW MUCH IT WOULD ACTUALLY COST THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO INTENTIONALLY SEND THESE COOKIES FROM TEXAS TO GUAM TO NEW JERSEY AND???????????????
AND
IT’S
IT’S
IT’S NOT AN OPTION IT’S NOT AN OPTION I CAN’T I-
I COULDN’T EVEN HAVE SENT THESE COOKIES TO GUAM EVEN IF I’D HAVE TRIED
Ok I know this is super old now but I work at a post office and I was curious about the price so I did some digging and I still don’t have a definite answer because THE REASON it says “no shipping services available” is because all shipping services were actually suspended to Guam at the time. As in no packages, parcels, letters, or mail or any kind could be sent to Guam. So not only is it mind boggling that it got sent so far in the wrong direction of its intended destination, but because nothing should have been able to get in to Guam period.
You QUITE LITERALLY could not have sent these cookies to Guam if you tried.
are you in the possession of a blorbo, a silly little guy, or creacher of some other persuasion? I am reopening character doodle c0mms, 10 us dabloons per figure! the ffxiv crowd loves these things
In light of recent events, I have begun submitting bug reports when I see mature content labels applied inappropriately to posts, especially if an appeal has been rejected.
for what it's worth: after a few months of submitting help tickets as 'feedback' when i saw a post inappropriately flagged as mature, i tried following this suggestion instead. today i got my first-ever response from tumblr support on this issue, letting me know that a post i'd submitted a ticket before has had its mature content flag removed.
This is legitimately brilliant. Bug burndown reports (the rate at which your software team can close bugs) is a major metric for most software houses.
It takes an extra step in our part, but this is part of what makes it effective. It's not one click, one reblog activism and it hits them where they care: their damn KPIs.
I think the thing that annoys me most about AI on a personal, day to day, level is what it has done to grammar checkers. If you've never done a lot of editing, or used to 5+ years ago but haven't really in the last couple years, I can't even begin to describe how fucking BAD this shit has gotten. And as an author it is EXHAUSTING.
I just want to catch spelling errors and accidental double spaces and repeated phrases and whenever I use the wrong too/to or affect/effect and shit. But no. They've shoved AI up the ass of every grammar checking software out there and now they all fucking suck and make the most random, obnoxious, nonsensical suggestions.
And yeah, I can ignore all the times it's trying to get me to cut out any semblance of my own voice, or shove things into the wrong tense, or make the most random suggestions on comma usage. But if it's getting all that WRONG, what is it just straight up missing that I SHOULD be correcting? What real spelling and grammar errors are still lurking in there?
I get why people keep saying this (and other versions of it like "Use Adobe alternatives" and "Use Google product alternatives."). But here's the problem: I do not create in isolation. Even my own 100% personal projects are getting sent to other people whether it's editors or printers or beta readers and unless every single person in that train is using the same products, things can get wonky.
Libre Office and Word handle formatting differently on the back end, which can completely break documents if you move them back and forth between the two. So if I write in Libre Office but my beta readers are still using Word, when I send them a manuscript for review there's a good chance things won't look right and my beta reader will not actually be reviewing what I sent them.
Industry standards are industry standards FOR A REASON. Having everyone on the same workflow can be crucial to getting things done effectively and correctly without creating a lot of extra work. And those things are not going to change overnight, as much as we might want them to.
Yeah, Word, let me just leave this whole chunk of dialogue without the closing quotation marks. That's the thing to do. How dare I have two punctuation marks in a row. It's not like that's how closing quotation marks fucking work.
And you know, for young writers, this has got to be so detrimental just from the perspective of opening your document and seeing a million corrections that, frankly, don't need to be there. If you're a young writer you're likely not going to have the background knowledge to know what is and isn't a good suggestion, you're just going to see a document that makes it look like you made every mistake possible so clearly you must be a terrible, stupid writer and should just give up.
