Hello, Back again with some art. This time, I'll be releasing #fanmade art from #Natlan.

Local Regional Specialty: Natlan Edition part 1 1) Chak Lool (Commonly found among shrubs in groups of 2 or three) A resilient flower whose shrubs grow amidst fertile, volcanic soil. The deep red crimson petals are said to evoke the very lava that runs beneath all of Natlan, thus making this flower a symbol of the land itself. 2) Mayahuel (Commonly found growing in open fields. Can harvest 3 leaves per plant) This fleshy leaf has spines lining its edge, evoking the image of a serrated blade. During times of droughts, the succulent juices provide the necessary nourishment to last until rainfall.

A gigantic Dendro Slime that has attuned to the corrupted Ley Lines within Sumeru.

Countless saplings and buds fall off the mother branch. It's nest forever filled with toxic pollen and spores.

Due to how in sync it is with the Dendro Energy of the area, it can command nearby Dendro Slimes to wallop and outnumber its prey. However, it can be said that each Dendro Slime that spawns off of the Queen is an extension of herself, and thus promulgating her will unto unaware travelers.

Welcome to Sumeru, the City of Scholars. Here, we value knowledge above all else. Even above our own god! Pardon if it seems heretical, but they insist that it must be so. After all, knowledge is the greatest commodity in Sumeru, and the God of Wisdom has many tales to tell.

Please excuse my poorly drawn Dendro Symbol. If anyone can fix that for me, you have my eternal thanks. I tried to incorporate both Egyptian and Indian art into the emblem (the Indian Lotus symbols are obvious, the Egyptian Papyrus, not so much) The structure depicted is a very simplified depiction of a mishmash of things: Ziggurats/Taj Mahal/Tower of Babel.

TEACHINGS OF LIFE:

Life is the lesson in the Nation of Dendro.

The profundity of life thus says, even amidst barrenness lay a spring welling with life. To suppose that what is barren can never give life is an ignorance that ultimately leads to the true demise of all things.

GUIDE TO LIFE:

Life is the lesson in the Nation of Dendro.

The obstinacy of life thus reveals, even within a realm of death resides the will to live, and to survive. Therefore we must ask: is death, in it’s own way, a propagator of life?

PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE:

Life is the lesson in the Nation of Dendro.

The meaning of life thus asks us, when does one’s life end, and another’s begin? If death is not truly the end of life, but merely its companion, then all life is one and the same. There is no death, there is no end, but merely a cycle.

Fanmade Weapon Ascension Materials for Genshin Impact. These badboys are found in Sumeru, and are based on Ankhs (the protective properties, as well as the fertility symbolism behind them).

PROTECTIVE ANKH OF SHIELDING: This relic contains faint energy that absorbed a particularly devastating blast. Though it wasn’t enough to protect its previous owner, the bit of energy it absorbed can be used by clever alchemists and curious scholars.

BLESSED ANKH OF FORTITUDE: The rituals of priests and kings often involved the use of protective ankhs. What they were used for was kept secret, but one can speculate: these rituals often involved the sacrifice of mortality. Therefore, these relics may have been used to bolster the defense of the ritualists, to ward against harm and malice.

ROYAL ANKH OF ENDURANCE: When Sumeru was ruled by a dynastic family, kings would wear these relics to protect themselves against any harmful elements. When scholars and philosophers overthrew the king’s rule, all of their ankhs were stashed away by zealous loyalists in the dark tombs beneath Sumeru.

DIVINE ANKH OF REBIRTH: A personal gift from the Dendro Archon of old, only the Great Prophets held access to these ankhs. It is said that the secrets to immortality were whispered by the God of Life into these very relics, causing them to be glowing with divinity, as if life energy is spilling out of its confines.

My fanmade Talent Level Up Materials for Genshin Impact. (WIP) TEACHINGS OF FAITH: Faith is the haven in the land of Dendro.

In the scorching heat of the desert, the bough of the fig tree provides momentary respite. And in that fleeting moment of haven, we liken our hands to the branches of our salvation, we offer alms, we offer adjudication. Thus, a new word was born: faith. GUIDE TO FAITH: Faith is the haven in the land of Dendro.

Be warned of the promise of salvation and faith: those who linger too long under the fig tree are safe from the sun’s light, but not its gaze. Faith offers a promise, but not a solution. The promise of night, the promise of rest, and the promise that the sun will rise again. PHILOSOPHY OF FAITH: Faith is the haven in the land of Dendro.

Nevertheless, the illusion of salvation is a promise for yet another tomorrow. Faith pushes one onward to paradise. Remain vigilant, for a promise will only remain so without action - lies and mistrust can easily blend into the mirage of resolve and preservation.

My fanmade Weapon Ascension Materials for Genshin Impact. These are based off of Kalashas, which are sacred pots used in many South Asian ceremonies. It is often depicted topped off with leaves and fruits (often the Coconut), and is believed to be a symbol for abundance and the source of life. KALASHA OF THE SEEDLING: Kalashas have appeared in written records as far back as 2000 years ago. The people of Ancient Sumeru would gather silt deposited by springs from the Holy Banyan Tree, and mold them into containers that often held the seedlings of the Great Tree. This blessed Kalasha eventually became common iconography on many banners, where it is often depicted nursing all manner of flora. KALASHA OF GROWING SPROUT: Blessed Kalashas often held significant importance within domestic life. Often passed as family heirlooms, one could say that these containers who carried generations of seedlings were witnesses to history. When a growing sprout gets too big for its Kalasha, it is then transferred to a family-owned grove, maintained by all manners of servants, spirits, and djinns. KALASHA OF EMERALD GROVE: Enki, King of the Emerald Grove, was a djinn tasked with the protection of the Sacred Grove of the Dendro Archon. It is within this garden that the God of Woods carved theories and laws that would eventually become the foundation of the Academy. Yet tucked away in a corner, away from prying eyes, are seven names, each written in a script known only to those closest to the god.

Enki knows the answer yet refuses to speak, for he was cursed with unending knowledge that he cannot share with the rest of the world. KALASHA OF VERDANT THRONE: The Holy Banyan’s roots extend far beyond its holy shrine. Even in the deepest desert, groves of its seedlings nourish and thrive. It is from this Verdant Throne that the Dendro God of Life ruled. All of life is connected to the Banyan Tree, and through it he fashioned a unique system of ley lines that deposited life energy even deep among barren wasteland.

My fanmade Weapon Ascension Materials for Genshin Impact. These are based off of clay tablets, depicting what I am envisioning a Warrior-Poet who lived in ancient Sumeru (think Gilgamesh).

CLAY TABLET OF BLADE-POET’S STUDIES: Long ago there lived a legendary swordsman by the name of Ganapati. Though renowned for his masterful weaving of swords amid a field of felled bodies, he was more known for his craft of weaving logic into the annals of history.

SANDSTONE TABLET OF BLADE-POET’S PURSUITS: “To be strong in the fields of both war and words” were the unending dream of the warrior-poet. To this pursuit, he wrote treatises and codified laws of honor that honed his talents. His craft begat a myriad of false novellas that circulated the halls of academia. In this entangled mess, the original intent was lost in history.

EBONY TABLET OF BLADE-POET’S PRINCIPLES: Such is the beauty of the honor-bound sword; the delusion of ignorance does not rust its blade. Yet even Ganapati’s principles, laced with metaphor, can be misread by untrained eyes. He went into the abyss to conquer their enemies. A funny thing about texts, “war-ender” could mean the intent to end war through conquest and annihilation, or through diplomatic treatises and the promise of peace.

SOLAR TABLET OF BLADE-POET’S LEGACIES: “The unending legacies of war and peace have shaped the volumes of knowledge stored within the halls of Academia” , said the Warrior-Poet. The truth is far simpler than that, however. Those that aren’t etched in gold and glory found themselves molding and dusted. Alas, this is the fate of ill-remembered legacies. Talents, when left in wanton abandon, is a loss of precious wisdom.

Beware the Eye of the Dunes. The corporeal form of highly-granular Geo Energy. It forms when a domain pillar absorbs too much malaise ley line energy, causing its energy to destabilize. It harrows up a dust storm, each grain of sand obstructing vision and piercing skin, while its shield, still fresh with ley line energy, defends the core.

Fanmade Version of Sumeru Vision Holder/Container. Version 1 was inspired by Scarab Amulets. Version 2 incorporated a Pyramid-shape, the eye of Wadjet, and the image of a blooming blossom. WIP Version 3 will be modeled after the Dendro Element symbol. Feel free to use, reuse, remodel, etc. for your Sumeru Genshin OCs. Will be reposting with the third version, as well as more of the elements for easy copy-and-paste.

Another Genshin OC. Meet Seth, a mercenary/thief from Sumeru who specializes in using Swords. He wields the Geo Vision, hiding among Sands and creating Sand Clones to transform the battlefield into a raging Sandstorm.

“In Sumeru, you hone your wits and weapons to survive the desert. If you fail to adapt, the sands will swallow you whole.”

Seth leads the Desert Blades Clan, one of the many nomad clans in Sumeru. The Desert Blades Clan subsists by stealing from traders. They wander the desert, raiding tombs and domains, and selling any relic they find in exchange for food, water, and weapons.

So this is my first time giving this a go, so might as well. Presenting my Genshin Impact OC, Awi the Shark Rookie. 

The pride of strength resonates deep within the people of Natlan. And strength comes in many forms. To the Marauders, strength is determined by how much Mora you’ve plundered from naval traders. Any disagreements between two factions of Marauders are resolved by the Trial of the Sharks.

Awi had to live through old captains becoming drunk with power; time has not been kind to these men, as their senile senses dulled their strength. When Awi challenged his Captain, those loyal saw it as mutiny. Thus they threw Awi into the Shark Pit; if he had resolve, then Sharks would pose no threat.

However, even a young man like Awi became prey to the frenzy of sharks. When all hope seemed lost, his resolve came through. He deemed that the world should say goodbye to tradition. That even these old captains must be subject to the Shark’s jaws. And when the Sharks have deemed them guilty, the ultimate sentence must be delivered.

With his resolve renewed, Awi passed the Trial of Sharks. His old captain, however, was much more ill-fated. Awi delivers swift judgement to those old captains who dull their blades and senses. If the Marauders want to be feared, their strength must be backed by the harsh judgement of the sea.
