“ If this ball supposed to be fun? –– Cause I still don’t get the mask thing… It’s just annoying. ” Gideon complained. He usually wasn’t one to complain, but his mask really did annoy him, he just wanted to take it off.
"It's intended to be, I think the masks are supposed to be mysterious. I think everyone gets to take them off later," The masks certainly were not the most fun part but it could've been worse he supposed.

“i have not but if i see a blue cat i’ll be sure to let you know.” he is trying so hard not to question why the cat is blue but what else was to expect? it was hogwarts after all.
James was proud of himself and of course, of his fellow Gryffindors - everybody thought he’d calm down just because he’s the Head Boy? no way. “ if you’re not enjoying the party, it ain’t my fault….just saying to make sure everybody gets it. i’m not the ambassador of fun. although, i could be?”
