Wild onion and garlic scapes, beer battered and fried. This is some next level tasting stuff, and next to free if you go for a walk and look for Allium :) Credit to @spongiefan for cooking them, absolutely wonderful!
Artomyces pyxidatus "crowntip coral"
A common and beautiful spring mushroom in our woods, and edible as well :)

When I say "I'm just chilling at home"
This is what I mean:
It's currently negative 10 Fahrenheit where I live, so I'm looking back on photos of warmer days. Here are a few shots I took at Rock Island State Park back in 2018 while on vacation with @spongiefan while on our way to New Orleans.
I'm not sure how it looks now, but what a place to have been! There is no possible way to show the scale of this spot in photos, nor describe it in words. Simply put, it was breathtaking. The view of the night sky while camping was second to none as well, truly a wonderful place to have experienced.

Some tiny blue Mycena
The best spot in the world. Our own little urban getaway.
It's only mildly radioactive and covered in asbestos. A fair trade, I'd say 😆
Mayapples. The entire plant is toxic, aside from the ripe fruit. They are abundant in North America, and for the three days a year that the fruits are soft, yellow and slightly wrinkled, you'll want to give them a try. The most tropical flavor you can find in the midwest!
