two unbelievably frustrating things are true at once:

1. the amount of policywork to fix some of the things that desperately need fixing in this country (esp healthcare) is fucking astronomical, and it’s largely invisible work that either magically seems to get done or isn’t blamed when a political project fails without it

2. this work could asbolutely be done by willing stakeholders if anyone in power had a fucking spine or even a teaspoon of leadership ability
