Can you believe this Souptre goof! They forgot to edit out the soup grip! This establishing shot is only on screen for 0.5 seconds, but it is definitely a deliberate nod the long tradition of bond soup.
Ralph Fiennes wrote into his contract that he had to shoot every scene with his own cup’o’soup mug filled to the brim on hand.
‘My secret ingredient is no secret, it’s Capbell’s soup: delicious hot or cold.’ - James Bond, 1964
Daniel Craig indulging in yet another drive-by souping...
NEW BOND MOVIE AND CAST AND SOUP REVEALED
Glad to hear the exciting news that another bond film is in the pipeline - odd that soup is not in the title.
Monica Bellucci was revealed as the new Bond girl - her favourite soup is Carrot and Coriander
Daniel Craig will be acting James Bond and he will eat any soup going.
Austrian Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz will play the film's villain and the actor does not like soup.
The Mournful M finds a little solace in a 'cup a soup' after she loses yet another agent in the field.
Here we have one of the many soup recipes written by 007.
Further evidence that JAMES BOND ONLY EATS SOUP
A rogue agent has been cooking up an unlikely cover story involving 007 and fries / pies. We all know that Bond only eats soup.
Dr. Kananga would always have a cauldron of his favourite 'West Indian chicken dumpling soup' on the go in his evil lair.
In this shot it is clear that despite the Tee Hee's claw that threatens to cut off James Bond's little finger the spy is in a food induced reverie imagining the delicious harmony of spices, root vegetables and fluffy dumplings...
Roger 'can I have some ' Moore 'soup'.
While filming Skypho Daniel Craig spent his breaks sprinting to the nearest soup kitchen to get his fill. His publicist said that it was a good way for him to keep in shape and that the chase was half the fun.
Sean Connery in Thunderbowl (1965) with Luciana Paluzzi had a shared passion for carrot and coriander soup.
In this behind-the-scenes snap we see Richard Kiel goofing around with one of the giant crouton's Roger Moore demanded to be present at each meal.
In Thunderbowl (1965) James Bond is seen dancing with Fiona Volpe there is a moment where Bond breaks the forth wall and looks directly into the lens. Previously unseen out-takes reveal that Terence Young literally directed the soup addict Connery's gaze with a fully loaded spoon of soup.
BARGAIN - If your hot and sour soup needs a bit of a kick, your Mexican bean soup needs a message there is surely no better way to achieve this than a standard issue exploding spoon!
It's a steal if it goes for under $80... I will be watching this one and seeing if I can scoop up a delicious bargain...
Sorry for the post famine...
Sorry for not being active for the last few months this blog has been on the metaphorical back burner, but now we will be moving it forward to the front burner, turning the heat up to medium strong, bringing it to a simmer adding seasoning, serving up and FEASTING!!!
Even when under fire a good soup can still bring a smile to JB's face.
