i realized during this past episode how insane the amount of sibling angst in this campaign is

like Hal and Thijazi are the most obvious, and while we haven't gotten into it as much they are likely some sort of parallel to Thimble and her brother ("i left to chase danger and adventure thinking you'd be protected at home, but i couldn't stop the peril from reaching you")

But we also have Bolaire and Termina being placed in contrast with Teor and Cyd as Bolaire uses their relationship to try to cope with his situation, and then immediately tortures the Mercanaud twins for the same reason. Of course his unexpected and fraught reunion with a sister he thought was dead also mirrors Azune's reunion with Mayali, which is extra fun because while Bolaire and Azune share the "am i a tool or a person" vibe they each apply that idea very differently to their family situations.

AND at the Tachonis house the fate of the Pridesire brothers occured partially because Julien needed to prioritize keeping the stone safe and saving his sister. He made this choice pretty soon after learning it was Occtis' brother that killed him (and killing Occtis' other brother Koral)

All the noble house characters with their giant families are fascinating too like the whole black sheep vibe of Occtis and his siblings? Whatever's going on with Wick, Zebani, and Lioran? Tyranny and her sisters?

AND VAELUS OH MY GOD THE REVEAL THAT SHE GOT THE VEIL FROM HER SISTER

The sibling relationships in Campaign Four end up making up such a crazy web of parallels and contrasts and all say such different things about the story's themes it's so awesome

To summarize, Carlos Mendoza was put into ICE detention after being shot multiple times. They've neglected on feeding him and treating his wounds, and he's been transferred around multiple times. He's currently at the California City Detention Facility, which is notoriously dangerous. Carlos is still very much alive but needs immediate medical attention before things get worse.
