The way some army watch Jimin so closely is honestly fucking frustrating to me. The second he looks tired, makes a small mistake, or has one moment where he's a little less energetic than usual, suddenly it's "Jimin can't do it anymore" "he's too old", "he needs a break" etc. Like seriously, were you just waiting for him to have one imperfect moment so you could use it against him?
And the thing is, Jimin is usually so consistent. He gives so much on stage every single time. He's dancing, moving around, interacting with fans, trying to make sure everyone gets something from the performance. Of course he's going to get tired sometimes. He's a fucking human being.
What really annoys me is the double standard. People will notice every tiny moment where Jimin looks even slightly more tired than usual and immediately turn it into some huge story about how he's struggling or declining. They will analyze every little mistake, every movement, every time he doesn't look completely energetic. But when other members are clearly low-energy or barely doing anything on stage, suddenly there's always an excuse. And then people will praise them for doing the bare minimum.
And honestly, I do think there's a lot of resentment towards Jimin behind some of this. Because why are you watching him this closely? Why are you paying attention to every single little thing he does just to find something wrong with him? It really feels like some people are waiting for him to slip up so they can finally have something to say about him.
And it's also obvious that Jimin gets tired sometimes because he pushes himself so much on stage. He's the member who consistently puts the most energy into his performances. He gives everything he has, so obviously there are going to be moments where that exhaustion shows. That is completely normal.
Jimin is allowed to be tired. He's allowed to have an off moment without everyone immediately acting like his career is over. What bothers me is that the same people who are so quick to notice every little sign of tiredness from Jimin suddenly become very understanding when it's someone else.
It's not concern when you only bring it up to drag him. And it's clearly not about having high standards either, because those standards seem to disappear depending on which member you're talking about.
