I finished The Darkness Between Us and I am absolutely devastated and changed as a person. I have no idea what to do with my soul and my life after this book.

This is a piece of Ambrose, Kodiak, and their child born at the end of the book that I've headcanonned to be named Li. On the shores of Minerva :). I always imagined them as girl dads I don't know why haha.

I read this book last august while very ill in bed. The parallels were lost on me in my altered state, but looking back, the resonance was there.

This is propaganda to read the Sunbearer Trials duology starring Dezi and Marino, who are not even the main characters (Edit: HELLO??? I'm so dumb that I just. Forgot to add the art I made???? Anyway. I put it there now)

The Isle in the Silver Sea has taken up residence in my mind the past few months, and I needed to make some art to help process this magnificent story. Tasha Suri has changed my life with this one. Tragic sapphic reincarnation romance, a world built of England’s anachronistic and forced national myths, a storytelling-based magic system, and narrative as racemaking/nationmaking? This book was built to be loved by me.

For this piece, I was very inspired by Walter Crane’s illustrations for Edmund Spenser’s the Faerie Queene, which only felt appropriate for the source material.

(Thank you to Orbit for sending me an ARC ages ago!) Hopefully this won’t be the last art I make for this book :)

I just read The Jasmine Throne and the entire Burning Kingdoms trilogy by Tash Suri! I’m filled with inspiration to make concept art and visualize the words from the book.

What a wonderful, immersive political fantasy with a deeply moving love story.

It’s interesting how Priya is often mentioned to have no sense for poetry. But I find her use of magic and flowers when it comes to Malini nothing short of poetic, sexy and romantic. Honestly loved the kinkiness between these two after some time and knowing each other 😆
