âThatâs why itâs hard to make friends when youâre older,â she said. âFriendship is rude.â
Her friendâs eyes widened. âWhat?â
âThink about it! When weâre kids we decide who we like and stick by them no matter what. As adults, weâre taught to be polite.
But, friendship is an impositionâ at least, I want it to be. Call me after nine oâclock. Donât think youâll ever wear out your welcome. Overshare, show up at my door, go to the grocery store with me so we can waste another hour chatting.
Weâll never be friends if we spend all of our energy trying not to bother each other.â

And I worked with a man called Squidward. And he was a Protestant man, but we were the best of friends. But by God, he was crabid as a bag of cats. He was an auld grump. And he'd be big into the flutes and the Oboes and things like that. He lived in a big stone head.

[Nuacht â PlĂ© ] TAOILLE, an rĂ© nua do IMLĂ 3.0 atĂĄ beagnach anso
Ar dtĂșs bĂĄire, ba mhaith liom a rĂĄ go bhfuil brĂłn an domhain orm nĂĄ rabhas ag scrĂobh chomh minic agus gur cheart dom a bheith! Faraor do bhĂos rĂł-ghnĂłthach le rudaĂ a bhaineann lem shaol fĂ©inig chun dĂriĂș ar na pĂłstĂĄileacha so, ach, is cosĂșil go bhfuil (fĂ© lĂĄthair ar a laghad) fĂ© dheireadh, thar n-ais! Agus a lucht lĂ©ite, tĂĄ nuacht ollmhĂłr agam daoibh! Dona lĂ©itheoirĂ a bhĂ ag lĂ©amh mo chuid pĂłstĂĄileacha fadĂł, ba chĂłir go mbeadh 's agaibh go raibh an banna ceoil IMLĂ tar Ă©is a rĂĄ go rabhadar ag sĂșil le halbam nua a chur amach ag pointe Ă©igin. Ăfach, nuair a chuireadh muid le fhios go raibh an t-albam so ĂĄ dhĂ©anamh, nĂ raibh 's againn an mbeadh sĂ© ag teacht amach i 2024 nĂł i 2025. Ach anois agus 2024 thart, cinntĂodh gurb Ă© an bliain seo a bhĂ i gceist, agus mar gheall air sin is cosĂșil gur cheap IMLĂ gur cheart dĂłibh nĂos mĂł nuacht a thabhairt dĂșinn fĂ© agus a n-albam beagnach rĂ©idh le heisiĂșint. Ach, cad Ă© an nuacht san?
Bhuel, b'fhĂ©idir gur cheart dom tosnĂș leis an nuacht is mĂł atĂĄ curtha amach acu... beidh an albam nua ag teacht amach sa mhĂ seo chugainn ar an 14Ăș MĂĄrta. Do lĂ©is i gceart Ă© sin, an t-albam fĂ©na rabhamar ag dĂ©anamh teoiricĂ go dtĂ anois, ag teacht an mhĂ seo chugainn. Agus nĂ hĂ© sin an t-aon rud bhĂ curtha in iĂșl dĂșinn, ach tĂĄid tar Ă©is ainm a thabhairt ar agus a nochta don albam: "TAOILLE". Chomh maith leis, sa fĂłgra cĂ©anna ina bhĂ sĂ© fĂłgartha gurb Ă© sin a bhĂ in ainm a bheith mar ainm an albaim thaispĂ©anadar cĂ©n saghas ealaĂne a bheith ann don albam, is fĂ©idir Ă© a fheiscint thĂos.
Agus anois, an cheist is mĂł, cad iad na hamhrĂĄin go mbeadh le fheiscint i dTAOILLE? Bhuel, ceapaimse fhĂ©inig ar a laghad go mbeidh; - Cathain (An leagan 2024) - SlĂĄinte - Mise - As Do Cheo ann, ach chomh maith leo sin, ar a hInsta cuireadh muid le fhios go mbeidh amhrĂĄn nua IMLĂ darb ainm "Timpeall ArĂs" (seo Ă© an t-amhrĂĄn a bhĂ san bhlaiseadh beag a thugadar dĂșinn a bhĂ ĂĄ phlĂ© agam sa phĂłstĂĄil seo!) ag teacht amach go luath leis, ceann dĂł gur fĂ©idir linn buile fĂ© thuairim a thabhairt is a rĂĄ go mbeidh sĂ© san albam nua leis. Taobh amuigh dena hamhrĂĄin sin, ceapaim go bhfuil seans lĂĄidir ann leis go mbeidh an t-amhrĂĄn CeolĂĄin Saor san albam nua, go hĂĄirithe agus Ă© cinntithe dĂșinn anois mar gheall ar na hamhrĂĄn nua Clagarnach Ăł CeolĂĄn a bhĂonn ag teacht amach sna laethanta so. Bhuel, sin Ă© anois, cad a cheapann sibh fĂ©n albam agus an t-ainm atĂĄ air? Inis dom sa replies! Ba mhaith liom nĂos mĂł pĂłstĂĄileacha a scrĂobh is a chur ar an mblag so sa todhchaĂ leis mar san mĂĄ bheidh aon nuacht eile ann, inseod daoibh!

the new American Gothic. // artist unknown, feel free to tag and tell me who painted this.
This is by Mexican American artist Crieselda Vasquez. Her words on this painting is as follows.
âThe two most important people in my life, my parents, are also the two who motivated me to develop such a strong concept. When my parents pose for these paintings, their faces are reduced to extremely raw and somehow vulnerable expressions. Sadly, they strive to be invisible every day. They donât have to pretend to illustrate the invisible. They have dealt with constant rejection, suspicion and fear so long, that it seems now that it comes naturally to them. I strive to capture how their expressions deliver that sense of tiredness, resignation, and quiet acceptance. It seems relevant to show that underneath all the politicization and undeserved labeling this community receives, these are regular people just like all of us. In the long tradition of immigrants that come to the United States, they have made homes here and they are just trying to live a simple life with a bit of security and hopefulness for their children."
[ID: a mexican american man and woman, both middle aged, posed and painted in a way that evokes the painting american gothic. they are in simple but well-cared-for, unstained working clothes, standing in front of a red chevrolet astro van with the word 'hi' and an '=(' face finger-written in the dirt on the rear window. the man is holding a farming hoe straight and tall wearing a complicated, stoic expression. the woman, standing half a step behind him and angled toward him, wears an equally complicated expression, hers a half-smile. she holds a red bucket with cleaning supplies. both figures have work-worn hands in compositional emphasis; the man's hand is clenched around the hoe, and the woman's arm veins are protruding up from where she's holding the handle of the bucket. a strong sunlight casts emphasis on their faces and shadows.
