Artists on tumblr I have a question..

How do you keep yourself motivated when youre a beginner and dont have the skills to draw what you want. Im sure you get questions similar to this alot but I want to learn how to draw so bad but its so hard to keep myself motivated and enjoying it when everything I make looks like a toddler drew it. Learning anatomy and perspective and all those things feels so daunting idek where to start let alone keep myself motivated enough to keep moving forward..I just wanted to know what kept you all going when you were beginners and if you had any tips cuz it feels impossible..

scrolling through tumblr seeing all these writeblr posts of people saying "ah yes, writing a little is better than writing nothing!" or other motivational stuff and I'm just like- I smile, like the post, and continue scrolling, but never actually doing anything about the fics (--YES, PLURAL BECAUSE IM CRAZY AND I'VE COME TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT FACT--) that are sat in each of their little google docs tabs that are literally immediately next to tumblr on my device's search engine :P

Its pretty self indulgent too but whatever I can do what I want, daredevil is but a glob of red clay that I can mold him into (she says as if she hasn’t quadrupled checked to make sure the stuff he would do is accurate to his character and if its not how to push him into said situations)

I am a normal person who understands thought crimes are not real, fiction is not reality, and people can read/write/enjoy whatever they want as long as it’s fiction and no one in real life is harmed. I don’t have to like it, because I know how to mute, block and scroll past what I don’t want to see. Overall I think labels are childish, but by definition I am proship and profic. I am also against censorship.

And if you (general you) shame or harass real people over fiction, you’re a bully and this blog is not a safe place for you.

I lowkey feel like such a chud cuz I cant handle change or super intense negative emotions to the point where I cant read crossover fics or any crazy au’s cuz I get this sort of, impatient anxiety from the characters meeting new characters or discovering new stuff.

Like they dont know what something is/who someone is is but I do and I wanna just scream at them and tell them to do💀💀 it stops me from reading alot of cool fics

Its like this for timetravel fics too- the same with shows, any time traveling or alternate universe or crossover stuff like just gives me this weird uncomfortable feeling. I think im just weird idk

Ok I know ive been busy with tomodachi life but I have a Zutoph idea and its a modern au which I usually dont like with atla but I like it for this idea.

But I’m having trouble deciding if itll be a modern bending universe or nonbending universe. Bending has no part in the plot but I really like Tophs seismic sense and idk how else to include it without including bending. Like I dont mind including bending but it prolly wont show up much if at all.

Any thoughts on what to do😿 im indecisive rn
