godddd for the last time. a strong sense of justice in autistic people is not always a positive trait. its just a trait. a strong sense of justice does not mean that you are the most objective source on morality, it means you can’t let go of what you believe is right or should be done. autistic people aren’t morally superior or more socially intelligent than allistic people, you guys have GOT to stop acting like its progressive to decide a certain neurotype is the one everyone should default to.
a strong sense of justice can mean anything from unwilling to betray your moral code to harassing people for thinking differently because you believe you’re so right the other person HAS to understand. it can mean not giving up on what you believe in and it can mean believing something horrible and yet being unwilling to hear why youre wrong. ive had to call in sick because i heard a group of people disagreed with me on an issue i cared about because i couldnt process the fact that i was wrong and if i was put in any confrontational situation i would not be able to do anything but defend myself even knowing i was sort of wrong.
a strong sense of justice is not an exclusively positive trait. almost nothing is. everything is complex and nuanced.

I pointed this out the last time this post started circulating, but House is explicitly disabled because Cuddy didn’t take him seriously about his pain until it was too late to save his leg muscle, and then she tried to convince him to cut it off so he could have a “normal” life with a prosthesis. He’s quite literally a walking display of what happens when doctors refuse to listen to patients who don’t communicate in a socially acceptable manner, and the reason he gets away with so much stuff is because Cuddy knows he doesn’t share her blind spot when it comes to putting the wellbeing of the patient above everything else, fuck protocol, fuck insurance, fuck liability, fuck the Hippocratic Oath, this person is in pain right now, everything else can go to hell until their pain stops.

i just really enjoy characters who aren’t just “weird” but who genuinely experience the world differently than most people especially wrt how they experience their own emotions like i will always be a sucker for characters who don’t really know if they CAN experience “normal” emotions figuring out how they can relate to other people etc. and i basically never enjoy the “solution” to this being assimilation or like exceptionalism of a love interest character. i never want to see a character realize that they’re experiencing “normal” romantic feelings but the tension and possible conflict of “idk if i can even feel love like that but this might be the closest i can get” do you see the difference??? and i also love low empathy characters and never want to see a low empathy character get “positive character development” where they can suddenly feel empathy like “normal” i want them to be bad at it forever okay thank you

I think it's important to look at works from people of all perspectives, and I think it's important for us to be able to look at others' works and see if we can apply our own frameworks (i.e anti-transmasculinity) to the ideas they're presenting as well.
I have also included some texts that I consider foundational to these theories, and I highly recommend reading them to see the frameworks a lot of us are building upon.

i’m not kidding we need to stop conceding the point that it’s weird in the first place for women to be into gay romance/porn/etc. it’s driving me up the wall that every attempt i see at thoughtful/nuanced Social Commentary on the matter begins with “lots of people don’t understand why women would be into this, BUT here’s a list of Special Reasons that this appeals to the Feminine Gaze” as if this is not just reinforcing the premise that there is some fundamental & universal split between how men & women experience desire. imagine how much more productive our conversations could be if we instead started with “lots of people don’t understand why women would be into this. why? what assumptions are those people making to begin with about women?”
