I think my main takeaway from love through a prism was really about the different ways we interact with the people or passions we love. We can love them but choose a different, more logical path that aligns better with our desires; love them but realise love doesn’t sustain our desire alone - sometimes we love, but we weren’t meant to do that thing we love; sometimes we love and want to become number one to prove that love, a testament of that love; and sometimes we love because we love the feeling and not the outcome
all beautiful and valid, but all so different
just finished love through a prism and I loved it a lot.
One of the things I love so much is that everyone (I think) got what they needed in the end. They all found peace through what they did, and even though it’s different, that is okay.
Another thing I love? The fact that they changed their minds. Joffrey decided not to pursue art as a career even though loving it. Peter changed to pursue what he loved, and let himself change his mind. Lili and Shin both realised that they had passions they wanted to pursue. And kit let himself create art again. Even Dorothy, who knew she was going to be married, still pursued what she wanted. I love that about this show. I think personally I have a very fixed mindset unintentionally, and this show helped me realise that not everything is forever, and that’s okay. Things can change.
Another thing? Their close knitted friendship. Although there were romantic relationships hidden within a lot of it, I think that their love for eachother (platonic or otherwise) brought them closer together. The fact that a single song played once on a night where they were all together makes Lili stop in awe. Running to hug Catherine when she gets back to England. They created this community where everyone learnt and appreciated eachother, how amazing is that?
Towards the end I just couldn’t stop crying, it was all so beautiful.
A quote that really impacted me was by Professor Brant, “Time does not wait on words, only on the courage to act”
That quote really impacted me too.
yeah anyways I really liked a lot of things about it and I thought it should be shared
It makes me happy that Kit’s dad reassured Catherine that their families’ relationship would remain the same after she decided to end her engagement with kit , he genuinely wanted the best for her .
THE IMPORTANCE PLACED UPON THE LOVE OF FRIENDSHIP IN LOVE THROUGH A PRISM MEANS EVERYTHING TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE ITS SO BEAUTIFUL THIS GROUP OF FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER AND THEY ALL LOVE EACHOTHER SO MUCH RAHHHHHHHH
Kissing the finger she made a pinky promise with... there is an incredible level of pining and yearning on display here

I'm thinking about Love Through a Prism
I’m thinking of the scene when Lili returns to Japan and later learns that Kit died. That episode and the next are shown in black and white. It’s a beautiful representation of her feelings during the time.
Of how her world lost its color without him in it. When she finally sees color again, it’s when he shows up in Japan actually alive and the first things that light up are his blonde hair and blue eyes.
It’s beautiful beyond the fact that he was her color but also that even on the precipice of marrying Shin, nothing else had brought such color into her life. And despite that, she didn’t immediately choose Kit.
It was so sweet when Kit then gave her a sketchbook filled with all things he had seen. Despite the longing she felt, she let him board his boat back to England.
The next scene shows him holding a ticket intended for her to come with him. It was heartbreaking and warming all at that same time.
That after 5 years, he had waited for her and wanted to take her with him. But when he learned she was to marry Shin, he made no comment. He chose to let her live in peace instead of disrupting her new found life.
When she and Shin decide to break off their marriage and pursue their own goals, even then, she and Kit were still apart. It isn't until another year and a half later that they finally unite and acknowledge the color they bring to each other's lives.
I found the seemingly endless push and pull and long waiting game to be so breathtaking. Across oceans, time, and the trials of life, their love that was so gentle and refreshing continued to shine through it all.
When they finally admit their feelings to each other, they use so many words, but none of them were “I love you.” I felt like that in itself was so powerful.
For them, the knowledge that they brought color into each other's lives was more meaningful than those three words. Kit tells Lili that the landscape is nothing without her. She in turn tells him that a world without him was a world without color.
He then tells her that her being there fills the world with colorful hues and that it’s the color he needs. That it’s always been her. Those words to me are far more meaningful than just, “I love you.”
It brings me to question just how important “I love you” really is and if it’s enough. If it adequately encapsulates the feeling of love itself.
Lili is Kit's ultimate muse
Say what you will but I still think there’s so much intimacy and devotion in the way Carmilla resorted to draining an entire village worth of women dry before even considering drinking from Laura.
This stubborn and viscerally evil devil girl has mustered enough love in her rotting, undead, soon-to-be-staked heart, to save the life of the human dear to her, for last.
Oh so when Jonathan Harker rides in a black carriage through the wild Eastern European forests to reach an old man's ancient family castle (which contains a beautiful blonde) it's all "best of luck on your endeavors!" and "have a great visit!!" but when I, Carmilla-

Ngl you are my favorite Artoria artist on this site (and every other site ngl) because you are the only one who actually treats Artoria like the adult woman in her 30s she is and has the courage to display an Artoria who 10000% done with the universe at this point
THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH FOR YOUR AMAZING MESSAGE!!!!
