For those who want counselling/therapy but can’t afford it

1 50-minute therapy session can cost a lot of money ($50 USD to $200 USD) and I know that it is super unaffordable for some but I have good news! You can email/call to ask counsellors/therapists if they have slots for pro bono (free/nearly free) cases! It does take some trial and error in finding someone willing to help as pro bono… But it’s worth a shot to ask!

It sounds too good to be true but there’s a code of ethics and one part of it says that therapists are supposed to provide some services free of charge as a “gesture of goodwill”
